Hi, all! Been away for a while, but now I'm back, with an interesting article that, yes, DOES pertain to LOTR/Middle-earth:

"Hobbit" Discovered: Tiny Human Ancestor Found in Asia (http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/10/1027_041027_homo_floresiensis.html)

My apologies if to the mods if you think I posted this in the wrong forum; feel free to move it.

But what do you guys think of this?

This topic is being read and discussed with great interest here on the Downs! Since there are already two threads about it, one serious: Headline News: We Have Hobbit Ancestors (http://forum.barrowdowns.com/showthread.php?t=11299) on the Novices and Newcomers forum, and one more humorous: Existence of Hobbits Discovered (http://forum.barrowdowns.com/showthread.php?t=11296) on the Mirth forum, and since this news is not actually a book discussion, I'm closing this thread. Please choose one or both of the others to post and read there. Thanks!
