I predict that this will put the How Do You Imagine Other BDers? thread and the photo page out of business! (Wait, maybe I should have said so in The Future of the Downs... :p )
The other night I was bored and doodling little pictures, and I decided to cartoonize some Downers while poking a little fun at the comings and goings on the fora. Warning: they're quite silly, and hardly great feats of artistry.

I just noticed your hilarious comments underneath the pics.
I picture [Lal] as a hobbit, and therefore have made her one, albeit a remarkably tall hobbit. Or maybe he's a really short Dunlending.Perhaps a little of both?
I didn't misspell "Legendarium" by the way; I just realized it looks like I did... my M just kinda ran into an N-ish sort of character...No worries, I didn't notice anyway.
Oh, canonicity. Wars have begun over it.Not... really...

Welcome, Bergilbut are you referring to da vinci as an artist or a predictorShe was referring to him being an artist.
I also originally thought she had discovered some hidden code in the LotR. It's amazing how much that book has influenced people... Da Vinci is no longer an artist in people's minds, but a codemaker.

To be honest that didn't occur to me until I read that sentence! I'd seen the thread and noted that Enca had started it and since we all know she's an artist I figured it would have some link to the artist. I only think of the book if the full title is there.

Of course that was made in 'mirth' (note the :p), but I guess I should say for those who haven't been paying attention to the new photo page that the "black eye" is homage to the eyeliner that Eomer has around his left eye in his real picture. edit: I should note that Lhuna suggested it to Eomer (sort've) so she also gets credit for inspiring me. ;)

It's wonderful how symbols can make you think of so many things based upon simple shapes and memorable colours. Very good knot, I've had to keep a distance from drawing them, since one side always seems to be lopsided and nothing matches up the the other end... Yours is very skilled.

Ka, the reason it came out so well is because I draw them on a grid. I learned how to do them when I got this book (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1861081154/qid=1126365540/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/104-6658386-4653507?v=glance&s=books&n=507846) out from the library last summer. I started out just making the ones in the book, and then started designing my own about 6 or 7 months ago. In fact, I'm in the process of designing a pendant with a similar knot on it for my jewelry making class, but that's another story...

Which reminds me of another drawing I'm, er, working on right now.
By the way, just to clear things up, that is supposed to be Brad Pitt, not phantom. The title 'Pitt, Bloom, or Wormtounge' gives it away. ;)

Wonderful graphics though, I admire artists who can work wonders with the computer... It's much better, because it gives SpM a more angle of fear and threat. Like those staues of Zeus with thunderbolts from the Hellenistic Period.

"You want to be a Werewolf!? Herrrbieeeeeee!"
Haha! Yeah, Sauce turned out rather...unlike his [old] avatar. I was working off of a zoomed up (ie: slightly blurry) image from Crombie's awesome Periodic Table & didn't ask Sauce if he had a larger image until I had to do his garb. Then I realized how off some of the rest of the details were.
mormegil looks so awesome
Mormegil was a pain!! I was trying to do everybody with as little shading/detail as possible (because with a sharpie it's practically either no line or a line, not much in between) but with him that was impossible. Darn you Morm!!! :p
On a side note: I was thinking about making everyone black & white except do the moderator of the game (in this case, BW) in color. Ran out of space in this one, but what does everybody think about adding "Moderator: The Barrow-Wight" to the left over the 'Tol-In -Gaurhoth' & "Werewolves Win!" to the right over the 'Isle of Werewolves?'
