This just occured to me as I was just killed off in WWJ (my very first game). What's gone through your mind when you've found out you've been killed in a WW or WWJ game? Doesn't matter what role you were playing, or if you died by lynching or wolf attack.
As I just died, my thoughts were: "[Insert rather rude language here]!!!! And I had made it so long! I had all my stuff prepared and everything. Garglefraster! [More rude language] WOLVES!"

Ya, well, try being Wayne, Gil or myself, being lynched on Day 1 in pretty much every game you've played in. It's rather frusturating. My thoughts are like "<Insert rude language> I told you how many times not to follow the tradition of lynching me on the first day!! GRRRR!! You'll all get what's coming to you in the end!! <more rude language>" and then "PLATYPUS!!" which puts me in a good mood. (long inside story)

I was killed on the last night of WW XVI... survived all the way through in WW XV... yet on WW XVI I was thinking something along the lines of "Well, I saw it coming... but why??? why tonight of all nights?? and darned, so close yet so far!!"

I'm the opposite. I'm one of those people who nobody really thinks about :( :D. I've pretty much died in an expected manner in all of my games. Either as a wolf and I'm highly suspected or as a gifted and the wolves got me.
I have never been lynched as an innocent.

In Werewolf XVI: "Geesh, what took you so long?" :p
But then again, there's also this: "Well, I'll be! I've never been killed on a Night before!"

I suppose my most ‘memorable’ death was in WWXII. My thoughts were a sort of confused mixture of disbelief, frustration and somewhere deep down a slight trace of amusement. My exact final words I forgot but they were likely discourteous and mildly abusive of a certain Downer involved. Especially when it later turned out my pathetic performance pretty much cost us (the wolves) the game. :o
As for my other deaths: I once made it to the end, was twice lynched as an innocent and one time killed by the wolves. I was never really surprised - though definitely insulted when I died in a double lynch on the first Day of WWX.

Werewolf I (Werewolf, lynched on Day 1)-"Why did I have to be so confrontational?"
Werewolf II (Ranger, killed on Night 2)-"Why did I have to be so unsubtle?"
Werewolf IV (Seer, killed by the last, extremely angry wolf, LMP)-"Why did I have to be so unsubtle?"
Werewolf X (Ranger, killed by wolves at the end)-"Why did all the innocents have to be so useless?"
Werewolf XII (Villager, lynched on Day 1)-"Why did all the innocents have to be so useless?"
Werewolf XIII (Villager, killed by wolves at the end)-"Why did I have to spend the whole game avenging grudges from previous games?"
Werewolf XV (Moderator, mangled at the beginning)-"Ouch."

WW1, Killed by the wolvish Kuruharan about 3 nights later than expected. "Why don't I get a gruesome death scene?"
WW? Oddwen's game.... Mortified as an extremely shortlived wolf but enjoyed some good puns "&@££@*#$"
WWXV A comparatively successful game .with a bewildering ending - having expected to find the result of the lynch I found out that the game was over and I was dead killed by heroes without a nightfall ... so it was "What the....? " and "Why am I dead"

Mine was more colorful, Ang. Not that I advocate cursing, of course.
My first ever werewolf death was "Hahahahahahahahahaha. Wolves just won. Kudos to Kuru." He played a great game, that Kuru.

as Glirdy said, it is frustrating being lynched off right away, usually that leads to me gathering a posse to write spam all over the forum but then i relaize my KD is done and i go eat and watch my soaps... i mean wrestling shows and monster trucks grrrrrrr, but seriously, she has to get back together with Brett soon, there so good together and not with Brett's Evil twin Dwayne

WW XI: Oh crap! I just did the wolves work for them...
WW XII: Confound the Phantom! Why am I playing against geniuses???
WW XIV: Didn't die
WW XV: Didn't die
WW XVI: Was Moderator
WW XVII: That was... unexpected.

As I died in 'No Man Is An Island' (WW XVI): "Dammit, how did Malkatoj outlast me? Note to self: in future, be less balanced. Be less attacking. And for God's sake, next time, get rid of Kuruharan and Gurthang earlier on in the game!"
But also, on a simpler level: "...well if I'm going down, I'm taking as many as I can down with me!" :p

Wrong idea Gil. These are about WW and WWJ.
WWJ IV: Wow.... that was just bad. I mean really bad. I should have lynched myself for that. CURSE YOU TECH WEEK! *shakes fists at slave driver... er, director*
Only one I can really remember is WWJ 3:
"If they don't kill Anguirel tomorrow I am going to <insert very rude word here> scream!"

I - uh - forget the numbers, so I'm guessing at them here....
IV: Why did I have to get two fellow rookies as my fellow werewolves? Grrr!
X: That'll show SPM for suspecting me all game long! Grrr!
XII?: Hmmm.... maybe I don't want to be so obviously innocent....
XIII: Hah! You will pay, Anguirel, you will pay! Hah hah!
...It's been that long?!? It's time I played again, eh?

My favorite death of mine was the coconut milker one (can remember #) I did not think I would die so soon.. I cursed that wolf Garin I knew, just knew he was a wolf and had taken his revenge on me. I swore up a storm at my screen then laughed myself silly over my death scene! Hillarious Mod-God! Then I felt better.:D

Kudos, Jenny, for being so bold on your first game. Not many new players would have had the confidence you had. I was very impressed with your posting. Good job!

*blushes*why thank you, Wolfie...
Honestly, I was afraid my boldness would prove my undoing (As indeed it did). Can't wait to see if Firefoot's as Wolvish as I think her.

I got lynched on IV, VII, and XVI
Being lynched is fun. Thrilling. Like skydiving before you realise that you forgot to put on a parachute.
On the other games:
V -Actually, Adam played in this one. He survived to see the villagers lose.
VI - I was killed by Werewolves. I actually felt useless in this game.
IX - I was a Shirriff, and boldly declared so. But I don't care, I got the Bear! ( :p to Glirdan)
XVII - malka declared me innocent. There goes my chance to be lynched. (But, no, it had to be. Bless you, malkatoj. :) )

VII - (in retrospect) Curse you, Eomer and Estel! Curse you, timezones! Curse you, villagers who wouldn't believe me when I say Eomer is a wolf!
XII - Formendacil hostaged me? That's interesting...
(Lord phantom killed me for not posting on that Day, in which Formendawolf was lynched. He threw me on the wall and my neck snapped. Brutal death, no?)
XIV - W...what? I haven't even posted yet! I was hospitalized in RL! Now go defend yourselves from Night kills!

XVIII - (I 'poofed' out of this one due to misunderstandings, so it's not really a death per sé, but it felt like one anyway) - I've been screwed. :p
WJ5 - I expected it. What else do you expect when you nail a werewolf first Day? ;)

WWJ4-My first game, and only one at the time of this post. Was a Werewolf with Mithalwen and Roa; Roa was caught out by the Seer, but Mith and I hung on the doom the village of Squaresville. So no death for Elu. :p

I would like to say that I am thoroughly disappointed with my death in wwj! I join this game because it promised to have a awesome narration and cool switchs of rolls from the norm. Well due to Sleepy's bad taste in his mouth I get a lame beheading instead of the glorified death I thought I would get (or something cool at least!) I don't think you should have changed your plans Sleepy because you thought it would offend people! You didn't think it would offend them before, Why the switch? Just because others thought you were being rash on your Modding rules does not mean you get to slack and put up a lame death that took you an hour. I hope you keep to your original story and for the next time state ALL your rules before we play!!

Now now, Valier, Sleepy has really been busy these past few days, and didn't have time to write a better death. It's not fair to say something like that. Be kind. And offensive writing is causing all sorts of trouble elsewhere. It's better if it's avoided.
Valier
03-03-2006, 03:29 PM
I'm not being offensive! I just took it as because Sleepy was having problems with other players hence the bad taste, that he was mad so just put a quick death up.:D
I felt this was unfair to me! I did not expect a short death post from him because he was having a "bad day" that is all.
Roa_Aoife
03-03-2006, 03:51 PM
Sorry, dear, I didn't mean that you were being offensive, I meant that it was understandable for Sleepy to want to avoid writing something offensive. Things just happen sometimes, and sometimes a person's writing suffers from their mood.

Ooooooooooooooooooh and how would you know?...despite my fluctuating suspicions t'was that rascally dwarf Kuruharan who was the wuluf......
The memory of Kuruharan was useful though in my last game - I remembered that it didn't matter if a few people suspected you a bit as long as you weren't sufficiently high up enough of their lists to actually get lynched :D In fact you may be better off being suspected a bit than not at all ... I may be imagining it but at a certain point in the game it seems possible to rustle up a lynch mob against someone on the rather illogical grounds that they have not been suspected by anyone up to that point..... which suddenly seems very suspicious!!!

Here are mine:
WW: LXXXIX (wolf, lynched by village after Seeromer revealed me) Yeah, I kinda expected that... I'm surprized the innocents kept analysing me as "wolvish, but probably just a confused innocent"...
WW: LXXXVII (wolf, lynched on Day2) Dang it, Nerwen, why did you not vote for me? :( I told you to bus me!
WW: XCI (Hunter, lynched on Day2) Hahaha I'm crazy!
WW: XCII (Seer, killed in endgame) I'm so happy I got all the wolves sorted out I don't even care about the loss.
WW: XCIII (Ranger, lynched on Day1) Shut your mouth next time and don't blabber about!
WW: XCIV (Ranger killed on Night3) Ooo, I'm N-killed! But darn it, I should have followed up on my bluff and not backed off in the middle, that gave it all away to the wolves! ><
WW: XCVI (ordo, lynched on Day2) My gosh the village is infuriating! Did they all decide to be dumb toDay?
WW: XCVII (ordo, killed by Shastawolf on N4) Dang you wolf! There's a known innocent about and you go for me? Like what is this? I even wrote a post overnight, and now you kill me? When there is a known person in the village, and it's endgame time? Really? [more rude language]
-->the last one was definitely one of my more, um, [I]interesting deaths in terms of my reaction...
