Just curious...Where did all the Slurp spiders go? I've noticed they have been gone for a few days now...Did they lose interest? :p

To Slurp Spider City, of course. Really, where else would they have gone?

 ya know when you go to 'who's online'. Well there are usually things called Slurp Spiders and Guests and there hasn't been any for awhile now. We just find it kind of odd...they've been here for so long and then all of a sudden *poof* they're gone! No biggy...just wondering where they went is all :)

I was wondering about that, too. For example- just now under Currently Active Users is says 45(3 members + 42 guests).
Formerly when I clicked on Currently Active Users it would bring up the members and the guests, listing what they were all looking at.
Just now, when I clicked on Currently Active Users to bring up the list, it only shows the members online - and states that there are 3 members + 0 guests.

Apparantly this has been the big IM'ing talk betwen Downers.
I have discussed this with atleast 5 downers, but no one know what has happened.
Apparently I don't go to Who's Online often enough.
Perhaps the security measures have become stricter? Or the spiders have just lost interest.

I could be misremembering (ha! a new word), but I think there used to be a selection where you could filter out the guests from the Who's Online list manually. Maybe that was set to the default and the option to view guests taken away as a bandwidth saving measure. *shrugs*
I'll miss chasing the spiders to forgotten old topics. :(

Definitely. The spiders always seemed to be at old threads I could never find. It's always fun to read posts that are several years old.
The first time I noticed all the spiders missing, I felt baffled and a little lonely. At least I know now I'm not the only one wondering what happened...

They must've been destroyed with Shelob in the eruption of Mount Doom.
