The Beatles planned to do a live-action version with Paul McCartney as Frodo Baggins, Ringo Starr as Sam Gamgee, George Harrison as Gandalf, and John Lennon as Gollum - but those plans came to nothing

I think that would have been a great idea :D What pop stars could have been in the film or could have played those characters better? I'm thinking Liam Gallagher as Aragorn. :cool:
