Did Strider go into the West with Frodo ?

Frodo travelled to the Grey Havens on his pony called Strider, which had borne him all the way from Minas Tirith back to the Shire.

Did Strider board ship with Frodo, or did Sam, Merry or Pippin take him back to the Shire ?

Frodo didn't have Sam's attachment to animals, and I don't see why he would have wished to bring Strider with him. He probably left the pony to Sam, along with all his other possessions.

I agree. Sam, of course, would have taken splendid care of Mr. Frodo's pony. :)
