How many can you come up with?
You cannot add suffixs i.e. ing, ed, s(for plural), etc.

RaceR

XeroX

AsiA

here are a few to start with.

Lucy on the off chance you are not a spam bot, threads here should have at least some connection with Tolkien

We could try:

ArdA
GlamdrinG
GamlinG
FelaróF
DamroD
OdO
OthO
NáiN
EönwË
and of course
NerweN

There.

I think it's going to be a pretty short thread, though.

SaeroS

Nerwen

*slaps self on head* And there I was trying to think of ones for "M" and "S"!

And since we have MîM and SaeroS, we must also have

GurthanG
and
GlaurunG

Well, this wasn't legitimate when she/it started, but you turned it around!
Regrettably, I think you're right in that this one will have a short shelf life.

Very good, Erendis. I knew there had to be another "R" one.

...However...

*adopts stern expression*

I'm afraid I can not accept "NaiN II" as a different name from "NaiN". I'm sure lucyyenic, were she– gulp!– still with us, would agree.

Given the lineage of this thread, possibly the most appropriate Tolkien-related word:

MathoM.

:D

Pushing it a bit but how about Nibs Cotton and Nick Cotton (not the Eastenders one)- in Lucy's definitive absence I will accept Nerwen's judgement... she has the name for it....:Merisu:

Nerwen

Hmmn. That's a hard one to call.

Ah! If only Lucy were still with us. I'm sure she'd know what to do.:(

You cannot add suffixs i.e. ing, ed, s(for plural), etc.

Lucy? Is that you? So there's no reason we can't have two-word names? Lucy?

There. Nibs and Nick are in.:smokin:

As stated in the second post (http://forum.barrowdowns.com/showpost.php?p=622662&postcount=2) of this thread, the idea here is that the words used must be found in Tolkien's books, seeing it's a Tolkien forum and all.

In view of this topic, origin, may be the most appropriate Tolkien-related words:
MathoM.

How about SpammerS?

Galadriel55

I was so excited. I thought the Quiz forum has awakened from it's slumber. :(

How about SpammerS?

A weird chain of threads and references lead me to this forgotten gem. I am now reviving it for the hilarity, as it is a legitimate thread started by one of the legendary spammers of the spamming days. In fact, Lucy and Tom, who also left his mark on this thread, are the two star-crossed spammers who featured in one of Nerwen's WW games. Here's one for Lucy and Tom! Hope to never see you again, but thank you for the entertainment!

And to pretend to keep it on topic, a themed list of Downers that fit the rules of the thread:

EonwE
LindiL
NerweN
ShastaniS
The MightT

D'aww. Sadly my home forum has long since lost all its troll/spammer threads, but this nicely scratches the nostalgia itch. ^_^

Out of curiousity, I went through and picked out the first valid answer given for each letter of the alphabet so far:

ArdA
Bob
[c]
DamroD
EönwË
FelaróF
GlamdrinG
HaletH
IstarI
[j]
[k]
LabadaL
MîM
NáiN
OdO
[p]
[q]
RodnoR
SaeroS
Tinwelint
[u]
[v]
[w]
[x]
[y]
[z]

I don't think we're going to get much for most of them, but I can offer:

KuduK
Pip ("I'm generally called Pippin, or even Pip.")

I'm not sure I can get away with crunc, the very early Gnomish (=Noldorin =Sindarin) word for 'crow' (and so essentially = 'crebain'), but I feel like a C entry is possible.

(There's also a Noldorin name 'Ulu' for Ulmo, but I don't even know where it's from...)

Let me offer Carc, father of Roäc in The Hobbit.
