Hi! I am new here so I will introduce myself. I've been an avid reader of Tolkien for a few years now, and I am currently working my way through the HoME. I am involved in the Tolkien society at my university, and currently I have been inspired to write some solo piano compositions inspired by The Silmarillion. Here are some links to them.

It's always cool to welcome a fellow musician! We have several around here.

I added a little to your thread title to let people know what's inside. Your compositions are beautiful, and performed well! Nirnaeth Arnoediad was my favorite, I think. Thank you for sharing.

Welcome to the Downs, Joahob!

Lovely compositions... and like Legolas, I especially enjoyed Nirnaeth Arnoediad.

Welcome, welcome!

I must say, Joahob, if I could get my hands on the notes to the music you write I would totally play just that. That is, if I can. I'm not sure I'm technically anvanced enough yet...

Anyways, I'm in love with it! May I be the first to say that I particularly like the Finduilas composition, though all of them are very lovely!

First, welcome to the Downs, Joahob! :D

Second, the three compositions are lovely! I particularly like the one on Finduilas.

Do please let us know when you have other pieces available. I'd certainly love to hear them! :)
