Out of curiousityI've searched but being mostly computer illiterate didn't find much information.

Many here quoteTolkien's letters... A) are they published somewhere currently or out of print? and B) who are they to? Fans, publishers, a nemesis in the field of SciFi?

The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien (http://www.amazon.com/Letters-J-R-R-Tolkien-J-R/dp/0618056998) is a great source for correspondence written by the Professor. It was edited by Humphrey Carpenter with the assistance of C.J.R.T, and consists of various letters and unsent drafts to a wide variety of persons, including Tolkien's (future) wife, his children, book publishers, and readers. I highly recommend it.
