Elladan and Elrohir

I'm trying to find info on Elladan and Elohir. I've looked in the ROTK indexes and on encyclopedia of Arda. But did JRRT write anything else about their character/personality? Oh, and does anyone know if after the War of the Ring if they went over the Sea with their father, or choose to stay? Just wondering. smilies/smile.gif Thanks.

Not much is known, except they rescued their mother from orcs and participated in the war of the ring. Their final fate is unknown, Tolkien never wrote anything about what choice they made, but since they were twins they probably made the same choice.

I read somwhere that after the remaint of Galadriels people that settled in Southern Mirkwood that Celeborn went to Imladris and there dwelt for a while with Elladan and Elrohir,the sons of Elrond.

That is correct, Celeborn did live there with his grandsons, since living in Loth-lorien was not fun without Galadriel. But the future of any of these elves is uncertain, although Celeborn must have taken the ship west sooner or later.

Why would you assume that, Elrond and Elros were twins and they made different choices.
Anyway I always thought that they decided to be elves and eventually passed over the sea.

Celeborn stayed in Rivendell or Imladris with the Sons of Elrond but before long set sail into the West.
