The Haradrim

Are the Haradrim decendants of the Edian (three houses) who became disenchanted and left Estolad to go further south? I mean, I know who the Easterlings in the Third Age decended from, but I thought maybe the Haradrim were a mix between the disenchanted Edian and some of the other ancient races of men(i.e. Dunlendings). Am I correct?

I haven´t read all of it but it seems a good overview of the History of Rhun and Harad.
