Dwarves also used two handed mattocks.

probobly any type of heavier weapon, like an axe or a lance. its kinda hard for me to imagine a dwarf with a sword, unless he was taller, or a dwarf archer

its hard for me to imagine a dwarf with a bow, a crossbow i could see, but not like a long bow or a war bow and what is a mattock, like what does it look like

In the Hobbit it mentions Dwarves ussing short broadswords. I imagine that a Dwarven sword would be like a Roman Gladius, a 22" blade designed to be thrust into the chest piercing the spinal cord

The Hobbit does talk about Dwarves using regular bows. Plus, would they have set mechanical traps?

Dain's army is described in The Hobbit as carrying mattocks which are mining tools similar to picks, possibly modified to serve as weapons.

A warhammer sounds awfully unwieldly, though I can see short-swords and mattocks being used.

I suppose that if you knew how to use a warhammer it would be effective. Don't forget that Dwarves are stronger than Elves or Humans so they would be better able to control some weapons that we might think are unwieldy.

I agree, though Orcrist was an elven blade and was probably longer than 22",

in some cases the dwarves might have used watever was handy like when Thorin used an oak branch as a sheild in the final battle of the war against orcs, earning the name "Oakensheild"

Keeping in mind that a Dwarf made Aragorn's sword.
