I was wondering... has anybody here listened to the audio dramatization of LOTR by The Mind's Eye? It was how I was first introduced to Tolkien's Middle Earth and I thought it was quite good, so I just wanted to know.

I didn't know that they had done an audio dramatization for it yet. Then again, I guess they would have had to, wouldn't they? I should very much like to find one, though. Where did you find yours?

Actually, my parents got The Hobbit when I was about 6 and they got LOTR later. Since that was a LONNNNNNNNNNNNG time ago, I don't remember. Check some of the big bookstores like Barnes and Noble though. They might have it. However, I'm not even sure if they make it anymore.

I can't believe it! You are all LOTR freaks and should know about these things. Please tell me that I'm not the only person in the world who has heard this... smilies/frown.gif
(sorry if I sound a little upset.)

It's all right. I'm one of those people that find most audio draumatizations rather cheesy and stupid. If I could find a well done LotR one though, I would be rather pleased.

This one seems very well done in my opinion, and I really wish more BDers knew about it... smilies/frown.gif

The BBC radio broadcast, in my opinion, left something to be desired. I have never heard the audio cassette, but I have seen it at my local Barnes and Noble.

Actually, the one I'm talking about is the Mind's Eye version... if you don't know about it, it has Bernard Mayes as Gandalf, Tom Luce as Aragorn, James Arrington as Frodo, it's narrated by Gail Chugg (who is also Gollum), and there's more if you want to know.

I'll make sure and look for it next time I'm at Barnes & Nobles.
