I read somewhere that PJ was wanting
people to think that Sauron's Mace
was Morgoth's Mace of the Underworld.
I don't know if that was true or not.
I was under the impresion that the
Mace of the Underworld was lost when
Morgoth was defeated. Please enlighten
my puny little brain. Thanks.

Do you have any info about where or who made it? I have been unable to locate anything yet, but will continue to look. Don't give up.

Hey Marroc,
I'm not sure if PJ could give Sauron Morgoths 'mace' as in the Silm. it states: Then Morgoth hurled aloft Grond, the Hammer of the Underworld, and swung it down like a bolt of thunder
Unless 'Hammer of the Underworld' is only a descriptive term, Saurons mace is probably a different weapon to Morgoths Grond, cant be sure though...Ted Nasmiths interpretation of Grond (http://www.tolkienion.com/images/nasmith/morgoth.jpg)
