Hi all. I know someone asked about why everyone chose the avatar they did, but I don't know if this has been asked. Why did you choose the quote you did and where did it come from? Or did you make yours up yourself?

My quote is from Stevenson's 'Kidnapped'. I thought it was one of the best lines I'd ever heard from a book.

Strange that you mention "Kidnapped". I have just been looking for a new avatar of Castle Stalker, which is on the same Loch that Kidnapped is set on!

my quote is from Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy. If you want to know what it means, I'll find the link, but I am to tired to type it all out again! smilies/biggrin.gif

A combination Marvin/Ford (or Arthur?) being restored to Probability/you. Hehe...I loved Douglas Adams.

Mine is obviously Arthur C. Clarke, and obviously my stance of "organized religion is a sham." C'mon, do you really need to listen to someone else's opinion of the universe???

*Muffled thumps*

Okay, okay, I'll shut up.

Well my signature is part of a song called "United States of Whatever." Good song, I recomend it. It's funny! And the last part is just something I saw on a Math paper I got. It sounded interesting so I put it on, lol.

It is, indeed, a good song. smilies/biggrin.gif

My "quote" is just something I made up on the spur of the moment when I was registering. There was just this big empty space that said "Signature", so I just typed it up (same with my display name, which I can't seem to change now). I guess it goes well with me, because I'm known in other parts of the World Wide Web as "Spooky Rynoah".

Good 'old CS Lewis. From the Great Divorce, this quote is not as well-known as the one from Mere Christianity, comparing falling in love to contracting measles. smilies/wink.gif Which I like as well; but there I go again, trying to be original.

-'Vana

Edited to fix a comma splice (ha! I know what that is! smilies/smile.gif )

PS: Repeat thread, but the Search option isn't working for me right now to post a link.

Nothing horrid. I'm an X-Files fan; "Spooky" is Mulder's nickname, so there ya go. smilies/biggrin.gif
