I don't know if this is a movie topic or not, so move at will to correct place:
In Rivendell, in the room where Frodo was sleeping, there was a statue of a woman at the head of his bed. Is it said anywhere who she was?
Was she a person of significance or just a decoration?

Not the best image, but here's the statue being referred to:

She would probably be just a random elf, because they didn't say anything about the statue.

Possibly Melian, or Luthien, or Elwing, Elrond's mother? Maybe even Elbereth? (Just thoughts)

Thanks for the picture, Phrim, that's actually a really clear shot of that... interesting... headboard.
Looks a lot like Galadriel. She was pretty close to the Rivendell community, and a figure of great importance and significance to the Elves. By that time there weren't many elves around who had been to Valinor.
Nice foreshadowing of Galadriel looking after Frodo later, especially in the pose of her arms. Great work by the set designers!

Kind of creepy looking. You could have nightmares about something like that.

Galadriel! Ugh, it would be pretty uncomfortable if Aragorn and Arwen honeymooned in Rivendell.
Aragorn: I'm sorry, but that headboard with your grandmother on it is just completely *spoiling* the mood here.
Arwen: Oh, you silly humans!
