****sorry if this is the wrong place to put this! I didn't know in what place it would fit best****
Do any of you ever get certain quotes or lines stuck in your head that keep repeating over and over again from either the books or the movie?
During band camp, the line "the whether to's and the why fore's" from when Bilbo's talking about the trolls kept repeating.
And when I was camping this past week, the line "By the blood of our people are your lands kept safe" was in my head. (Boromir) But then it somehow turned into "By the blood of our lands are your people kept safe" smilies/rolleyes.gif
I've had many other times for this, just can't remember them....
What are some of the lines that get stuck in your head?

"This foe is beyond any of you" and "Nazgűl. The Nine are abroad" always sent shivers down my spine, and are always in the background.

I always get this quotes stuck in my head:
If by my life or death, if I can protect you, I will.
I'm not sure if that is just a movie quote, or a book quote too. But that quote is ALWAYS stuck in my head. And then again there's always the movie quote,
Sam:I made a promise, Mr Frodo. A promise: "Don't you leave him Samwise Gamgee." And I don't mean to. I don't mean to.
And:
Frodo:Mordor. I hope the others find a safer road.
Sam:Strider will look after them.
Frodo:I don't suppose we'll ever see them again.
Sam:We may yet, Mr Frodo. We may.
Frodo:Sam...I'm glad you're with me.
Of course, I always get "My PRECIOUS!" in my head too. But for some reason I fellI am not the only one around here. smilies/wink.gif
I know that's alot of quotes, but for some reason I repeat them in my head over and over at school. smilies/biggrin.gif

I always get 'catchy' lines stuck in my head and I chant them stupidly over and over.
First time I read LOTR, I was chanting till exhaustion: One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them ... and in the darkness bind them.
Now, as I'm re-re-reading TTT I found myself chanting :
Seven stars and seven stones
and one white tree
Kinda reminds one of a nursery rhyme, doesn't it?

Currently and for some time it has been "Not all who wander are lost." Reason: Perhaps I think it pertains to myself. My family is always looking at me from the standpoint of "What are you doing with your life?!"
Darn it, I'm living, working, learning, seeking peace of mind. Just because I don't do it with ferocity doesn't mean I'm not going anywhere.
Sometimes I wonder why people worry so much!
(It doesn't help that I've had a near-death experience and that I thought I saw the other side and felt the good stuff to come.)
I can never relate to people that there is peace, there is joy, and that just being a good person will get you where you want to go in the end!
(Oh, would you believe it, the place I saw could only be described as Tir Na nOg...)
That doesn't help at all with the Jehovah's witnesses or my Born-again sister in law....

Almost everything gets stuck in my head for some time. It's really quite annoying. I'll go for a couple of days with one thing stuck in my head, then it will suddenly change to something else. smilies/tongue.gif

Every time I see my choir teacher, I think hobbit. She really does look like a hobbit, too. She has long, dark, curly hair, and she even has the ears, though not as pointy.

Quotes are always going through my head. I don't think I've really gone a day, since I first became interested in LOTR, that I havn't thought of qoute.
I pretty much just hear the whole movie in my head everyday. Mainly the movie qoutes get stuck because its usually the way the actor said it that makes it stand out in my mind.
Lately I've had:
"The road is long, yes, it is time" in my head. Also:
"Get off the road, quick!"
But they tend to change.

One that was in my head for a while was near the end when Sam was trying to convince frodo to try and journey back out of mordor, and Frodo says at some point:
"But its like things are in the world. Hopes fail. An end comes. We have only a little time to wait now. We are lost in ruin and downfall, and there is no escape."
Wow,

Gandalf's whole thing about "Good Morning" made a permanent thought dent in my head:
Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not; or that you feel good this motning; or that it is a morning to be good on?

Sometimes when me and my friends talk I'll lines that relate to our topic will start poping up in my head. Most often I can keep them to myself but sometimes I'll slip and say them outloud. For example:
My Friend: I wish we didn't have school today.
Me: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. smilies/biggrin.gif

Yeah, but they skip all over the place, and I can quote things from just about anywhere in the movie smilies/rolleyes.gif and in a few places in the book. Actually I was thinking when I read the thread name of today in my ASL class (American Sign Language, don't ask) and we learned that 15 was waggling your fingers like Morpheus does in the Matrix... smilies/rolleyes.gif So when ASL teacher 'asks' us to sign 15 I quoted "Don't think you are, know you are" I'll just shut up now.

i know u sed dont ask, but u hav a sign language class? cool! hows american SL different from regular SL?
One line and the image that comes with it keeps returning to me. Near the start where Frodo(ELijah Wood) has had the long ring conversation.
He looks at Gandalph.
He stares at the ring.
Slowly closes his hand.
"What must I do?" The way he said that with his voice slightly hoarse and just above a sad whisper keeps comin back. I luv just that little bit and strange as it may seem, its one of my fave bits in the entire film.

Lately, ALWAYS when I encounter a problem in my daily life, I find myself saying to myself: "What new devilry is this? ", like Gandalf in the movie... smilies/wink.gif

Well, I don't often get any particular lines stuck in my head, when I get lines stuck in my head it's always different ones.
But once I woke up in the middle of the night with Saruman's line from the film...
Moria... you fear to go into those mines. The Dwarves delved to greedily and too deep. You know what they awoke in the drakness of Khazad-dum... Shadow, and flame
in my head. And in the darkness I could almost see the page of the book he was holding when he said that line - with the fire and the eyes. And I can etll you, it freaked me out quite a bit smilies/tongue.gif

I don´t have words constantly reaping themselves in my head... that´s just songs. (and the "the road goes ever on and on" thing- but that´s sort of a song) But what I DO have, is suddenly i REALLY feel like saying some cool quote, u know, I was under the shower and suddenly I go
"Neither have those who with thee. They only go because they do not wish to be parted fom thee. Because they love thee."(eowyn). I have that pretty often, suddenly saying stuff when there´s no point of saying it. Yesterday, we were on the bus, and my friend goes "Did we have math homework?" and I was like "I pass the test" (galdriel quote) my friend totally screwed up ("A math test? What? When? NOOO!") untill I told her that was a LotR qoute, and I hadn´t even been listening to her. smilies/biggrin.gif Stuff like that happens REALLY often to me... mostly it´s funny, but sometimes it get´s embarasing. smilies/rolleyes.gif

This is going to sound freaky, I haven't even gotten over it, but I think its worth posting.
At 4:40 this morning, I woke up to the sound of My own voice saying;
"A lament for Gandalf. What did they say about him? I have not the heart to tell you, for Me the greif is still to near"
DOSE ANYONE OUT THERE THINK I NEED THERAPY?!?!?!?!

Therapy is not needed. It's a good sign to be quoting LotR in your sleep. smilies/wink.gif

OK, Quoteing LotR in your sleep is good....But the reason I was saying that was because I WAS LEGOLAS in My dearm!
Still think I need not of therapy?
