Does anyone have a good picture of the cloak clasp that Galadriel gave to the Fellowship. I am trying to make some for our costumes.

I have an idea how to make them, but can't find the supplies.

Does anyone remember that stuff that used to be around for suncatchers? It would be the colored beads that looked like sugar, then you would place it into the mold for the suncatcher and then bake it.

This is what I was planning to use for the clasp, but I can't find it anymore, nor do I know what it was called. Thanks in advance for any help.

Actually, 2 7th Age Elves, 2 hobbits and 1 Dwarf - and my mom, who is going as herself.

I want it to be authenic for my cousins. They really want to be the actual characters from the movie, but there was an arguement as to who got to be Frodo. smilies/smile.gif

Yes, Joy go to

and click on the LOTR section.
I was originally going to make a brooch using shrinky-dink sheets, outlining an enlarged pic of the brooch, coloring it in with a green pencil, shrinking it to size, then paint in silver lines for the veining.

But once I saw the brooch in this collection, I bought it!!!!! Haven't received it yet, but just got the confirmation of shipping by email. Will look great on the elven cape I'm making!!

Thank you so much Piosenniel! Only problem is - too expensive!!!! smilies/eek.gif I'm saving the picture. I will have someone shape it, then I will try to find that stuff that you could make suncatcher with. I think that I could pull it off - 5 of them - for under 15 dollars.

Now, Arwen's pendant - It's Beautiful.

a facsimile of Arwen's pendant shouldn't be too difficult using those 'gems'from the craft store, perhaps on a thin cardboard form covered with shiny silver foil.

I think shrinky dinks is a GREAT idea! that would be easiest and cheapest! It's available at craft and rubber-stamping stores.

One of the reasons I like to use shrinkydink sheets is that when you color them with pencil, the color becomes incredibly rich when the shape is baked.

I haven't started it yet. Just found the crystals that I need. They are called "Bake-A-Craft Crystals". I am having my local craft store order them for me.

Oh, by the way. I have finally found the right material for the Dwarf costume!!!

Go to your local Home Depot - look for window screening. They have a bright silver fiberglass "insect screening". This is very soft and easy to work with. You can get 18'x 36' for around $6.00.
