There are some who only fight if in extreme wrath(ex. Treebeard)Who is the last person you would want to anger in all of tolkiens works?
I definitely wouldn't want to anger any one with magical powers; like Gandalf, Sauron, Saruman... Hmm, I probably wouldn't want to anger Ulmo, especially if I was on a ship or lived near the coast. smilies/tongue.gif

I agree that it would be a bad thing to anger the Wizards, but I think Aragorn would be a bad one to mess with on a human level!

Have you read The Silmarillion or Unfinished Tales yet? If not, read them. Then you'll know....

It was actually the Valar that did that. They just asked Eru's permission, first.

Well obviously most people dont want to anger the gods.
I would say like Beren if you were "messing with his girl". He'd fly off the handle pretty quick I'd say.
Another one is Fingolfin obviously, he did strike at Melkor in the pits of his despair and rage.

A lot of people in fact. The obvious: Sauron, Gandalf, Saruman, Treebeard, Smaug, The Witch King, Beorn, and any of the dwarves in The Hobbit. The obvious but underestimated: Aragorn, Boromir, and yes, even Sam. The not so obvious: Tom Bombadil, any of the other three hobbits, Gollum. If you'd like me to explain on any of these, tell me.

Hmm..sure i wouldn't want to anger the Gods and the High Elves...but have you thought of ever angering Legolas Greenleaf?

Ooohh... he might get so annoyed he´d start throwing shampoo bottles at me... smilies/evil.gif
Sorry. Couldn´t resist. Well, I woudn´t want to mess with Eowyn or Eomer, to be honest.
And I expect Arwen to get rather harsh at certain people... her daddy("No, you may NOT date Aragorn"), Glorfindel("What do you want with that human loser, babe?I can make you so much happier...") etc, etc.... smilies/tongue.gif smilies/wink.gif

Ah, let's see......
Feanor- remember what he did to the(don't stone me if I'm wrong) Teleri.
Sam- he gave Shelob a good whoopin'.
Morgoth- who would want to anger the ultimate evil?
Treebeard(or any Ent, for that)- Sauruman should know.
Sauron- I wouldn't want to deal with a wearer of a ring of power.
I can't think of any others that aren't over done.

Balrogs, no doubt for myself. Just hink of facing all the balrogs when the best fighters cannot kill them without killing themselves!

I'd never dare to face Gollum. I do want to keep ALL my fingers whole - if only to wear half the contents of my jewellery box at once. smilies/tongue.gif
In earnest, beware of Ents (or people like them) They are slow to rouse, but then they'll be so very meticulous to make your whole life hell. smilies/mad.gif
