I saw many signatures since I am posting in this forum. Some were kilometrical, other were very very short. I consider that in a signature you have to write something that represants you...

signature - a distinctive mark, characteristic, or thing that identifies somebody

Now, I've got a question for you. Does your signature represent you and your personality?

I think I have the perfect signature for me.

Mine does !

kilometrical? That's one I haven't heard before.
Hm. Well, I change my signature periodically--actually, when the mood strikes. It's always a Bible verse, though, and yes, it's a large part of me--sharing a bit of my faith. smilies/smile.gif

Sam, who had been watching his master with great concern, shook his head and muttered: "Plain as pikestaff it is, but it's no good Sam Gamgee putting in his spoke just now. "

Mine absolutely does. I've always thought that I resembled my sig fairy (I'm definitely not as pretty smilies/frown.gif).

My signature is pretty self-explanatory. More things might be added in time, but I will try to stay away from religion--my feelings are the exact opposite of samwise on the matter of sharing religion.. (its good that we have both ends of the spectrum represented. smilies/wink.gif ) But, once again deling with signatures, my name represents me fairly well, so yes, my signature is somewhat representative of me.

But YOU made up Happy Noodle Boy, so it DOES represent you.

Anyway, sorry to get off topic. My sig represents me fully. The fairy at the bottom is like me in a strange way, although I don't have black hair, the poem is from one of my best friends before she had to go away to high school, and the quote... well, let's just say, I consider it the quote of the century. It's perfect.

I like to make pretty songs so I used one as a sig, although some of the time my sigs are crazy and hyper, just like me!

My Signature goes with my personal title, and yes, they are a representation of My Faith and therefore, of myself.

Sword of the Spirit (for those who are wondering) comes from Eph 6:17. The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God.

I think mine represents me pretty well. It's short, sarcastic, and pointing out the obvious. smilies/smile.gif

Well, my four sigs have either been from my own writings, little quotes I happened to like, or the Charge of my Goddess, so I'd say it represents me pretty well. Soon enough, I'll get bored with my Charge and change it to something extremely sarcastic (and possibly offensive, but that's alright, some people love me anyways . . . .) ^~

Edit: Said I'd get bored of it, did, am back to story quotes now! ^^

I feel my signature and picture both represent me rather well. Communism, Darwinism, food, pysical combat, that's what am.(But I am not a Communist! However, Darwinism seems a bit {just a bit} more resonable. The big guy prevails...)

Mine definitely represents my sentiments on life. I've always been a bit resentful of the proud world. I know that the world can't give me joy, nor can it take my joy away. My happiness stems from the one true source. Need I say more?

My signature... I picked most of the stuff because I like it. The quote about Dwarves was from my agenda, and I just thought it was funny. The teachers quote is my attempt at humour. And I am "Your Friendly Neighborhood Wandering Star" smilies/smile.gif. I used to have a signature that was very me - "There are no happy endings. Because nothing ends." - The Last Unicorn. That's very me smilies/smile.gif

Hmmm, yeah I would say that mine describes me. The first bit is from my fave song. I have this sort of melancholy, contemplative side, so the words suit me. The second bit I made up. I tend to show only certain sides of myself to most people.

Mine's just the caption to the pic of Agent Elrond, a funny quote, and the ring of fire that appears in Frodo's dreams while he's in Mordor. Just cause its a cool pic.

I like my sig, but I've been looking in all my favorite books to find the right quote...still looking.

*gasp* This cannot be.......Johnny? Can it? Johnny C? Nny? Nah...Johnny doesn't like people enough to visit a message board.

Um, more on-topic here, I think that mine does. I just now changed it, because I'd like to spend the space better. lol, In other words, no more desperate cry for real quotes, although they are welcomed. ~_^

I usually put an interesting quote from someone we all know, or should know, and then something obscure. Like the Princess Bride. Or Nny. Or Vonnegut. Something that might catch a few people's eyes and make them respond, because they caught the inside joke. So, in a way, it does represent me fairly well. ~_^ Feel free to flame, er, email me with any opinions. smilies/biggrin.gif

back to the subject of signatures...mine is just random. Well, actually it talks about Frodo, and he is undoubtedly my favorute character, so I guess it does represent me! FRODO LIVES AND RAWKS ON!!!!! smilies/biggrin.gif

Yes, I do realize that my sig is actually quite long, but it was longer. Surprisingly enough...

My sig represents who I am by showing the people who read my posts the quotes that I often use to represent myself. (If you were wondering, that is smilies/wink.gif)
Many come from famous people (or I changed them slightly... smilies/evil.gif ) but some (if any) are my own. I have lots more but I was told to shorten it, so this is my official signature!

Yes, I think my sig represents me.
1. I love fairies.
2. The quote by Mother Teresa explains how I feel.
3. Though my life isn't a daring adventure yet, I sure wish it was one.

Yes--and, apparently, someone here doesn't like my signature, as my post earlier this morning vanished. Well, you know, too freaking bad. If people can post religious and political views, I don't see why I shouldn't.

My signature reflects my view that there is too much killing in the name of God and Country. It reflects the views of a man who believed that Gandhi and Martin Luther King's philosophy (i.e., non-violent civil disobedience) was the correct way to protest man's inhumanity to man.

If I am going to be censored for this, I would suggest that the powers that be review their policy regarding political/religious propaganda being promulgated on this BBS. Otherwise, this censorship can only lead one to conclude that there is a certain bias here, and that some have 'priviledges' where others don't.

** BEGIN OFF TOPIC **

To Gelenthor....

I deleted you comment because it was simply a statement and the connection with your signature was not stated or apparent. It was deleted because it appeared off-topic, though it may not have intended to. If you signature was the problem, you would have been notified.

Your second post, disregarding the rude commentary, was more on-topic and explanatory and will not be deleted or edited.

With that said, I and the appointed moderators can delete anything we want to. We do it as fairly as possible, but the Downs is not a democracy or a utopia of social equality. And if you don't like that that, 'too freaking bad'.

Do not reply HERE to this post.

my signiture isn't sposed to represent anything in particular- oh, yes it is. the first part is my status. the second part is a piece i made up at some point. occasionally i spurt out these short but meaningful lines, so i stuck one in my sig smilies/biggrin.gif
