Got a ?, just noticed that Tolkien translated Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Is this the same that is in most Brit Lit books. This and Beowulf were the 2 most infulental peices of British Lit for me. The captured my heart with a love of the times and the language.

I assume it's the same story/poem that was in Norton's Anthology, for example (although not the Tolkien version). I'd like to read Tolkien's translation, it's available amazon, e.g.) I just found out. I always liked these two stories also. smilies/smile.gif

BTW, we used Norton's Anthology. My other favs were Morte D' Arthur, anything by John Donne, and Dr Fasutus. Those were the best grades in Essays that I have ever gotten. All above 95.

If I were in class now, I would love to do a paper on Boorimir: Hero or Traitor. Also, the character of Aragorn and other Warrior Kings.
