sauceman? hello?
Much as it may surprise you, Gil, I do not lurk on-line every hour of the day. smilies/rolleyes.gif smilies/wink.gif
Actually, the other thread is for questions on the people of Numenor, whereas this looks to be a trivia game about Numenor generally. Although this one will inevitably involve questions about the people of Numenor, there is nevertheless a difference. Since it is not a duplicate, therefore, I will leave this thread open.
So, nobody's question stands (if you take my meaning smilies/wink.gif ).

Yes. You can ask questions about Númenórean women here and questions about Númenórë itself here, like its geography, the places in it and other names for it etc.

I think that this thread can afford to be a little flexible, so let's go ahead with this question.
Please try to keep the questions more directly related to Númenor in the future, though.

What was Elros's high-elven name?
Miriel
03-13-2004, 11:53 AM
Hope you feel better soon...
And, his king-name was Tar-Minyatur. Or maybe you're looking for Elerossë, his name in Quenya?
Gil-Galad
03-13-2004, 11:53 AM
Tar-Minatar(sp?) is his numernorean name... isn't elros his high-elven name though?
Iaurhirwen

Ok, here we go.
What does Akallabeth mean? And what is its translation into Quenya?
Son of Númenor
05-07-2004, 08:01 PM
The Downfallen.
Númenor and Númenórë.
Iaurhirwen
05-07-2004, 08:37 PM
You have the English translation correct.
I had messed up in the wording of my second part of the question, you will notice that now I only want the Quenya translation, which you had answered incorrectly, try again.
Son of Númenor
05-07-2004, 08:53 PM
That's embarassing, what with my name and all.
Atalantë.
