How about a riddles thread?

I'll start with a simple one:

An elven king was I, of the house of Feanor, a ring bearer too, I went to Mordor, bearing Aiglos, yet never came back. Who am I?

a ring bearer too: ohh, then it can only be Celebrimbor
I went to Mordor: Well I assume Celebrimbor did - After Sauron had used his dead body on a pole a his banner
bearing Aiglos: hmmmmmmmmmm..... That would be Gil-Galad from the house of Fingolfin or Finarfin depending on how you interpret HoME
yet never came back: That goes for the both of them!

I see my mistake. When I said &quot;of the house of Feanor&quot;, I was thinking of the Noldor, when Feanor was high king of the Noldor. Anyway, you are right, the answer is Gil-Galad.

Feanor seems to fit.
He stole the ships of the teleri, he hated Morgoth for stealing the silmarils.
He was a father and husband, but his mother was dead.
He was responsible for the kinslaying, he was slain by balrogs.
He wasn't buried because his body turned to ash.
