So, can people name me some female villians of middle earth. Please include some background information on her, so I can know who is being talked about. Thanks.

Lobelia Sackville Baggins: mother of Lotho, who let Saruman and his ruffians into the Shire. LObelia was in love with Bag End and was very angry that Bilbo came back from the Quest of Erebor to claim his home. But, she ends up nice in the end.... smilies/smile.gif

Ungoliant - a giant spider, who spinned a total darkness around herself. She was the foremother (sp?) the Shelob (an other giant spider, the one who nearly killed Frodo in TTT, because Gollum betrayed them). Ungoliant was dangerous to even Morgoth, and a Balrog had to help him out of trouble. After that, she went into a cave in Ephel Duath. (I think; anyway, the ones in Beleriand (Silmarillion)) Better stop talking now; you probably got my point... smilies/rolleyes.gif

Arwen: She got Aragorn
Rose: she got Sam
Galadriel: Is more perty then me!
O.K. these are silly, but I couldn't think of any real ones!

Thuringwethil, how about your namesake? Evil messenger of Morgoth, not to mention a vampire, gets killed, (I think), and my namesake, Luthien, dresses up as her to fool Morgoth. smilies/biggrin.gif

Shelob, the giant female spider (Shelob=She-spider). Frodo and Sam were tricked by Gollum/Sméagol to go into her lair, which was in Cirth Ungol which was upon the western mountain-fence of Mordor, and she poisned Frodo, but was killed by Sam. Frodo was soon taken by Sauron's Orcs.
She was also a direct decendant of Ungoliant.

Extra Info:
The earliest definite date we have for Shelob is c.1000 (Second Age), because we know that she occupied Cirith Ungol 'before the first stone of Barad-dûr' which was laid at about that time (from The Two Towers IV 9 Shelob's Lair). We also know, from the same source, that she originally came there 'flying from ruin' - this is indefinite, but ties in neatly with the War of Wrath a thousand years earlier. The suggestion here is that she originally occupied Beleriand, probably in the Ered Gorgoroth, and fled southwards to escape its destruction.
