I am Sindar
I am not Noldor

How about Primula Baggins (nee Brandybuck), mother of Frodo?
Gwaihir the Windlord
07-24-2003, 01:59 AM
Technically the heirs of Hador were Lords (of Dor-Lomin) rather than kings.
So perhaps you are Finrod? He took the High Kingship of the Eldar in Beleriand after Fingolfin's death; and young Erenion, later known as Gil-Galad, he sent to the Havens in this time (just after the Battle of Sudden Flame, while 'troubles' were occuring) for his protection.
I think you're in the wrong thread....
Lyra Greenleaf
07-24-2003, 01:00 PM

Oops! I failed to spot that particular clue. smilies/rolleyes.gif
Since Lyra is on holiday, she has asked me to look after this question on her behalf (which of course means I can no longer guess smilies/frown.gif ).
So you are looking for a Hobbit mother who had more than one child. And it's not Rosie Cotton, Malva Headstrong or (obviously smilies/rolleyes.gif ) Primula Baggins ... or indeed Eglantine Banks.
Someone had better get it this week, as I'm off on holday myself next weekend. smilies/tongue.gif

I should add that, on the family trees in the Appendices to LotR, I can see only one child of this Hobbit mother, although I believe that Lyra had two offspring in mind.

Evisse the Blue
09-04-2003, 03:14 PM
The credit should really go to The Saucepan Man, as he made the actual guess. Not too many famous enigmas in LOTR smilies/wink.gif
But - I'll bite.
I am the last of my kind.
Go on now, give it a wave smilies/wink.gif
The Saucepan Man
09-04-2003, 04:43 PM

Beren87
09-06-2003, 08:35 PM
The general opinion is that you died, starved to death because of the wounds inflicted by Sam.
I kept food and people.
Horse-Maiden of the Shire

The Saucepan Man
09-10-2003, 07:08 PM

I am indeed Sador. Well done, Eruanna. Pray continue.
Eruanna
09-11-2003, 03:29 PM

Feanor! He became King when Finwe died!
Lyta_Underhill
09-15-2003, 09:10 AM
Or it could be Fingon, son of Fingolfin, who became High King of the Noldor when Fingolfin died in single combat with Morgoth...

Since it's getting rather long, the time has come to close this thread.
Please open a new thread if you wish to continue the game - and don't forget to include the game rules, the current question and all clues given so far.
Thanks. smilies/smile.gif
