Somebody names a place, you name the event that happened there ok? i'll start. P.S. i'm new to this, so it's kinda easy

Minas tirith

The Saucepan Man
04-26-2003, 08:08 PM
Weeeell, rather a lot happened in that particular place ...

But I will plump for either the seige during the War of the Ring or the self-immolation of Denethor.

Durelin
04-26-2003, 08:14 PM
Maybe you should give clues and then have someone try to figure out what event in Tolkien's works you're talking about. Maybe a quote or characters involved or the goal of the end result or what led to it, etc, etc. I don't know, that may be a bit hard, but we all need work for our brains! Right? Well...maybe not...well, we know Saucepan Man will take a crack at it no matter what. Right Saucepan Man? smilies/biggrin.gif

The Saucepan Man

...well, we know Saucepan Man will take a crack at it no matter what. Right Saucepan Man?

Too right, Durelin. Can't keep a good Saucepan Man down! smilies/biggrin.gif

I concur with your suggestions, however.

and thank you for the helpers Durelin.

Was it when Theoden was killed by the lord of the Nazgul? Or was it when Eowyn and Merry Destroyed the lord of the Nazgul

One Axe to Rule them All
04-27-2003, 12:22 PM
Phervasaion is right with when eowyn and merry kill the lord of the nazgul!

How about

Minas Tirith, after the ring is returned

Beren87
04-27-2003, 08:39 PM
Returned? When was the ring ever returned to Minas Tirith? Last time I checked, M.T. didn't exactly own the ring and there was this little escapade about not bringing there that involved the death of some steward guy.

One Axe to Rule them All
04-28-2003, 09:30 AM
i'm sorry, i didn't mean returned, i meant destroyed

symestreem
02-21-2004, 11:21 AM
Nothing much actually happened at the Paths of the Dead except the dead people *resists bad pun* started following the Grey Company. It was at the Stone of Erech that they actually swore to fulfill their oath.

luthien-elvenprincess

Nirvana II
02-29-2004, 08:47 PM
Vanyar- the Fair elves, none went back to ME Noldor-followed Feanor back to ME Teleri-some stayed, some went Sindar-the grey elves, they all stayed in ME,so are considered Avari

Obscure, obscure, obscure.....
Following the Downfall of Numenor, the Exiles in Middle Earth realised that Sauron had also escaped by seeing the smoke rising from Mount Doom? (Clumsily worded, but you can hopefully guess what I mean. ;))
Or, simply, Sauron fled there to rebuild his power? (Though I s'pose that's all of Mordor.....hmmm.....)

Nirvana II
03-10-2004, 09:51 AM
no!more obscure people! your to down to earth!

03-10-2004, 03:02 PM

Sleepy Ranger

Obscure? You want obscure? Well, here you go.
Gollum became hero of ME by destroying the One Ring.
Is that obscure enough?

03-12-2004, 12:11 AM
Can't get more down to earth than that. ;)

Firefoot
03-12-2004, 06:05 AM
Can you atleast tell us what you mean by obscure? Or tell us who is close?

luthien-elvenprincess
03-12-2004, 07:10 AM
Gollum's very last wail of Precious was heard there.

Nirvana II

Gil-Galad

The Perky Ent

Frodo became the Lord of the Rings....even if for a short period of time?

luthien-elvenprincess

There burned the only fire in ME hot enough to destroy the Ring.

Firefoot
03-13-2004, 10:24 AM

This is ridiculously hard... who did Frodo interact with in this event?

Kath
