I have to come up with creatures now? Scary thought...

Huan
Thorondor
Bill the Pony
Tevildo

Bombadil
04-16-2004, 04:55 PM
Tevildo, The Only Servant Of The Dark Lord?

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 04:59 PM
Hehe, you fell for the obvious. :D That's not the one I had in mind.

Bombadil
04-16-2004, 05:05 PM
here's another obvious one, thorondor only one without four legs, not to mention with wings. ;)

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 05:09 PM
Wrong again.

Mad Baggins
04-16-2004, 05:29 PM
Bill was the only one to come in contact with any members of the Fellowship?

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 05:31 PM
Negative.

Gwaihir could be used instead of Thorondor, if you want to.

Fingolfin II
04-16-2004, 08:48 PM
Thorondor, the only one who doesn't have an "owner"? (I'm aware of Manwe, but he didn't really "own" him like Sam owned Bill and Celegorm owned Huan).

NightKnight
04-16-2004, 08:50 PM
Nope.

Evisse the Blue
04-17-2004, 11:22 AM
Thorondor the only one who did not come into conflict with his master:
Huan betrayed Celegorm to help Luthien;
Bill the Pony kicked his former master
Tevildo betrayed Morgoth

NightKnight
04-18-2004, 04:05 AM
Nope.

Gothmog
04-18-2004, 04:15 AM
This might be too easy, but anyway... They were all "special" creatures except for poor old Bill. Obviously Huan had special powers, a vala´s pet before he followed Celegorm. Tefildo was altered by Morgoth to grow much bigger and dangerous than an ordinary cat and Thorondor was one of the Great Eagle, large enough to carry a man without problems. But Bill, well he´s just a ordinary pony...

NightKnight
04-18-2004, 04:18 AM
Nopes.

Evisse the Blue
04-18-2004, 04:32 AM
Bill the Pony - the only one who could not speak?

NightKnight
04-18-2004, 04:53 AM
You've got it. :)

Evisse the Blue
04-18-2004, 05:07 AM
Ok, try this:

Silent Watchers
Thuringwethil
Winged Creature (Nazgul's steed)
Draugluin

NightKnight
04-18-2004, 05:18 AM
Thuringwethil - the only one that wasn't a servant of Sauron?

Evisse the Blue
04-18-2004, 08:08 AM
True but not what I had in mind.

Finwe
04-18-2004, 02:08 PM
Silent Watchers, because they weren't killed when they were defeated

Evisse the Blue
04-18-2004, 03:24 PM
Not that either.

Bombadil
04-30-2004, 03:44 PM
Let's see, I haven't looked at recent ones in awhile, so i hope this isnt too similar to others...

name OCO:

Shagrat
The Balrog of Moria
The Barrow-wight
Grishnakh
The Great Goblin

NightKnight
04-30-2004, 03:55 PM
The Balrog - The only one that didn't really meet a hobbit?

Bombadil
04-30-2004, 04:37 PM
well i was thinking in terms of imprisonment of hobbits, but that's close enough. You're up!

NightKnight
05-01-2004, 01:23 AM
Ah, yes. I should have thought about that.

Thorondor
The dragons that attacked Gondolin
Huan
The thrush in the Hobbit
Rochallor

Bombadil
05-13-2004, 06:21 PM
with no replies, nor any answers I see fit for myself to post, would it be too much to ask for a clue?

Firefoot
05-13-2004, 07:03 PM
Rochallor was the only one who couldn't talk?

NightKnight
05-14-2004, 05:03 AM
I think Rochallor narrows the entire thing a bit. What was special with him?

And Firefoot, you are wrong.

Mad Baggins
05-14-2004, 03:34 PM
Rochallor was the only one with hooves!

NightKnight
05-15-2004, 04:07 AM
Wrong.

Fingolfin II
05-15-2004, 05:37 AM
Rochallor, the only one owned by a High King of the Noldor?

NightKnight
05-15-2004, 09:47 AM
Try not to think "the only one who was", think "the only one that wasn't".

Fingolfin II
06-11-2004, 07:19 PM
Rochallor- the only one who's fate we're not sure about?

NightKnight
06-12-2004, 05:03 AM
And the thrush? :p Nope, your answer is wrong. :p

Elwe Singollo
06-12-2004, 07:40 AM
The thrush never met an elf?

NightKnight
06-12-2004, 01:00 PM
Wrong.

Nilpaurion Felagund
06-17-2004, 05:35 AM
Rochallor - the only one who didn't contribute to battle directly. Except probably to run away from trouble. :p

NightKnight
06-17-2004, 05:36 AM
Nope.

Nilpaurion Felagund
06-17-2004, 05:39 AM
The dragons that attacked Gondolin are numerous? :D

NightKnight
06-17-2004, 05:41 AM
It's much simpler than that.

Nilpaurion Felagund
06-17-2004, 05:46 AM
The thrush never lived in the First Age! Or Beleriand. Take your pick.

NightKnight
06-17-2004, 05:50 AM
That's about the same level of difficulty, but it's not the right answer. ;)

Nilpaurion Felagund
06-17-2004, 11:55 PM
The thrush never passed through Anfauglith!

NightKnight
06-18-2004, 07:55 AM
No!

BIG clue: Fingolfin.
