By the way Oiolossoė actually means Everwhite. Oio means Ever and lossoė means snow or snow white.

It was actually quite small. The elves reffered to the language of the Valar,"like the glitter of swords", they didnt really like it. smilies/cool.gif
I was under the impression that at least Quenya was made under the influence of the Powers. I guess I don't know why though...

That's right, Nefwathiel Teleri. The effect of Valarin on the development of Quenya was minimal. The Vanyar took some loan-words from the Valar, but otherwise the Elven-languages were all developed by the Elves.
