Name Sam's pony, where he was forced to leave Sam, where they were reunited, and the pony's act of retribution against his former owner.

Sam's pony was Bill, funny that its previous owner was also Bill. They parted at the Gate of Moria and met agian at Bree. Bill kicked Bill?

Re: Another Sam question...

That's right burrahobbit !

The answer was :

Bill, East Gate of Moria, Bree and Bill kicked Bill Ferny (who was never heard of again).

WTG! Your turn to ask the next question in this thread!

Re: Another Sam question...

Since it's just the 4 of us so far, I'll go ahead and answer this one!

Sam saw an Oliphaunt (A Mumak) ridden by the Men of Harad. Oliphaunts were similar to modern elephants but much larger.

Yet another Sam question...

OK ... let's see what I can ask about Sam.... Did any of you take Quiz #2 at the Barrow-Downs? I'd be interested to see what you though of it and how you scored (I have the scores, but I haven't looked at them yet)

Here's the question:

Q: Sam had a way with words. I'll name some clues, you name what he called them:
(1) the bugs in the Midgwater Marshes
(2) roasted rabbits
(3) Gollum's different personalities

Re: Yet another Sam question...

(1)Neekerbreekers. (2)Coneys. (3)Stinker and Slinker for his good and bad personalities, or bad and badder personalities Sam might say. I got a 70% on the quiz without checking my answers in the text.

What's a burrahobbit got to do with my pockets, anyways?</p>

Re: Yet another Sam question...

You got all of those right. and a good job on the quiz, too!

The answer, which burrahobbit got right, is
(1) Neekerbreekers
(2) Coneys
(3) Slinker and Stinker

WTG burrahobbit

Your turn to ask.
Your question doesn't have to be about Sam.

I could hardly think of a Sam question last time, but I came up with two, I'll save the second for another time. What happened to Saruman's spirit, as it were, after he was slain?

Yeah. But first it looked towards the West, wanting to return there, I should think. And in a firm &quot; No&quot; was blown away. One of my favorite parts in the book. Your turn.

Now a Gandalf question ...

It was a sad part of the story. It turned Saruman from an evil character into a tragic character. Until that moment I had felt no sympathy towards him. Not even when he rejected Gandalf out of pride. Good question.

My next question is:

What did the peoples of the far south of Middle-Earth call Gandalf?

Bill Ferny called Strider this. And it wasn't meant as a compliment.

He was a Ruling Steward of Gondor in TA. 2628

I really had to think about this one. I knew that with a name like Hurin he had to be Human. And since we have been asking LotR questions, I figured he had to be from Gondor. So I dug through Appendix A until I found him.
