Ok, These extra pages are very confusing, twice I've tried to answer and found it posted somewhere else....argh, this won't do!
Ok, I'll start another one, this is for qoutes of any hobbits in any of the books. I want the speaker and THE CIRCUMSTANCE please...Here we go...

Could this be Frodo, talking to Gandalf about the death of Thorin? I think they were in Minas Tirith, after the crowning of Aragorn.

Who said it, to whom did they say it, what happened, and extra pionts if you can name a commonly said quote that it corrosponds with in the movie.

I know it is Gandalf to Pippin, I am thinking after the stone in the well or either after the Palantir incident. The line from the movie is "Fool of a Took", which actually appears in the book in the chapter " Bridge of Khazad-dum."

So, does anyone know the speaker of the quote? smilies/smile.gif If you don't I'll tell you what it is.

Okay it's been a while since someone posted on this thread. The speaker is Frodo. He says it to Sam in the book after he jumped in the river after him. The quote from the movie is that whole "I made a promise" bit.
