Okay, so I'm posting another one. Here we go. This one shouldn't be too bad.
Who said this and who did he or she say it to?

Re: Another New One
Hey!
Well, I recently read this section of the book and am pleased to say that it is Tom Bombadil speaking to Frodo and the Hobbits.

Re: Another New One
Alright, I'm sure no one in here (if anyone has even been in here) saw what I posted in the Barrow Downs section, so I'll tell you. Colin is my little brother, and seeing how he is at school right now and won't be back for awhile, I will go ahead and post another quote. He won't mind.

Quote:
In the language of Orthanc help means ruin, and saving means slaying, that is plain. But we do not come here to beg.

Who said this? And where, why, and that sort of thing, if you want.

Ok, here is a crack at this one...
Is it Gandalf speaking to Saruman an Isengard?

Closer still, Ron! But, unfortunately, not close enough. You both are on the right track, though, and I am sure that the next few post will bring us the correct answer!

Re: Another New One
This would be the elves of Lorien laughing at Gimli as he gobbles down a whole cake of lembas thinking it to be cram.

sorry if i'm interfering, but i know for a fact red's right. I just re-read that part today! But it's not my place to say...
It's alright Vilya, there is a 7 day rule here. If someone answers and there is no response within 7 days of the postr, someone else may come in and give proof that that is the correct answer, and post another quote, to revive the thread.
