Gandalf

I guess, since no one else is going, then I'll go!!
Quote~ "Few now remember them, yet still some go wandering, sons of forgotten kings walking in loneliness, guarding from evil things folk that are heedless."
Who said this, and who was that person talking about?

Galadel, the answer to your question is Tom Bombadil speaking of the Dunedain.

Anyways, it was Lothiriel's turn, as she correctly answered the previous question.

Galadel Vinorel
08-17-2002, 03:35 PM
Well, she hasn't asked a question yet, and it has been five days, so I thought that anyone could go. Geez...sorry..... smilies/frown.gif

I once made the same mistake myself, and got told that you should wait a week, and then if the person hasn´t posted any quote, then anyone can post one. So now you know. smilies/smile.gif

Joy
08-17-2002, 04:02 PM
Galadel, no problem, we just have sort of an unspoken "7 day" rule. If the person who answers the question does not reply in 7 days, then someone else may post.

Hey, when I was new, I made these mistakes too. Don't feel bad smilies/smile.gif

"And that is the way of a real tale. Take anyone you're fond of. You may know, or guess, what kind of a tale it is, happy ending or sad ending, but the people in it don't know. And you don't want them too."

Was that said by Frodo?

Galadel Vinorel
08-19-2002, 12:04 PM
Did Bilbo say it?

Aroaraniel
08-19-2002, 12:07 PM
Aha Brinniel got it! It was said by Frodo!

Aroaraniel
08-19-2002, 12:10 PM
Hehe congratulations I guess its been troubling some people on here! LoL!!!

Brinniel
08-19-2002, 01:08 PM
Thank you! I suppose it's my turn, now?

"I stand upon some dreadful brink, and it is utterly dark in the abyss before my feet, but whether there is any light behind me I cannot tell. For I cannot turn yet. I wait for some stroke of doom."

Galadel Vinorel
08-19-2002, 01:22 PM
Faramir said that didn't he?

Morgoth Bauglir
08-19-2002, 02:48 PM
gandalf?

Brinniel
08-19-2002, 03:00 PM
Nope, neither of you are right. Try again!

Galadel Vinorel
08-19-2002, 03:49 PM
Did Eowyn say that?

Lothiriel Silmarien
08-19-2002, 04:26 PM
Aroaraniel, I swear I almost put Frodo!! I was debating with myself, whether Frodo or Sam said it, because I know it had to be one of them, they talked about being in a book before they went into the mountains with Gollum in Mordor. Hm, oh well.

I say Eowyn too, but Galadel put that before me, so I'll say Frodo then.

Brinniel
08-19-2002, 05:46 PM
You're right on, Galadel! Alright, your turn.

Galadel Vinorel
08-19-2002, 10:49 PM
Yeah!! It's my turn!!

So, here's the qoute, who said it?~

"If I hear not allowed much oftener I'm going to get angry."

legolas123
08-20-2002, 10:20 AM
Eowyn?

*shrugs*

Brinniel
08-20-2002, 10:59 AM
Would it be Sam? He's the only one I can think of that would use bad grammar.

Lothiriel Silmarien
08-20-2002, 11:12 AM
NOOOOO, you got it before me smilies/frown.gif Sam said that when the hobbits went back to the Shire after the War of the Ring. And Sharkey's 'people' were there. And they brainwashed the poor Shire hobbits.

Catherine

Since no one is posting I will post a quote, from the movie, "It is not the eastern shore i am worried about, shadow and a threat has been growing in my mind..."
Its easy but if i gave you the rest it would have been even easier. smilies/rolleyes.gif

Lothiriel Silmarien
08-20-2002, 03:30 PM
Catherine, what do you mean? No one has posted in about 3 hours, is that a while?? Um, oh well, but that's by Legolas. Even if I didn't know who that was from, I'd say Legolas anyway because every quote you post is from Legolas!
smilies/redface.gif smilies/biggrin.gif smilies/wink.gif smilies/tongue.gif smilies/cool.gif smilies/confused.gif smilies/eek.gif smilies/smile.gif
Bah ha!

Brinniel
08-20-2002, 03:55 PM
Since I answered Galadel's question, should I go ahead with another quote?

Orome
08-20-2002, 09:03 PM
yes, go

Brinniel
08-21-2002, 12:43 AM
Ok. New quote:

"Were the breath of the West Wind to take a body visible, even so would it appear."

Galadel Vinorel

Did Aragorn say that?

Brinniel
08-21-2002, 02:11 PM
Nope. Keep trying!

Salix
08-22-2002, 09:15 AM
I keep on thinking about Gandalf speaking about Shadowfax, but I'm not sure. Was it Orome talking about his horse?

Galadel Vinorel
08-22-2002, 12:24 PM
Did Theoden say that?

Brinniel
08-22-2002, 01:45 PM
No. Try again!

Telchar
08-23-2002, 07:32 AM
Well Im quite sure (as mentioned above) that the words apply to Shadowfax... very likely for Legolas to say something like that ???

Brinniel
08-23-2002, 07:37 PM
Yes, the words do apply to Shadowfax, but Legolas did not say them. Guess again!

Marileangorifurnimaluim
08-23-2002, 08:25 PM
