On the heels of his Disco victory, Boromir was just beginning to realize how popular he was. He heard rumors of people randomly screaming out, "Do the wave for Boromir the Disco King!"

Now his victory was no small feat. He was up against Gandalf, who learned at the feet of the Balrog. AND he is dead. But really, what does that matter, considering we ARE on the Barrow Downs, and we're ALL dead here. So how fitting is it that our Disco King is dead, too?

Recently, I caught up with Boromir to talk with him about the contest. Here is how it went:

This is what it says under the Novices and Newcomers FAQ:

How do I put in a picture/image/avatar?

In the screen where you can edit your profile, there is a textbox under the words “OR enter your own image URL (support: .gif .jpg .png .swf)". Put the complete internet address of a valid image in the textbox.

Common reasons for a picture not working:


The URL you entered is not correct.

The website that hosts the picture does not support linking to outside sites.

You are attempting to link to a picture on your own hard-drive instead of one that is hosted on the internet at an accessible address.

The image is not one of the supported file types.

What you need to do is find a picture you like on the web somewhere, then right click on the picture, a little box will pop up, click on the bottow where it says Properties. Then another box will pop up, and towards the middle of the screen will be the part that says Address. Simply copy the address and then go to your own profile, and in the space where you are given to add your avatar pic, simply paste it there.

As you can see Aragorn was once popular but now he is second best to this Boromir chap, and it infuriates him. So in effort to dethrone him, Aragorn told Gandalf to enter the contest. Well Gandalf didn't know much of this but thought that Boromir was nice and deep down, Gandalf did not want to be the disco King. So he threw the competition and thus the TAFFDT rules that Gandalf should be disqualified, and the title of "Discoing Istari" should be passed to the next closest thing Saruman.

Could somebody tell me how to ost pictures from a mac computer? The ones at my house are IBM, but these ones at school are macs, and when I sneak on next time, I'd like to be able to post pictures smilies/biggrin.gif

With a Mac, you hold down the mouse button (if it's a single button mouse), or the right button, on the thumbnail image until a menu pops up. You may have to press the shift key and let it up again. Then select "Open IMAGE in new window". Then when it loads, just select the address from the bar and "copy" from the edit menu. Then past it into BD's.
