Welcome to the Round-About Game! In this thread, players try to link two seemingly unrelated topics in a 'round-about' way. Ok, that didn't make sense, did it? Let me explain again....

THE ROUND-ABOUT GAME
I'll start you off. One person (in this case, me) will provide two people, places, objects, or ideas, (at least one of which must be ME related) and you, the viewer, must figure out how they relate to each other. WARNING- this may take some thought. I'm just pulling two random thoughts out of that scary, untamed place called my mind. The topics may be anything from Smeagol to cherry yogurt. Hey, that sounds like an example!

EXAMPLE- (I will say) From Cherry Yogurt to Smeagol
(You will come up with something like) Cherry yogurt is pink. Roses are pink. Rosie Cotton is named after a rose. Rosie married Samwise. Samwise went to Mordor with Frodo, who was guided by SMEAGOL!!

See? You get from point A to point B in a ROUND-ABOUT sort of way! If you like, you may suggest your own round-about topic after you answer a previous one. ALL ENTRIES, TOPICS AND ANSWERS, MUST BE APPROPRIATE! THAT MEANS NO VULGER LANGUAGE CONTENT OR THE SO-CALLED 'POTTY HUMOR'! GOT THAT? Okay then.

I shall try again! I had all the information typed up and posted, but it seems Meela, that all that showed up, was Dol Amroth. Sorry about that. Let me explain.

Finduilas is daughter of Adrahil of Dol Amroth, Lothiriel is daughter of Imrahil, also of Dol Amroth, Lothiriel was wed to Eomer, Eomer is brother of Eowyn, Eowyn was wed to Faramir. As I said eariler, Dol Amroth! Though not six steps, there are other, more abstract ways to conect the two....

Finduilas was ".... as a flower of the seaward vales set upon a barren rock. The shadow in the east filled her with horror, and she turned her eyes ever south to the sea that she missed.", the sea was the subject of the song of Legolas', Legolas was a part of the FOTR, Boromir was also a member of the FOTR, Boromir was brother to Faramir, Faramir was wed to Eowyn. That got you as far as Eowyn, hope that was understandable! PM me if not! (good question by the way)

If you were pretending to be blind, you'd be a liar. Saruman is a liar, though I don't know if he's ever pretended to be blind. Saruman wears a rainbow bathrobe / Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. His rainbow bathrobe / Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat is many colours, probably including that of spaghetti. When you are cooking spaghetti, you generally boil it in water. Water comes from the ocean. Ulmo controls the ocean.

Jell-o is transparent, just like good-quality crystal. A crystal ball can be used to see far places and future events. Palantirs were used to see such places and events. Palantir meant "he who looks afar", and it is what Tar-Palantir named himself after. There were probably gulls in one of the Bays of Numenor (such as the Bay of Eldanna), and gulls were birds just like ducks. An eagle is also a bird and an eagle rescued Gandalf from the Tower of Orthanc. Saruman dwelt in Orthanc and Gríma Wormtongue was a spy of his. Wormtongue was said to be slimy like a worm, which lives in the earth. A worm is an insect, like a slug. A slug leaves a slime trail which is green and sticky.

Pianos are instruments. Technically, they are percussion instruments. Drums are also percussions instruments. Ghan-buri-Ghan's people used drums to communicate. Eomer and Theoden spoke with Ghan-buri-Ghan. Eomer also spoke to Aragorn. Aragorn came to the rescue of Eomer (and everyone else) during the battle at Minas Tirith in ships from Umbar. Umbar means 'doom' in Quenya. If something very big were about to trod upon you, you would be doomed. The name 'Carcharodon Megolodon' has the word 'meglo' in it, implying that whatever it was, it was big. For some reason, I am convinced that the Carcharodon Megolodon was some sort of mastodon (sp?). Mastodons had four legs. Horses also have four legs. The Nazgul rode four-legged horses, stolen from Rohan. Edoras is in Rohan. Theoden lived in Edoras, as did Eomer. Eomer later became King of Rohan. Aragorn was also a King, and he was in the Fellowship. Frodo and Sam were in the Fellowship, and they went throught Cirith Ungol, where they were chased by Shelob. Shelob is a descendant of Ungoliant.
