you could have everyone dress like hobbits and elves? and I know there is a thread floating around somewhere with LoTR party favors and such.. heck, you could reinact LoTR in short, if you wanted to.. Yeah. Have everyone dress as either a species or a specific character, put your invitations in Elvish/English...etc.

Okay, nevermind that.... I agree with all the above suggestions. Maybe decorate the room as Hobbiton or something... there is several things you could do...

Have a Tolkien fest! Everyone has to dress up as one of the fellowship (Arrange this before hand, otherwise you'll have abou 6 Aragorn's or something...) and everyone has to stay in chacter for the whole part (V. amuzing!) Have LotR food as much as possible and fireworks! Alos, whatch LotR, red LotR and anything else you can think of! FUN! smilies/wink.gif

You could ask your guests to come in their bare feet.
to enter the party, they have to cut off some of their hair and glue it to their feet.

I wonder if fake elven ears exist, wouldn't that be nice?
