pocket handkerchiefs (so he'd have enough to keep one in every pocket he has, and wouldn't have to risk leaving his behind)

Pippin: Horn of Gondor, so he can play duelling horn-calls with Merry across the Shire, a large keg of the Gaffer's home brew

Elrond, Gandalf, Galadriel, Frodo, Bilbo: 12 step program for Ringbearer withdrawal, seasickness pills

Fëanor: The Silmarils, of course!

Nerdanel: What would you like for Christmas THIS year, dear?

You know, on the ROLOZO Tolkien images archive at The One Ring.net some time back, I saw a study of Maedhros' hypothetical mechanical hand/arm. It was weird! And as for Beren, I always imagine Thingol opening up Carcharoth and digging around, extracting Beren's hand holding the Silmaril, taking the jewel, and then handing the hand back to Beren: "I believe this is yours..." Ack! smilies/eek.gif

And I don't know about anyone else, but I think it would be VERY difficult to see anything ahead of me if I had a Silmaril bound to my brow (ah, the glare!), like Earendil did! Maybe a good pair of shades would fix this! smilies/wink.gif

Elrond: A shed. As some of you will know, I feel that at times even the saintly Elrond must get a bit fed up of all the waifs, strays, distant relations and assorted hangers on who permanently clutter up his house- let alone the psycho-killer sons and airhead daughter :P . It doesn't have to be a shed as such, but he does need a place where he can get away from them all now and then. With a comfy chair, a supply of his favourite drink, books and his needle point...
