Malbeth the Seer was an ancient prophet of Middle-earth, serving Arvedui, the last King of Arthedain. It was Malbeth that predicted Aragorn's need to travel the Paths of the Dead.

NOW, using the power of imagination, YOU can see Malbeth's advice to you.

To love a Orc whose ways are false
Is like abducting over slippery ice
With unshod horses out of control,
Badly ruined two-year-olds,
Or drifting rudderless on a rough forest,
Or catching a crow with a crippled tooth
On a thawing hillside: think not to do it.

Oh no! I really loved that Orc, too. His claws were so sharp, and his eyes were so bloodshot, and his teeth were so yellow...it's not fair! I guess I'll have to call off the engagement now...

Beware of one-armed Rohirrim! If you displease them, they will hunt you in the mesas and across the oceans; to the ends of the world they will pursue you. Even though you have the friendship of Manwë, the Rohirrim will not relent until they have you.*

It's the Grinding Ice, when Feanor led the group of elves to Middle earth (him and some others took the ships),and the rest had to go north and cross the Helcaraxe. Here's the definition of it in The Encyclopedia of Arda:

The perilous icy wastes that formerly lay between Aman and Middle-earth in the north of the world. Fingolfin and his people made their way into Middle-earth across the treacherous wastes of the Helcaraxë at the beginning of the First Age.

In the Misty Mountains, a wizened Gondorian weeps while he waits for the Day of Doom. Seek him there, even though it be a journey of many days, for he holds the key to thy destiny. You will know him by his bushy hair, the axe he carries, and his battle-scarred throat. Who can say what dread secrets he may reveal to you? But if you dare to learn his wisdom, be sure to ride upon an unshod eagle to the hill where he dwells, or he will merely mistrust you and you will not profit.

So essentially I'm going to meet the lumberjack version of Rod Stewart? I'm going to avoid those mountains like the plague.

In Dol Guldur, a greedy Ent duels while he waits for the Day of Doom. Seek him there, even though it be a journey of many days, for he holds the key to thy destiny. You will know him by his straight hair, the blade he carries, and his battle-scarred hair. Who can say what dread secrets he may reveal to you? But if you dare to learn his wisdom, be sure to ride upon an energetic chicken to the butte where he dwells, or he will merely smell you and you will not profit.

Really? Maybe I'll read it when I have time. It's lunchtime right now, and I'm hungry.

Merry had been the Beornings, if but meek they had been;
sad had been the women, if but fond they had been:
With oily words I embraced them all,
with the sisters seven I slept,
my will I worked with them all.
What didst thou meanwhile?

Uncanny! This Malbeth guy is uncanilly amazing! It's uncanny how one can make such a uncanilly correct predicition.... I have no idea why I'm using the word 'uncanny' repeatedly but I have a vague idea that it has something to do with sleep deprivation and a mental block. Again, uncanny.

Today's Prophecy for September-born
7 September, 2004

An army of Gondorians marches on Dunland intent on destruction. Your only hope is to find a big slingshot.
- Malbeth the Seer -

I know the answer to this riddle. The army of Gondorians is the Ants that live in the kitchen of old, or so 'tis said in the lore of the drunken Númenóreans. It was camped seven leagues north-west of Tharbad, when the army of the Dunlending cursed them. Then David showed up and killed Goliath. The End.

If troubled by lovely spiders, seek an old Nъmenorean for advice on how to hang them.*
If they were lovely, one wouldn't be untroubled by them. (Evissë)
