Trouble insues at the premiere of TTT

Ok, unless you are being forced to go to the Barrow-Downs, you are very much anticipating the premiere of TTT than you were on the premiere of FOTR. So, to prepare you (ok, more like entertain you) for the premiere, list A)things you should do at the premiere of TTT or B)things you should not do at the Harry Potter premiere to avoid getting thrown out by HP fans.

Start whispering the rings inscription, and gradually get louder, (Like at the council meeting!) smilies/wink.gif

This is fun! But I have this nagging feeling these are all lame. I'm at that tired point where everything is funny!

Apparently the TTT trailor is shown on with Hp... The possibilities are endless. I was thinking of getting up and leaving after the trailor, but... I'm too cheap to pay to go see HP, and not see it.

Apologies for barging into this comical area, but I felt that something needed to be said.

People, I seriously doubt that the creator of this topic intended it to end up as a brawl between HP and LOTR. Reading a couple of these posts, and especially that last post made by Beruthiel, I am getting the feeling that this is not going to run so smoothly.

I mean, honestly! This was meant for light humor. Naz10 is right in saying that he is allowed to have controversial opinions, and that he doesn't have to make sure that he doesn't offend everyone. When you think about it, it is very difficult to please everyone. So just let it go. I repeat- let his comment go. I, myself, am a 14 year old girl who likes HP and LOTR, but I didn't go after Naz10. If you didn't like it, simply move on.

Also, this was not supposed to be a thread about which is better (HP or LOTR) or to make fun of the HP books. I find it silly for you all to start posting flaming comments about HP when that was uncalled for. It will only stir trouble, and no one wants that. There have been many HP VS LOTR thread before, and next to no good has come out of them. We. Do. Not. Want. Trouble.

So, for all of our sakes, lighten up and move along.

Well, I must say this thread is a bit confusing. The title is about the TTT premiere, but all the posts are about the HP premiere.

Anyway, I've got something that you should NOT do at the TTT premiere. If it ends like the book, with Frodo being stung by Shelob, you should not stand up and yell, "Don't worry folks! He isn't really dead!"

Okay, lame because Shelob probably won't be in TTT, but imagining myself doing that cracked me up, 'cause when Gandalf died in FotR, and the people around me were gasping and saying "Oh no" I almost felt like assuring them that he was coming back. smilies/rolleyes.gif

Stand at the door and make sure all who enter have read the books. If they haven't make them sit outside with a copy of LotR and don't let them in until they have AT LEAST read through TTT!!!

I had a great costume--knicker-length khaki pants, an 1800's period working-style shirt, a green vest, no shoes, a short sword, and the Ring. I think it was the Ring that threw people off.
