I posted that *save* cos no one had posted there for nearly a week and Mith could have closed the thread. I didn't mean to be the next poster. Sorry about that mix-up.

I agree with Elenna that the RPG is just about dead, but it's up to the owner to provide the drive. As for Hobbit's tale, Aman, I can't say that I have the drive anymore to make it happen. I did try to keep it mobilised for a long time all by myself, sometimes playing nearly all the characters myself. I have decided to write it was a fan fic and take the RPG off this board.

Meanwhile, I will keep posting here at this RPG and Susan's Blue Sky, Night Thunder.

Life has caught up with me for the time being and I can just about allow myself this much time online for now. smilies/frown.gif

Aravelenon has Elenor by the… erm… scruff of her neck. Wicked!

Aravelenon has plans for Mithwyn too. She isn’t getting away with treachery, no way.

Aravelenon has a big ego.

Bulvard, Ransom, Tumnaooriel, Elywn and Gwyn are pretty much helpless at this juncture. Though help is on the way in the unlikely team of Harolas and Culloth.

Since I know for a fact that Manelwen and Viking will not be returning, I will assume control of their characters till the end of this game.

What say we end this saga around Christmas??

The last post was Aravelenon's mindspeak. In his view, the 'end is near' for his enemies.

Your post in response is fantastic. Great clash in the offing.

Suggested Game Plot: Aravelenon is a powerful wizard, Elanor alone cannot defeat him. She gets help from Mithwyn and Tumna. But the forces of evil are too strong.

Suggested scenario 1: In the battle of the wizards and witches, Aravelenon is defeated, but either Mithwyn or Tumna/ or both will die. Most of the victory is credited to Elanor. Without Aravelenon, the evil horde is easy meat.

Suggested scenario 2: In the battle of the wizards and witches, Aravelenon gains an upper hand by corrupting Elanor, his forces have almost won. But the sudden intrusion of Harolas and Culloth turn the tide. Bulvard, Elwyn, Gwyn and Ransom break free and there is a free for all melee/battle. Aravelenon and his cohorts are vanquished, but at heavy cost. Either Culloth/Bulvard, Gwyn/Ransom or Tumna/Harolas will die.

We can use either one of these scenarios to end this game by Christmas time. In any event, some people have to die. This is war. It will be convenient to kill off the characters of the players who have abandoned the game, namely Culloth, Calixto(Ara dies anyway), Gwyn and Harolas(Though Elwyn may object).

Elenna, irrespective of recent going-ons, it is up to us, young and free-minded gamers to end this game on an epic note. Get Nev and Ransom to post. Let's get the big final battle on.

Forget Viking, he's busy at the Online Wizard Community and Manelwen said something about gaming at Magic:The Gathering/Great Wars.

We are all that's left for this game and we owe it to ourselves to make a grand ending. Like we did at Rivendell.

Shadow Staar, you need to get more involved with the game and not concern yourself with petty matters. It's not worth the time, trust me. I know.

Will Mithwyn get her revenge on Aravelenon? Will Aravelenon spank Mithwyn for betrayal? Will Gwyn have an active part in this tale? Will Ransom invoke the “Wrath of all the Gods” to win the day? To all whom it may concern - This RPG is considered as a beginners RPG. Thank you, very much.

Crimson Sword, which happens to be our third and most complicated endevour so far. Yes, to us teens it is. We have put a lot more effort into this one, as a team. But in the views of the respected forum founders, we don't know what we have been doing. What a shame!

Hi! I'm a mod here in the Shire. I don't think this is what Mithadan intended. As I understand it, the games were divided up randomly. This is how it was explained in temporary storage:

The RPGs in this forum have been moved to Rohan and The Shire. The selection of which RPG goes into which forum does not reflect upon the experience of the players or the complexity of the game, but rather has been done in a fashion so that a roughly even number of RPGs is moved into each of the two forums.


Hope this helps to clarify the problem.

The placement of this RPG is by no means an indication of your RPG skill or age. It was simply a place to put it. Since your rpg is of the older kind I will only interveine on your RPG if something goes blatantly wrong. Your RPG is not considered a beginner RPG. It is just a place to put it until it is finished.

Also may I look at it from a different angle. See that your RPG is an example of the dedication and hard work that should go into an RPG. We need such threads here. Please do not be offended at the placement.

In any case please drop by one of the Inns for a pint or two!

I don't have anything to gain by doing that, I'd probably be happier if the RPGs were all deleted. This game being moved to the Shire is not a value call, don't take it that way. While I agree that it may not be the best place for it, it certainly isn't anything to get upset over. It still exists, doesn't it? Play your game and be happy to do so. Continure to enjoy it or you've wasted all of your time in it so far.

And the Shire is the most beginner level. It is labled like that. It SAYS it on the description! But maybe just quietly PMing Mithadan would be a better course of action instead of in the place jumping in. Burra, Dwarin, Beth, Mithadan...my my, we must be going for a record. I dont think this is a Shire level RP, but it has been moving very slowly and not smoothly- this doesnt really level it out though. Cirith Ungol has also been put in the Shire.

Hi, guys! This is in response to your concerns about moderating. I'm one of those 'terrible' mods in the Shire whom you suggest will be jumping up and down on your heads.

This is really strange because, for quite a while in the Freestyle Room, I used to dip into the Crimson Sword now and then because it was a good story. I imagine I'll continue to do that here. I guess I just don't see any problem. If you keep writing the good stuff you've been writing all along, there's absolutely no reason I'd have to stick my nose in here to do any "moderating." The only thing I'll be doing is enjoying what you've created.

You're all experienced writers who know the ropes. Why are we throwing bricks at each other? It just doesn't make sense.

Personality: Rarely loses her temper, just laughs off arguments and insults. Placid and steady, she thinks hard before doing all except speaking. Consequently, she is tactless often, and can shoot her mouth off about all and everything under the sun. Is also incredibly gullible and will believe anything you tell her. Likes horses (she has a dapple grey pony named Cloud), nature and music. Hates braggers, men who are just looking for a pretty face.
History: Youngest daughter of Hermann Ogden, and Gwasin Greenskirt. Has been molly coddled since birth, then her father died and her step father came into the picture. Now she will do anything to get rid of him.

Zohariel, glad to see you. This RP is really coming to its end though, whether its time has come or not; there are only four of us left. Actually methinks very soon there will be one less.

There are a number of characters who have been dropped; Gwyn, Aiwyn, Harolas, Culloth, and now Tumnaooriel for Gods sake. You can pick up any one of them but, no offence meant, Id rather you didnt bring in a new character at this stage, especially when there are so many passive ones. Its a pity, Yenhofir is a great character, but its too late really. Aireglin seems to have vanished as well.

If youve all finished French United Connection Kingdom-ing about, Im gonna post. If no one else intends to, it can be the last post. Im just sick of this entire business; its turned sour.

And I found out why this Role Play didnt get its deserved place in Rohan. Maybe some of you should have thought about that before you started on at Bethberry.
