Jecht looked down the long road. The sun had already set and night was cvoming fast. He had traveled far and stil had far to go. But he did not want to go any further tonight. Across the road was a small tavern.he smiled at the thought of a good pint and walked over to it. The tavern was noisey. A busy noght apparently and good for him. No one would notice him as a stranger. Jecht swaggered over to the bar.
Jecht-Hey barkeep!
barkeeper-What?
Jecht-Give me a pint of your strongest.
The barkeeper slid Jecht a mug full of the strong ale. Jecht tossed him some coins and headed over a table by the fire. As he walked a large man stuck out his leg and tripped Jecht
Man: Watch where yer goin' half breed!
Jecht: Watch yourself you drunk...
Man: Hey dont you be tellin' me what to do.
The man stood up and bared his fists. Jecht laughed off the man's threat quietly. And then with out warning threw an uppercut to the man's chest. The man doubled over and Jecht threw a left and right hook to his head. The man fell over and his buddies took him away. Jecht smirked as the man had to be led away. Jecht fixed his coat and re-composed himself. He walked to the man's table and picked up the man's untouched drink and then with it walked over to a table nearest the fire. He took a seat and the crowd quickly returned to their own business. Jecht watched the crowd for a moment and then some one caught his eye....

A figure wrapped in a grey cloak walked in. All you could see from the shadow of the cloak was the bright silver eyes.

Primrose

Primrose walked along the protracted road. She looked back and saw the sunset over the hills and sighed in delight. The sunset was enchanting. Th colours gold, red and purple filled the whole mountain side. The hills were singing with beauty. Primrose turned back to the wroad the way she was walking and then realized had been walking for many hours and hadn’t had a good solid meal all day. So she decided she needed something to eat. Up ahead she saw a small tavern and went inside of it. She walked up to the bartender and asked him for a pint and a meal. She sat down with her pint and dinner at a near table. Many people were staring at her. I guess they don’t see many hobbits here. She sipped her pint and noticed an elfish man trying to warn off a local. It was an amusing site to see considering the drunk the man was trying to warn off was utterly disoriented. With out warning the elf threw an uppercut right into the drunk and walked away. Primrose quickly forgot about the elf that had just fought the drunk because some one else caught her eye. Something only wrapped in a grey cloth, she couldn’t really make out what the figure actually was. Primrose was about to go back and drink her pint, trying to forget about the mysterious figure, but then notice this mystery thing had bright silver eyes. Primrose’s eyes were fixated on the thing that had just walked into the tavern.

Jecht leaned back in his chair. He sipped from the tankard as he watched this little halfling that had caught his eye. Rarely did he run into any. He wondered why a halfling was in a place like this. He walked over to her table.
Jecht: Any one else sitting here? Mind if I do? [he said and he seemed to have a smile in his dark grey eyes]

Primrose watched the mysterious person very closely. Then a man walked in front of her blocking her view of the figure. When the man moved out of the way, the mysterious figure had gone.
“Any one else sitting here? Mind if I do?” The man that had walked in front of her was talking to her now. The little startled Hobbit spilt her drink.
“Oops,” Primrose blushed, “Sorry ‘bout that, you startled me. No one is sitting in that seat. Would you like to join me?”
“That is very kind of you to offer. Here let me buy you another drink.” The man called for a bartender, “and you said your name was.”
“’tis rude of me, not introducing myself to a very nice stranger, my name is that of Primrose Banks, from Rushey. And may I ask you yours?”

Jecht: You can call me Jecht, although sometimes I go by other names[he said sitting down] so what is a halfling such as yourself doing here?[Jecht said and then casually looked over his shoulder back at the grey shadow of a creature. There was a famliar something about it]

Kalia walked along the road, meaning to get away from her old life and start a new one. Along the way, she saw a tavern, and since it was late, she decided to ask for a room. She pulled her black hood over her face so as not to be seen and walked inside. Looking around, she saw that the bartender was busy serving a halfling and another elf, such as her. She looked away, seeing that one of them had looked her way. She made her way to the bar and ordered a pint once the bartender came back. She made her way to a table in the corner of the room and sat, so as not to be noticed. She pulled out a tattered old book from her pocket and began reading.

The cloaked figure reveals her wild red and green hair and her silver eyes.

What appears to be a rope is around her belt.

Thengise Greenleaf of Mirkwood
08-11-2002, 12:09 AM
Thengise was sitting in a corner with her cloak and hood on. She was an elf from Mirkwood who often ran away for she was the daughter of Legolas and therefore the princess. She looked around noticing other elves, a hobbit, and another girl with silver eyes. Thengise's green eyes glowed under the cloak and was the only thing to be seen of her face.

Kalia's constantly changing eyes flashed out from under the lip of her hood, now gold, and now green. She looked around, noticing every little detail, like the halfling andthe elf were still talking, an elf with green and red hair, how unusual, and someone else surveying the room. She shrugged and went back to her book. About an hour later, she yawned and decided to go to her room to sleep. She walked over and was about to leave when she crashed into someone.
"I'm sorry," she mumbled. She looked up and saw...

Primrose

“Pardon?” Primrose was daydreaming about home.

“I asked what is a halfling such as yourself doing here?” Jecht repeated him self.

“I am here looking for an adventure. I have nothing to do in Rushey so I set out a few days ago and just been following that road.” said Primrose. Then she noticed Jecht look over to the mysterious figure that had now taken off her cloke and had reveled oneself as an elf. It was unlike any elf that Primrose had seen. Primrose had not seen many elves in her life but she sensed it was different. Her hair was long and astonishing green streaks. She had a rope as a belt. The presences of her seemed anomalous (irregular) to Primrose.

Primrose looked back to Jecht and noticed he also was staring at the elf, “So you noticed the elf to.”

Jecht rocked back in his chair a bit for Primrose startled him. He was concentrating, trying to figure out who this elf was and why her presence felt all too familiar. He turned to Primrose “Do you happen to know who she is?”

“I have not the least bit of knowledge for I haven’t seen many elves in my duration. Do many elves look as this one does?’

“No, an elf maiden does not usually look like this.” Jecht looked puzzled, “I think I shall find out who this mystery elf is.” And with that Jecht excused himself from the table, picked up his pint and went in the direction of the elf.

Jecht took a few steps foward but something held him back and he turned back around.
Primrose-What? why don't you go over there?
Jecht-it doesn't feel right. I don't think I'll go over there just yet. I'm just going to walk around for a bit clear my head.
Jecht set his pint back on the table and walked off. He ran his hand through his short bristley black hair, not watching where he was going and ran into someone
Kalia-sorry[mumbled]
Jecht was about to say something harsh but caught his words before they came out
Jecht-Wat..oh..my fault need to watch where I'm going
Jecht noticed her book
Jecht-Whats that?
Kalia- A book...
Jecht- Well I know that, I meant what book is it?

"It's a copy of a book my father wrote. It's called 'The Adventures of Juniper Robyn'. It's one of my favorite books," she said, looking at the tattered cover. "Why? Why do you ask?" questioned, looking up at him.

Primrose watched Jecht head towards the mystery elf then bump into someone else. Primrose giggled then thought to herself I knew that little chicken could not go see the elf, Primrose laughed again, ]he couldn’t even talk to the girl.
Primrose was about to go see the elf herself until something else more prominent caught her eye.
Some one in the corner covered head to two only showing her two emerald green eyes that seemed to glow in the fire. The character in the corner looked like a women but Primrose wasn’t quite sure, the light in the tavern was horrible to see in. Primrose started to walk toward the corner, the women that sat there started to get up. Primrose followed her upstairs, obviously she did not want to be seen. When the hobbit and the women reached the end of the hall, Primrose said “Stop this instant and tell me who you are, I would like to know why someone as tall as yourself is scared of a little defenseless hobbit like me.

[Oh ya, sorry Jecht bout the chicken thing. I don’t mean any hard feelings]

Jecht nodded
Jecht-So would you like a drink, or are you setting of early in the morning?

Thengise looked down at the hobbit. They were the only ones in the stairway so she pulled down her hood, revealing her face and her necklace containing a single green leaf which represented the royal Greenleafs.

"I am not afraid of you,"Thengise said softly."I just don't want to be recognized for then word would get to my father and he would surely come for me,"she added wondering if the hobbit knew yet who she was.

Jecht walked back with Kalia into the bar area. They passed by a long hallway and Jecht happened to look down it and saw Primrose, his small halfling friend and then he saw someone that made him do a double take. He looked right into her eyes and hers connected with his. Jecht looked away and then walked on with Kalia. They made it to the bar and although Jecht offered to buy her one, Kalia insisted on getting her own drink.
Jecht-Did you see the two in the hall back there?
Kalia-No, who was[she began to say looking back]
Jecht-No don't[he said holding her arm, turning her back around and then he let go]back there was a friend of mine and an elf
Kalia-There seems to be a bloody lot of us around[she said trying to make a joke out of it]
but Jecht was serious
Jecht-I used live in Mirkwood and I was there for 20 years. That elf back there was Prince Legolas Greenleaf's daughter. If its not her then I never lived there...He'd be mad if he knew where she was...

Jecht- Father, don't cast me from your side
Bergild-I can and I have...leave these woods

Jecht-Life got boring[he lied]

"Yes, I know the feeling. Oh yes, my name is Kalia, who are you?" she asked, thinking of why she'd left her home. She was an outcast, scorned because she was the only one in her small town that liked reading. Everyone else either played darts or fought. They'd steal her books and burn them, so she'd left, taking her only remaining books, the one she'd shown to Jecht, and one that her mother had given her before she'd died.

He heard her call from behind him. Jecht wasn't paying attention as he moved swiftlydown the all where they saw them last. He heard the light footfalls of Kalia coming behind him.
Kalia-What is going on?

"I noticed you and that hobbit were staring at me. Why?"

"Well, I've just never seen a lady that has such odd colored hair and eyes before....Where are you from? And what is your name?"

Thorn put her head down and started to lie: "I have lived in Mirkwood all my life. I am Thoriel."

"Oh."

"If you don't mind, I would like to go to bed now. I will see you in the morning. Goodnight."

As she walked up the stairs, she started to think about her real past.
Flashback:

Fëaearwen, her mother: Thorn! Get out! Leave! Make for Mirkwood! I love you!
Thorn, when she was little: Mama! Ada! I'll save you!
Eregion: NO! Go now!
She hears screaming as Orcs and other evil things broke into her house and killed her parents.
Thorn: Mama! Ada!
She drops down beside their dead bodies.
Thorn: No...(starts to cry)
She takes a necklace of a rose off of her mother's neck.
Thorn: I will see you in the Halls of Manwe...

Thengise Greenleaf of Mirkwood
08-13-2002, 03:37 PM
Thengise had realized that a man or was it an elf, had been watching her. He looked familiar, as if she had seen him somewhere in Mirkwood, but she couldn't figure out who he was. She decided to walk outside in front of the tavern with the hobbit.

"Who may I ask are you?"Thengise asked the hobbit.

Jecht continued until the end of the hall, he had found no one. At the end of the hall there was a door that led to the back alley out side the Tavern. He went out and cautiously looked around him. It was a dark and Jecht had to watch where he put his feet. He came around to the front of the tavern and saw Thengise. She hadn't seen him and Jecht hid in the shadows, just watching. She was as beautiful as Jecht had remembered seeing her in his days in Mirkwood. Jecht knew he couldn't stay in the shadows though. He stood up tall and fixed his coat. He walked right over to the Princess.
Jecht-Princess Thengise of Mirkwood[he said in elvish, she turned around to face him and Jecht almost mechanically lowered his eyes and head] I am Jecht, one of your father's captains, don't worry he hasn't sent me to find you, and I will not tell him of your whereabouts, I only ask that you allow me to protect you as it is my sworn duty...[he kept his eyes lowered, for he knew he wasn't worthy to look on her, he wasn't even pure-blooded]

If that is what you want then you may protect me, but on the condition that we treat each other as friends and not by rank or blood,"she said softly to him, noticing how he would not allow himself to make eye contact.

Jecht-My Lady, what are you doing here? There is evil afoot...not the safest place to be searching for an adventure. Primrose, I see you've left your pint.

Collette gasped and backed away, with her stolen bread and cheese. She had a torn and patched skirt and Bodice that were in an array of tatters, a travel worn and faded green cloak and a single peive of cloth ( probably stolen) that held back her wild and unruly golden brown curls. she looked starved and miserable. and her green eyes hinted with distrust.

Thorn got to her bedroom door, opened it slightly, and then turned to face the hall.
"I need to have fun. That would be what my Mama and Ada would want. Yes."
She sighed, and then saw a shadow moving and lite{sp?} screams from the room down the hall. The door was closed, so she put her ear to the door, holding her sword's hilt.
"No! No! I won't run a way again!" She heard what seemed to be a woman saying.
"We'll be sure of that!" A man yelled and the woman screamed.
With all of her might, Thoriel pushed open the door. She saw a woman dead, on the bed. A man was standing over her with a bloody sword.
"Help! Murderer! Help!" Thorn screamed at the top of her lungs.
"What? Get out of here girl! Before I do something drastic!" Thorn stood her ground.
She heard people downstairs, so she called again: "MURDERER! UPSTAIRS! Help!" She yelled louder than before.
"I warned you!" He ran rowards her, and she paniced{sp?}. She barely missed his plunge of the sword into the door.
She grabbed her sword and put it infront of her face, ready to spring. "You're not going to kill me, or injure me for that matter. I have my Mother and Father looking over me!" She plunged at him, and he dodged.

He plunged at her one more time, and she tried to dodge, but failed. The sword jammed into her side and she fell onto the dusty floor. With her last breath she yelled: "Kalia! Jecht! HELP!" And passed out and saw no more.

The murderer ran downstairs into the crowd, he managed to make it into the street, with many gaurds behind him.

"Thoriel! Are you all right?" she yelled, dashing to her. "What happened?"

Collette followed The two elves and Primrose up the stairs. upon seeing the strange elf lying there, blood draining fast she didnt hesitate. since she was much too small to help Kalia , thengise and Jecht carry her, Her and Primrose began to clear the way through the fast forming crowd, to an empty room where they lay her, putting cold cloths on her face and on her wound.

Jecht-Still looking for adventure, are we?
Before she could reply back Jecht left the room and went back outside to confront the attacker and murderer. The man had run into the arms of the town's guards and had no chance for an escape. Jecht questioned the man but was unable to get any clear response from him. The man's breath reeked of the bar's ale and Jecht ordered the man to be placed in the jail until he was sober enough to be questioned. Jecht went back into the bar when he felt a urgent pulling on his arm. He looked over and saw.......

Thengise stood in the hallway after being pushed away by the nurse. She thought about what Jecht had whispered to her. She still wanted adventure yet she didn't want people getting hurt. She looked around and saw Collette snatching a satchet from a man, which contained coins. Thengise blocked Collette's way and looked down at the hobbit. OoC:Don't be gone too long, Elf Chick! Okay, I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm going to speed up to the next day, you guys can still post like its night just end it on the next morning, I hope thats cool with everyone.

BiC: Jecht walked to the outside of the tavern. The night was cool and the sky showed no sign of rain, so Jecht decided that he would sleep on a bench outside the bar. He laid down on the bench and looked up at the stars and thought of home and fell into sleep.
Jecht awoke the next morning. The sun had not yet risen the the village was covered in a blanket of twilight-blue. Jecht stood up, streched, and ran his hand through his hair. He looked down the road and saw no one. Jecht decided to take a walk. As he walked, he noticed a small stream that kept getting bigger as he walked along next to it. It ran through a mill and Jecht saw that it flowed from a river upstream. He followed it to a more secluded area. Jecht pushed some overgrowth out of the way and saw where the river began. A huge waterfall flowed into a deep river, it was a sight that took Jecht back home to Mirkwood. He smiled to himself. Jecht went over to the river's edge and took off his heavy overcoat ,old armor, and boots, but left on his pants and belt. Jecht dove into the icy water. He swam around for a while and then looked up at the waterfall. He got out and went over to the waterfall and began to climb the rocks that led to the top of the waterfall. As he climbed, his back muscles worked like a pather's. With his coat and armor off the intricate tattooings on his back showed. Jecht reached the top and took a looke around. Then he jumped off into the water. He returned to the surface and jumped up onto a rock, when he heard a quiet laughing from behind him, almost instanly, he turned back into a warrior and loosed a small throwing knife from his belt, but held back his throw when he saw it was.........

Kalia sat up after a night's worried sleep, hoping Thoriel would be okay. She checked in on her and saw that the old woman had patched her up, and she was sleeping. She smiled and left the room, deciding to get some food and take a walk. SHe strolled downstairs and out the door, to go look for any possible apple trees. To her luck, there was one nearby, where she heard giggling and a waterfall to the left. She snatched a few apples and followed the sounds. When she arrived, Thengise was looking at Jecht, who was sitting on a rock, soaking wet. She smiled and stood in the shadows, chewing on an apple.

Thoriel woke up, with an excruciating pain in her side. Her side was bandaged up, and the cloth was drinched in blood. She was still wearing the same blood-filled clothes as when she was attacked. She remembered everything from the night before. She could have saved that woman if she would have burst in just seconds earlier.

Her thoughts were interupted by the morning sun rising into her window. She saw some sort of crutches laying by her bed. With great difficulty, she used the crutches to get downstairs and outside into the brisk morning air.

She walked down the road, and came to a grove of apple trees. With her injury, she couldn't get any down, so she searched for ones on the ground.

She saw a small stream and a large waterfall, and three people beside it. She noticed them to be Thengise, Kalia, and Jecht, and went to them.

Thorn pulled a red ponytail holder out of her pocket and put her wild red and green hair up in it. When she lifted her arms behnid her head, her necklace came out from beneth her shirt. She dropped the holder and quickly put the rose shaped necklace back in her shirt. With much pain, she picked up the holder and put her hair up.

Primrose awoke in an apple tree that was along a near by stream. She got down from the tree and grabbed herself a nice juicy apple and went down to the stream. She cleansed herself for Primrose was a very clean hobbit then took a sip of the clean pure stream water. She looked around her, looking at the small tavern were she ate last night, the hills the sky, all that looked different in the day for she had arrived there at sunset the past night.
She gathered her things and said “Good bye my many friends that I met last night, you will always have a place in my mind and in my heart.”

And with that Primrose walked along the road where she had traveled the day before. Then she heard a voice and turned around it was the group of people she had met last night. Primrose called after them.

“Jecht wait up, I wish to come with you and the others.”

They all turned. Collette, Jecht, Kalia and Thegnise knew who the hobbit was but Thorn was not familiar with whom she was.

Primrose stuck out her hand towards Thorn. “My name is Primrose Banks from Rushey, I am sorry I did not really get to meet you last night.”

Thorn shook Primrose’s hand and said, “My name is Thoriel though I also liked to be called Thorn.”

Jecht turned his gaze toward the road. And not a moment too soon.
Jecht-Get off the road!
Kalia-Whats going on?
Jecht-Now! Get off the road!
The elves and hobbits left the road just before group of three warriors stormed around Jecht. They had been charging down the road ahead. Jecht jumped from his horse and drew his sword and the riders followed suit. Jecht swung his sword wildly at the one that appeared to be their leader. The sword went far in him a stuck. Jecht released his grip on it and drew forth a long knife. As he was doing so Warrior2 stabbed Jecht in the small of his back. Jecht weiled around and he felt the sword rip through him. Jecht stabbed Warrior2 throug the upper neck but as Warrior2 fell Warrior3 punched Jecht in the face and Jecht fell to a knee. In a final effort Jecht plunged the knife into Warrior3 and as Jecht fell so did Warrior3. Jecht had killed the warriors but lay himself an inch from death...

Thorn was unable to do anything, thanks to her injury. She sat quietly on her horse.

Jecht was fainted on the hard ground. Kalia was around him, almost crying.

She slowly closed her eyes, and was deep in her thoughts. She remembered when she was little and her parents died, and how she was so helpless, and practically watched them die inside their little cottage.

She awoke again, and saw that the whole group was surrounding Jecht. She thought to herself: "I don't want to be helpless again. Jecht saved my life. I have to save his. I don't care how hurt I am."

She slide with pain off of her giant cinnamon horse. She crawled to the group.

"Is her going to be Ok?" She asked Thengise.

"I don't know. He needs medicine quickly though."

Jecht felt many people around him. He knew he was on the ground but that was about it. To the groups amazement Jecht slowly managed to get to his feet on his own. He swayed little bit as his stood, but things began coming into clearer focus.
Kalia-You Ok?
Jecht just looked at her for a minute and then down over at the fallen warrior that still had his sword stuck in him. Jecht walked over and drew it from him. He wiped off the blood of it and resheathed. Jecht turned back round to the group
Jecht- Lets go[he said in a hollow, sort of dead voice]
Thorn-You're hurt, very badly, you can't possibly go on!
Jecht-[takes in a deep breath]I'll be fine
Collette- You can't be serious!
Jecht gave her a look that for the first time in a long time, got Collette to be quiet.
Thengise- I order you to stop and take some rest.[the group had never heard her use her authoritative tone and this time Jecht listened]
Jecht-Fine, but lets get off the road.

They walked a short distance away from the road but were well hidden amongst the trees. While the rest of the group was talking trying to figure out Jecht, Jecht went off aways from them...Jecht didn't want their help for his wounds. He had taken worse on his own...

Thengise talked among the others as they tried to figure out what should be done to help Jecht. Her eyes wandered to Jecht who was was beginning to disappear as he walked deeper into the forest. Thengise quietly slipped away from her friends. She followed him into the woods. He finally stopped at a very small clearing and sat on a rock. Thengise jumped into a tree almost above him and silently watched. He seemed so troubled yet he seemed to have too much pride to let them help him. After a while Thengise jumped down and sat herself next to Jecht on the rock. Jecht just turned to her as if having known she had followed. "You must let us help you,"Thengise said softly to him in elvish.

Jecht-I'll be fine
Thengise-Don't be silly, Jecht, you're bleeding. Those guys gave you a beating. What was that about anyway?
Jecht-I don't know, just some radiers I guess. Come on, the others are waitng. We have to get to another town before night fall.[Jecht turned around and began to walk back toward the others, as he did Thengise noticed that something in his eyes seemed unnatural] My Lady, come on, we don't have much time left...

They walked back to the others and Jecht instructed them that they shouldn't use the road any longer..

Thengise nodded and followed Jecht to the others, yet something in his eyes did not seem quite right. She quietly mounted the white horse and began to follow Jecht along with the others. She wondered who those men had been, yet she had a feeling Jecht knew something about it. Jecht's face seemed very troubled and Thengise couldn't help but wonder why. As they rode on Thengise looked back as if saying goodbye to her home. Oh how she missed Mirkwood. She looked back at Jecht. "What's wrong? You seem troubled,"she asked softly.

Thengise-and yet you go to it willingly...what about your life?

They had decided on a spot not too far off the road to make camp for night. Collette had started up a fire and set to sharpening a small sword. Jecht smiled a little as he ties his horse off to a nearby tree. He walked slowly to the fire and stood across from Collette with the fire in between them.
Jecht-Nice sword
Collette-Thanks, I've had it forever. A good friend gave it to me.
Jecht nodded and pulled out his own sword. It was long and a bit curved.
Collette-Nice sword, bit big isn't it? Any good with it?
Jecht looked at it a bit as it reflected the firelight.
Jecht-We'll soon see, won't we?[he said resheathing it] ever seen Mordor?

My aimless wandering i believed would never lead me to such a place, and it never has until now." She said, trying out the blade with the tip of her thumb.
A steady stream of blood began to creep from her skin, as the flesh turned crimson. She grinned maniacally, the scars upon her hands showing that this type of testing her blade had become somewhat of habit to her.

Thengise knew Jecht was troubled no matter what he said. It seemed he had no reason to live by the way he spoke of himself. She said nothing though and sat down by the fire to watch the others. She saw Collette testing the sharpness of her blade as her blood trickled down. Thengise almost cringed at the sight. She saw Jecht resheathing his sword. Thengise took one of Collette's muffins as the hobbit offered on to her. Then she walked over to Jecht. "You have so much to live for,"Thengise said softly before disappearing into the woods. Everything seemed to be safe and ok. Jecht stood up and followed Thengise. The night was silent the stars shown with brilliance in the heavens. He placed his feet carefully trying not to make a lot of noise when he stepped. Though every noise he did make sounded to him like a gong. Then he saw her. She was walking a little ahead of him and seemed to be admiring the stars. She was so beautiful, he thought. But she always had been. He stepped closer and Thengise saw him.
Thengise-Do you believe what I told you?
Jecht- Its hard to...
Thengise-It shouldn't be.
Jecht walked over to her
Jecht-Sometimes when life continually beats you down over and over again, it makes it hard to think that I do...
Thengise stepped closer to him and put her hand around the back of his neck
Thengise-Sometimes life is like that...
Jecht looked deeply into her eyes
Jecht-I've always thought you were beautiful and now I can see the inner beauty in you as well.
Jecht drew Thengise close and kissed her. The stars shown with a particualar brillance that night.

Seeing as the town was out of the question as Thengise was passing out the bunch of sandwiches to Collette and the rest, Jecht took to wandering. He wasn't going far, just a little was into the forest. He had someone on his mind. He didn't care if she was engaged, that man didn't deserve her. The part of the forest they were in reminded he greatly of mirkwood. While he appeared to be human the inside of him was all elf. He had sung when he was younger and now he would sing again, though it had been many years, his voice was still in tune...
Jecht-Never knew I could feel like this
Like I've never seen the sky before
Want to vanish inside your kiss
Every day I love you more and more
Listen to my heart, can you hear it sings
Telling me to give you everything
Seasons may change, winter to spring
But I love you until the end of time

Come what may
Come what may
I will love you until my dying day
...Jecht had turned and there stood Thengise who had heard him apprently, who then also began to sing...
Thengise-Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place
Suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace
Jecht&Thengise-Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste
Thengise-It all revolves around you
Jecht&Thengise-And there's no mountain too high
No river too wide
Sing out this song and I'll be there by your side
Storm clouds may gather
And stars may collide
But I love you until the end of time

Come what may
Come what may
I will love you until my dying day

Jecht-Oh, come what may,
Thengise-come what may
Jecht-I will love you,
Thengise-I will love you
Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place

Jecht&Thengise-Come what may
Come what may
I will love you until my dying day

...The song was finished, it was their song, Jecht knew that his life had changed forever, ever since the day back in the pub when he first caught fleeting glimpes of her. Her eyes shown like the stars. He loved her....

"You are what my heart desires,"Thengise said softly. "And you are what mine desires,"Jecht replied. Thengise let go of one of Jecht's hands and ran her fingers down his face. As the days passed, The terrain grew darker and rockier with each mile. They reached a line of black, rugged mountains one evening and Jecht bid them to let the horses go (NoOo NOT MY BUBBA! *sob*)
As, they wouldnt be much use for the rest of the trip unless they ran out of food.
An interesting idea, Collette thought, and as they began to hike, she was filled with the thoughts of what grilled horse would taste like....
It began to rain. The water looked black like the clouds that swirled angrily above them, And in the hot air, the rain felt neither cool nor refreshing, but hot and sticky and uncomfortable.
" Are we in Mordor?" She whispered to her companions.

Although Jecht was happy here in Gondor the threat of Mordor was growing even more present. It was one night while Jecht was in the soldier barracks, that he recieved the news he was to march out against Mordor in the morning. He felt like hitting the man who had brought him the message. Jecht went and laid down on his cot and fell into an uneasy sleep of the past...

Begin dream:
in the dream Jecht is back home in Mirkwood,he is in the bloom of youth but a long scar had already marred his face. Even though he is younger than most, Jecht has already risen to the rank of captain. Apparently there is a big ceremony about to begin and Jecht and some of his top soldiers are on guard.
Jecht-Fan out over there a bit[to random soldiers, until his commanding officer walks up]
Commander-You've done well, Jecht.
Jecht-Thankyou Sir
Commander-Your father would have been proud!
Jecht-Thanks...Sir[as he looks away towards the sound of trumpets and a younger Thengise and her father walk past]
A bright white flash occurs in his dream and now There is a younger Jecht unmarred by a scar, he angry and arguing with who appears to be his father...
Jecht-I never can do anything good enough for you can I Father?!
Bergild-You aren't my son, you half breed!
Jecht-I am just as skilled as you are, old man!
Bergild-Insolence[Jecht's father quickly drew a long silver sword and slashed upwards at Jecht's face, dream Jecht screams as does the real Jecht who wakes up]
Jecht sat up quickly and was breathing hard, the barracks was dark and at first he thought he was alone until he heard a voice in the dark...
Thengise-Shh, you mustn't scream so[she leaned in and kissed him.]
Jecht-Thengise, you shouldn't be here, what if you get caught, he will beat you. I can't bear you to be in pain, for what is my doing...
Thengise-But is not just your doing.

She looked like a young hobbit lad, indeed if Pippin Gamgee could see her now she would be his twin...
Jecht and Thengise also sauntered in, their hands secretly entwined between them.
"Hopefully we shall all see eachother bfore or after this is over." Said Collette doubtfully, slipping her faded cloak about her shoulders.
" We will" said Thengise. She too sounded a bit doubtful.
Jecht turned to her and begged "Please say you will stay here and be safe." he said to her.
"I will not." she said stubbornly.

Jecht-I don't want you marching off to death!
Thengise-I don't want you to either!
Jecht sighed he knew there was no changing her mind now. Some soldiers called for him to go. Jecht looked around to make sure there was no one around that didn't already know about them and he gave Thengise a kiss on the cheek and then left quickly with out looking back. If he only knew. He marched out and faced the terror of Mordor that day. It was growing darker, Jecht had sustained many wounds but his energy was nearly spent. AS he was fighting a group of orcs surrounded him, he took his sword and cut into and orc, but one came from behind. The orc plunged a blade deep into his side. He turned to look at the orc. The orc had begun to laugh and then stopped as it noticed it had a blade in his side as well. It was to be the last blade Jecht drew. Jecht fell to the bloodstained ground, he felt his breath growing shorter, and then he heard a blare of trumpets and the shouts of men, reinforcements had come. jecht smiled, the battle wasn't lost, they would win, he only hoped Thengise was safe. He wished that he had said goodbye, here at the end of all things...

OoC: Ok don't panic too much, I hope you guys will back track what I did and add your own events as to what happened it battle, and to spefically Collette and Thengise, I don't want any battlefield ressurections of Jecht, I don't know what I'm going to do with him yet...

'Hmmm..." Thengise said, thouroughly anxious and frightned. They marched head on head with an upcoming wave of foul-smelling orcs. 'Here we go" she muttered before launching herself into the sea of mass killing.

The skin around the blade had turned black and every breath he took caused great pain. And then through the smokey hase Jecht saw her. She was lightly scarred from battle, but they would heal. Thengise was fighting with a fury, and once he saw her he smiled a small smile. He tried to talk, to call out to her, but all that came out was whispers
Jecht-Come what may...Thengise, I have loved you...until my dying day...[Jecht took a deep breath and then he felt his eyes roll into the back of his head as he let it out and passed into unconsciousness.

Thengise turned to see a large army of elves headed towards them. She pulled back on her bow before sending an arrow flying into an orc before turning back again to find her father leading the army. The elves of Mirkwood were coming forth into battle. Thengise's heart rejoiced to see her father even though she knew he would be angry if he happened to recognize her. Thengise turned back to the orc army once more and continued to fight. Her arm had grown very sore. She now felt pain everytime she drew back her bowstring. The elves were now at her sides with the rest of the men. As the elves forced the orcs to retreat a bit Thengise saw a figure on the floor. It was no orc, but a man at that. She ran towards the body as she recognized Jecht's face. Thengise dropped to her knees beside Jecht. He was still alive, yet he was barely hanging on as he lay unconscious. "Hold on, Jecht. Don't give up. I love you, don't leave me now,"she whispered as tears rolled down her face.

The battle still raged. Jecht wasn't sure if he was alive or dead until he heard the voice of his beloved. He opened his eye slowly and saw her there. He was to weak to speak to her, so he just took in her beauty. Then Jecht saw a massive orc coming up behind her with a iron mace raised high in the air. Jecht summonded up his remaining strength and pushed himself up,Jecht pushe Thengise out of the way of the orc and he took his sword and struck down the orc. As the orc fell, he let the mace fall and it stuck Jecht. Jecht fell back to the ground as Thengise rushed back to him.
Jecht-Go[Jecht breathed heavily]Go now before its too late, save yourself from this hell.
Thengise-Not without you, I couldn't bear living without you.
Jecht-Stubborn Girl! Don't you see? There is no hope for me[Jecht let his head fall to the ground]
Thengise-Stupid Man![She said and there was tears in her voice] Even now, there is always hope! Get up[she said as she lifted Jecht to his feet] I love you Jecht, don't you ever forget that!
Jecht-I don't know if I ever could[kisses her]

Thengise found a horse that had lost his rider in battle, and together they mounted the horse and began to ride back to Minas Tirith. They found their compainions on the way and rode back through the city gates. The battle continued for many days, but the side of virtue won out and there was great rejoicing in the city, except in one corner of the great city, in the houses of healing, one remained near death. Although the doctors were able to remove the blade, the blackness and the wound remianed. Jecht still found breathing to be as painful as ever, and Thengise, when not forced from the side of Jecht's bed by her fiance, was constantly worried. Collette, was busy trying to keep Thengise calm, hoping that Jecht wouldn't give in and die. One day while Jecht was alone in his room a visitor came, but it wasn't Collette or Thengise, or any of his other compainions. It was a man that Jecht had only seen from a distance. It was Eldarion, Thengise's fiance.
Eldarion-How are you feeling today, Captian?
Jecht-Better, My lord
Eldarion-You make a poor liar, Captian, my love tells it differently to her friend.
Jecht loathed that fact he called Thengise his love
Eldarion-In fact, she says you are near death.
Jecht-Not too near death, My lord.
Eldarion-I came to thank you for bringing her back to me. She is very beautiful and I'd hate to lose her[He said stepping closer to Jecht, there was an air about him that made Jecht very wary] And to think, I almost did.
Jecht-War is very perilous, My lord.
Eldarion-I'm not talking about the war, captain. I'm talking about, you,[he was very close to Jecht now] Stay away from her, she is mine, its not that I'm a jealous man, I just don't like other people touching my things[he said as he pushed his hand into Jecht's wound. Jecht gritted his teeth, not wanted to give Eldarion the pleasure of him screaming] I'd invite you to the wedding, Captain[He said moving away from Jecht and back towards the door] but you know, my love might get all emotional at the sight of you. Good day, and feel better.

Eldarion left. Jecth was seething with hatered, he wouldn't stand by and see Thengise subcome to such a fate...

Collette was busy sauntering about, her hair pulled back in a ribbon once more. Anyone who knew her would know that this meant her mind was busy inventing things to wreak havoc and mayhem.
She heard shrieks erupt in one of the Rooms.and recognized them as thengise's.
Running in she observerd the scene. Eldarion had just finished pummeling her, and held her in check by her hair, which had been done up in a long braid. "I am you FINACE!" he roared. "And you will respect me and OBEY me!"
Thengise sobbed and tryed to reply, but couldnt.
"STOP IT!" Collette roared loudly from the door, and charged Eldarion like a whineded Rhino.
After tackling him, she got a few lucky punches, giving him a broken nose and a swollen cheek, but the shrieks had drawn guards to them, that quickly pulled Collette off and took her away.

Jecht tried to walk around a bit but found he couldn't with out the aid of a wooden staff. Then he heard the shouts of Collette from down the hall.
Collette-Oh sure, you'll stand by and let him beat her, but when some one tries to do the right thing you through them into prison, oh I get it!
Jecht had an idea as to what happened. He limped out into the hall and called to the guards.
Jecht-Where do you think you're going?
Soldier-Oh, captain, didn't expect to see you up and about, This little traitor is to be sent to the prison.
Jecht-Why[he asked in an authoritative tone]
Soldier-She attacked the heir.

Thengise Greenleaf of Mirkwood

Eldarion turned to look at Thengise as they dragged Collette away. "Your friend goes to her death if she continues with that behavior,"he said coldly as he clutched his nose. "Don't you dare touch her. She deserves better than to be touched by your filthy hands,"she threatened. "Don't tell me what I can and cannot do,"he said raising his arm. Thengise closed her eyes and braced herself for what was to come, but Eldarion slowly put his arm down. "We'll finish this little discussion later,"he said as he left the room clutching his nose most likely to go in search of a doctor.

Thengise sighed with relief and waited until he was out of sight to go searching for Collette. She found the guards that had taken her friend and wiped away her tears before showing herself. "What have you done with the hobbit?"she asked one of them. "The captain, Jecht, demanded we let her go, so we did,"the guard replied. "Very well, thank you,"Thengise said as she turned in the direction of her room, but instead waited in the corner for the guards to leave. Once she was sure they were gone she ran to Jecht's room. Once there she found that Collette and Jecht seemed to be having an arguement.

Thengise didn't know what was going on, but she looked at Collette with admiring eyes. "Thank you so much Collette for doing what you did,"Thengise said as she knelt down and hugged her friend. She stood back up and looked at Jecht. "Thank you for bringing Collette,"she said softly as she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him.

Jecht did not reciprocrate and he stepped back, leaning heavily on his staff, Thengise looked toward him and there was hurt in her eyes
Jecht-I don't know what do or feel anymore,Thengise[he said and it appeared he was fighting back tears] I can't be in love with you. Eldarion has forbidden it. But, I can't help myself, Thengise, I love you too much. I must fight Eldarion, it is the only way...
Thengise-How will you fight him in the condition you are in?[she stepped toward Jecht but he still stepped back again] He is a strong man, Jecht, you are near death now, if you fight him...he will finish you off.
Jecht-I will fight Eldarion, he will not finish me off. It is the only way, Thengise...[he about to walk past Thengise when he stopped by her side he stole a quick kiss from her on the cheek and walked out of the room]

Thengise looked at Jecht with heavy eyes as he walked away after kissing her on the cheek. She could not let Jecht do that, he wasn't in good condition. As she was about to run for him she heard the gates outside being opened. She ran to the window alongside Collette to find that her father was entering the city. Thengise knew that she would be in trouble once he found she had gone to war, but maybe if she told him of who Eldarion really was he would call off the wedding. Thengise ran after Jecht and grabbed him by the arm before he turned the last hall. "Wait we still have hope. My father has come,"Thengise said softly hoping Jecht would not continue walking.

Jecht-You go down and meet your father, you were right, I have not the strength to fight Eldarion, I will return to my room and watch from my window.
Thengise-I finally agree with what you say, Jecht[she gave him a hug and walked down the hall and out to meet her father with Collette following close behind. Jecht had turned to watch her leave. Once he was sure she had gone, his eyes hardened and turned back toward the chambers of Eldarion. He trudged up to the oak doors and grasped hold of his sword. there were no guards as they had all gone to greet the Elven Prince. He kicked open the doors and found that Eldarion had been waiting for him.
Eldarion-I wondered when you would get here? War didn't kill you, but I will!
Jecht-Not likely you cruel b*****d!

Jecht and Eldarion drew their swords at practically the same time. Jecht swung his sword wildly at Eldarion's pointy head. He missed and Eldarion rounded on himand attempted to plunge his sword into Jecht's back. Jecht turned around and kicked Eldarion in the stomach hard and sent him to the floor. Eldarion sprung up and weiled his sword toward Jecht. Jecht brought his sword to meet Eldarion's and they clashed in the middle. The swords went back and forth, crossing each other many times. Jecht was growing incredibly weary. Eldarion sensed this and knocked the sword from Jecht's hand.
Eldarion-You're dead now...
Jecht-Mistaken identity[he said as he smirked, Eldarion looked puzzled for a minute and then a look a realization passed over his face. For when he looked down he saw a large knife sticking out of him. Jecht stood up and pushed Eldarion onto the floor. Jecht was exhausted, he picked up one of the swords and leaned on the handle like it was a cane. He slowly stalked over to a chair and collapsed into it. He shut his eyes, just in rest, not sleep for he was very aware of what was going on around him. In fact he could hear some one running down the hallway, he thought about getting up to go see who it was, but he possessed not the strength...

Thengise went down with Collette to greet her father. Legolas rode in on his horse, but jumped down as he saw his daughter coming out of the fortress. "Thengise?!! Where have you been?"Legolas said as he examined his daughter to make sure she was fine. "I...I ran away and decided to fight in the battle,"Thengise said softly as she looked up at her father. "You decided to go to war?!!! You had me worried sick!"Legolas replied as he now saw some scars on her face. "I'm sorry father,"Thengise said softly looking to the ground. Legolas looked at his daughter, then relief came over him and he embraced Thengise. "Why did you run away?"Legolas now said softly as he drew back.

"Well, the truth is I.... didn't want to marry Eldarion."
"But he is a noble man, I know I didn't really give you a choice, but you don't exactly love anyone."
"Eldarion is not who you think he is."
"How so,"Legolas asked with confusement. "He is an evil man! He treats Thengise like dirt and beats her!"Collette broke in. Legolas looked outraged."Is this true,"he said looking at Thengise. Thengise simply nodded and lifted her sleeves to reveal her bruises. "And the truth is I love another,"Thengise said bravely. Legolas was still shocked at the news of Eldarion. "Who,"Legolas finally asked, yet at that moment King Elessar and a lot of other men came out to greet the prince. Thengise saw that now was n't the best time to say who. "I'll tell you later,"she said softly before heading back into the fortress to go check on Jecht.

Thengise and Collette entered Jecht's room, but found it empty. Thengise began to run to Eldarion's room as she realized Jecht had lied. She threw open the door and was shocked at the sight before her. Eldarion lay helpless on the floor with a knife in his side, while an exhausted Jecht sat in a chair. Thengise ran to Jecht and wrapped her arms around him. "Jecht why must you be so stubborn?"she said worriedly. "I'm only as stubborn as you,"he said with difficulty. "Oh, you shouldn't of done that. What are you going to do if they find out what you did to the prince?"she asked as tears began to run down her face.

Jecht-I do not fear what my future holds Thengise. At least, your won't be darkened by him.[he said as heavy footfalls were heard from outside. Aragorn and Legolas had come and Aragorn was shocked at the sight. legolas rushed over to Thengise and pullled her away as though Jecht were a violent murderer ready to strike at any minute. Aragorn held Eldarion to him for a moment and realized that Eldarion was dead. He stood up and returned to Legolas' side.
Aragorn-What happed here? Who is responsible for this?
Jecht stepped foward with great difficulty
Jecht-It was I, My king.
Aragorn-Why? My son...you killed him!
Thengise-My lord! It is not---[Thengise tried to say before Legolas pulled her back]

The king thought to himself. He would've done the same, but how could he leave the man be, while his son and heir of Gondor lay dead on the floor. "It's true, but you yourself deserve proper punishment and the only proper punishment for a murderer is death,"the king said as tears gathered in his eyes from the sight of his dead son and the guilt he himself contained.

Thengise went pale at the very word of death. Her eyes looked empty and lifeless. "I'm sorry captain, but for the time being you are sentenced to death in a mere week,"the king continued. After that being said Thengise felt herself go cold as she fainted and fell to the floor.

Later that day, Thengise came to see him in the guise of a commoner.
Jecht-Thengise, I wish you had not come.
Thengise-Jecht, I love you and I don't think I can bear life with you not in it.
Jecht-Your life must go on, even if mine doesn't. You told me once that I have much to live for, so do you. Meanwhile....

Collette was shut up in her room. It would be so, that she would prove that she wasnt nearly as worthless, clubsy and stupid as many thought her to be. Lying upon her bed, she suddenly tied her hair back in a ribbon and began to devise a plan of havoc and distress that would get Jecht and Thengise to safety.
She grinned in a maniacle manner and raced downstairs to get some supplies...

Jecht sat in his cell. Sometimes he would hum the song to himself. It gave him a small hope and take him away, however brief, to a happier place and time. He had not eaten since they brought him here. What was the point? he thought. He wondered how many days had passed, for there was no window in his cell. The only light was from the torches which were always lit. Then one day or night, Jecht certainly didn't know, Aragorn came to his cell. He looked tired and grave, Jecht merely looked up at him.
Jecht-I understand your anger, my king. I would have done the same as you.
Aragorn-Speak not like that, you do not know of my loss.
Jecht-Oh but I do, my king[he said standing up]I know much of your loss. She is more beautiful than the summer, her eyes glisten like the stars. Her voice enchants my mind. She brings light to the dark corners of my very soul. Since the day, you felt your loss of your son, I have felt mine of my love. I welcome the death which you are so swiftly bringing, for every moment I am apart from her, I am in agony, the torment in my heart has surpassed any other I have ever felt. My King, I know indeed of the type of loss you have suffered.
Aragorn-Little comfort it is to me. If you say that you did what you did out of madness, that the war had made you snap, I might be able to allow you to live, for the people share my anger as well. They will not understand but say it was the war,and that the people will understand. Say it wasn't for her...

Jecht just smiled at him
Jecht-It was for her...that is all I will ever say. I was fully aware of what I was doing. It was all for her...

Aragorn left in frustration and Jecht slid back to the floor...

Collette ambled about the kitchen, unseen at the waist of the many chefs.
For a distaction, she slipped in type of baking soda into the pot of boiling water over the large cooking fire. it bubbled over, to the cooks' distress, as they all went to calm the seething broth, she snatched from their tables, an apron full of ingredients and unshered herself out, without ever being noticed.
In her room once more, she would be seen, melting the ingredients together in a bowl, and wrapping it in red candle wax.
She cackled like a hobbit gone mad ( though she always had had a few screws loose anyways)
and triumphantly held her creations in the air as Thengise walked in somberly.

Earlier that week

Thengise was dragged back to Legolas by his own guards. "Thengise, talk to me,"Legolas said worriedly. "I have nothing to live for,"she said sadly as she layed down on her bed and closed her eyes. "Do not say such things! You have Mirkwood and your people to live for. You have Collette to live for and you have....me to live for,"Legolas said as a tear ran down his face. Thengise did not notice this as her eyes remained shut. "How can I live without love?.....Without Jecht?"she said softly as tears ran down her own face. Legolas said nothing but turned and left the room in silence.

Thengise had not eaten for a whole week as the seventh day arrived. She hadn't spoken to anyone since the conversation with her father either. She lay in her bed still with her face stained with tears. She looked up as she saw the sun pouring in throught a small opening in the window. The elf gathered all her strength and lifted herself off her bed and out her door. She opened the door to the next room to find Collette holding some kind of explosive in her hand. "Please Collette, do not try to do anything,"Thengise forced herself to say though it came out in a whisper.

Jecht had gotten restless, he began to pace in his cell. Then a guard came over to him
Guard-You're to have a final meeting with the King...
Jecht-[under his breath]like it'll help me any.

Jecht and the guard took an underground passage. On the way Jecht saw Collette running like the crazy little hobbit she was.
She noticed him though he was just a shade of what he used to be. She stopped and just stared a moment. The guard and Jecht continued to walk for a little bit and then they walked up a few stairs and Jecht found that they were in the throne room. Aragorn was seated and Legolas stood next to him. Other than that the room was empty, and then the guard left.

Aragorn-Legolas tells me that his daughter suffers because of you.
Jecht-I knew not.
Legolas-Well she does[he sounded hurt and a bit confused] She has not eaten for a week.
Jecht-She does so of her own free will.
Legolas-Jecht, I know you are an honorable man. I know that you would rather die than lose your honor. But I implore you to leave Gondor, leave.
jecht-What about Thengise?
Legolas-If she loves you, perhaps she will follow.
Jecht-[turns to Aragorn] You would allow me to leave?
Aragorn-Legolas has told me of the true nature of my son, yes, I would allow you to leave.
Jecht-Then I will.

When Jecht snuck away it was night. He rode beneath Thengise's window. He fired an arrow with his message and rode off into the cold night....

Thengise lay awake in her bed wondering if there was any hope left for Jecht. An arrow with a note struck the wall as it flew in through her window. She looked confusingly at the arrow, which was stuck in the wall. Thengise quickly got up and pulled the note from the arrow. It was from Jecht and she held her breath as she read it.

She looked out the window as she finished reading to find fresh prints on the floor. She felt her energy slowly returning as happiness flowed through her body. He was free. She looked to her chair and quickly pulled on a dark green cloak. Thengise ran out her room and down the halls until she reached the entrance, which was surrounded by guards. She looked to the Great Hall, which had a single open window. The air outside was cool on her face as she climbed out of the window. "Arien,"she whispered as she drew closer to the stables. A white horse came galloping towards her. "Noro lim,"she whispered in it's ear as she jumped onto the horse. The white horse ran swiftly throught the path, which Jecht's horse had left.

Arien slowed down as she heard the crackling of a fire. Thengise quietly jumped off and looked around a tree to find a man sitting by a fire. The man's face was illuminated as the flame rose. Thengise ran to the man as she realised it was Jecht. Jecht looked up smiling as if having been waiting for her. he stood up as Thengise threw her arms around him. "I knew you would come,"he whispered softly in her ear. "Oh Jecht I would've gone to my death if you would have been killed,"she whispered softly before wrapping an arm around his neck as she lost herself in a deep kiss.

Collette jumped awake after hearing a sickening thud against the wall in the bedroom beside hers. Looking out the window, she saw Jecht riding away. In all her happiness, there was still a hint of remorse. All those explosives wasted!
Five minutes later she witnessed Thengise riding off after him. She tried to scream out, but had no will. The bitter curse of love had finally bewitched her, and henceforth drove her to leave a friendship behind.
Collette supposed they would go off together and live happily ever after. Happy for them- dreams come true for some.
And she supposed she would go back to her worthless theiving in Bree, until she was caught and hung or maybe she would die of plaugeing disease.
Either would fit such a worthless life, she thought bitterly as she packed her things, and dissapeared into the night, never to be seen again.

<< k hobbit to the rescue, im gonna save this RPG since no one is replyin>>

Collette walked along the northeastern road in a state of gloom. She was almost sure she would be lost, having left her map at home.
She re-shoudered her pack before walking on late into the night, though the sun began to rise, she still conitnued her stride.

Jecht pulled away from Thengise.
Jecht-Come on, we got a hobbit to chase after!

He gave Thengise a quick peck on the cheek. And swung onto his horse, she followed suit and soon they were racing down the plains. Jecht was in the lead, the wind rushing through his hair, the horse's hoofs pounding beneath him and the scenery rushing by. Then some metres ahead he saw a little figure. At first he thought it was a small girl, but then he realized who it was. He smiled and raced on. He pulled out a sack and rode up behind Collette and swooped her up in the bag. He stopped his horse and got down. He placed the sack on the ground and Collette fought her way out. Jecht was sitting on the ground laughing. His laugh was deep and loud. Collette looked mad enough to take on a dragon with a toothpick. She walked up to Jecht and kicked him hard when Thengise rode up...

Collette kicked Jecht where the sun dont shine.
He rolled over in pain. "How dare you? I've lived my life on the streets! When someone does that its serious to me!" She kicked him again and started to weep. "STOP IT!" thengise said, jumping off her horse. Collette picked up her pack and continued on her way. "GET BACK HERE!" thengise roared.
Collette wheeled around her face streamed with tears.
"Get back here?" She breathed. "GET BACK HERE? Now you want me back?? YOU LEFT ME ALONE! After i gave my life for your happiness- and then you left me alone, you didnt even care what happened to me becasue your too blinded by love!" she sobbed. "You have you happy ending now leave me in peace!"

OoC-uh oh, I guess I'm still in trouble with someone.

Jecht groaned and slowly stood up. He looked at the retreating back of Collette.
Jecht-Collette Took of Many Wanderings, you are not a compainion that I would toss aside, You have shown the ferocity that rivals that of dragons and a will to match, but I implore you to come with me to LothLorien where you will be greatly welcomed and rewarded for all your trials and tribulations.

Jecht stood humbly before the hobbit awaiting her reply. He saw that the yeys of the hobbit were cold on him.

Jecht- I realize that I know not of your past, and I don't presume to, I just want to express my gratitude for all that you have done...

"I have done nothing but be a hinderance- that is not worthy of recognition." she muttered.
"But if you insist..." she said trying to act reluctant. She jumped up behind Thengise on her horse and clung rather uneasily and they were off back to the White City.

They were on their way to Lorien, Jecht in the lead, although Thengise and Collette were close by. Even though Jecht had spent considerable time in Mirkwood, Lorien held a hidden chapter of his past. It held one of the few happy chapters in Jecht's life and he was glad to be returning there. The fields was covered with long blades of glittering grass and Jecht spurred his horse to a full gallop and he saw that Thengise and Collette were keeping the pace. He looked over his shoulder at them. Thengise's hair was caught in the wind and shown in the sunlight. Collette was smiling behind her. It wasn't her usual smile of mischief but that of Happiness. Jecht smiled back at them and shouted back.
Jecht-Come on you two, catch me if you can!
He laughted his deep laugh and rode faster. They tore through the plains at great speed. Then to Thengise's horror and Collette interest, Jecht had jumped from the galloping horse's back and into the long grass. The horse continued a bit and then stopped, slowly walking back towards where Jecht had jumped off. Thengise rushed over but Collette got there first and tackled Jecht. Jecht stood up and was still laughing.
Thengise-Well, you have an awful sense of humor
Collette-I like it!
Jecht-I think we've travelled enough for one day, we're in no rush. Lets rest here. The sun will set soon and then we can fix a bit of dinner.

Collette speared one of the muffins from her sack with a sharp stick and roasted it over the warm fire.
"You've gained weight" Thengise observed at her. She looked down. "So I have." she said a bit vaguely. "Your not going back to Bree are you?" she burst forth. "I miss the Shire." she said, oblivious to the fact her muffin was now on fire. Jecht reached over and pushed it out of the fire for her. "Your going back?"
"Cant. Ive got a death warrant there remember?"
"Death warrant?! You??" Jecht said, his mouth hanging in disbelief.
"Yep" Collette said, wrinkling her nose and throwing the charred muffin to the side.
"For what???"
"Its getting late." Collette said, forecing a yawn.
"'night" and crawled beneath her cloak, leaving Jecht and Thengise to themselves.

The sun had set in the far west and Jecht leaned his back up against a tree. The fire burned nicely and the night air was just cool enough. Thengise sat next to him and Jecht placed his arm around her as she rested her head on his shoulder. Coming back toward Lorien was doing him good, he thought. He had been away from it for too long. He glanced over at Collette, that crazy halfling compainion of his and he smirked. He then looked at Thengise. Her green eyes were hidden behind her closed eye lids and he could hear her breathing softly. A bird called out in the distance, but other than that the only other sound was of the fire crackling. Then Jecht heard light voices behind and above him, in the tree. The voices were fair and didn't sound threatening. Jecht listened silently. The voices were speaking in elvish. And they appeared to be discussing the people below them, which was Thengise, Jecht and Collette.
Voice1-Who are they? What are they doing here?
Voice2-Open your eyes and use them once and awhile, Faerer! I recognise one I think, but I haven't seen him in ages.
Faerer-Well, I don't recognise any of the lot, Valrue, won't you enlighten me?
then Valrue noticed that Jecht was still awake
Valrue-SSSSHHHH...come we must tell the Lady.

Jecht heard the slightest rustle of leaves and branches and then he knew they were gone. So much for surprise, he thought.

Morning rose lazily the next day, and Thengise had meant to wake Collette, but at the moment was amusing herself by watching the hobbit mumble the names of different foods into her cloak-pillow.
Jecht finally nudged her awake and laughed. They were sitting eating and (for collette) grumpily chattering and complaining when from out of nowhere, elves surrounded the group with many weapons. Instinctively, Collette flashed her dagger from its sheath and leaped in front of her friends (which are four feet taller than her- as if it wold help).
Two of them clucked in elvish and pointed at Jecht and Collette who had slipped her cloak about her earlier, as well as the hood, and they thought they were seeing Peregrin Took.

Judge Simon

Thengise had drawn a weapon as well but Jecht's hand didn't reach for a weapon. Instead he spoke to one of the elves that he recognised from the far past.
Jecht[in whatever form of Elvish that is spoken in Lorien]-Valrue, of Loth Lorien, I am a friend of old that drifted away. I wish to speak with Lady.
Valrue[same thing]-You are like a ghost to me, I remember your face but that is it. Friend or Foe, I can't recall. But you shall have your audience with the Lady.

Two of the guards and Valrue walked Jecht away leaving Thenigse and Collette. He tried to mouth to them that everything was going to be ok, but the elves hurried him along. Faerer and about 5 well armed elves were left.
Faerer[common tongue]-It isn't often that hobbits return to these woods Master Took, the Lady will be glad to see you again.

They walked Thengise and Collette into the wood as well but in a different direction than Jecht's.

Jecht and his elves soom reached the center of Lorien. Jecht remembered every tree branch. Valrue told him that the Lady was waiting for him and that if he tried anything funny, well...Valrue made his point. Jecht climbed and stairs as they wound up the tree. Until he finally reached her chamber, he seemed to hear a voice that said "Enter"

Jecht walked in to the brightly lit room and beheld Galadriel, to whom all other flowers were shamed. Jecht bowed slightly and Galadriel came to him.
Galadriel-It has been long, Jecht, I almost thought you weren't going to come back.
Jecht-I keep my promises, you know that. Are you sure that what you're going to do is the right thing, even Valrue has no memory of me. What if they don't trust me?
Galadriel-They will, they will, don't worry now

A yound blond elf came running in, whispered to Galadriel and then left.
Galadriel-Your friends, have entered the center of the city. Before meeting them , perhaps we should give you a new wardrobe.

Jecht looked a bit confused and Galadriel led him to another room. As she shut the door leaving Jecht alone, he looked around the room. Folded neatly on the chair was a fullset of clothes. Jecht changed into them. They fit perfectly. Jecht looked in a mirror and almost didn't recognise himself. He was clad in a silken silver shirt, dark black pants and boots, on his belt was a new sword with a sheath with silver engravings. His hair was no longer woild and his face had grown fairer. Lastly Jecht put on a long black cloak. It was so light. He looked like a elven prince of old. He returned to Galadriel's chamber and she motioned for him to take a seat next to her. An elf was standing close by holding a circlet of silver. Galadriel took it and placed it on Jecht's head.
Galadriel-You are ready for the challenge of caring for Lorien when I have passed.

She said softly as Thengise and Collette arrived.

OoC-OK you guys can definatly start back further, you know coming into Lorien and such, hate for you to think I'm power posting. BTW I'd like it if you guys didn't recognise him for a little bit...

<<gasp!>>

"It isn't often that hobbits return to these woods Master Took, the Lady will be glad to see you again." Collette opened her mouth in a bewildered manner, but refrained for she whole-heartedly was convinced the elf was insane.
They were led through many identical corridors, of silverish gray glowing with paintings upon the walls of gorgeous elf princesses and valiant battles that jumped out as if they were real.
They were informed that they were to meet Galdriel and the Lorien heir.
Entering the room, Collette felt belittled in size and fairness by much. She was sure even Thengise felt similar.
"Princess of Mirkwood" Galdriel said, gracefully beconing her to a chair. Thengise bowed with equal grace and took a seat. Collette stood uneasily before the queen, but she smiled like she knew her. "I was wondering when you'd be visiting me" she said. Collette let out a sigh of relief. "Master Peregrin"
"WHAT? im not a boy!"
From the corner of her eye she saw the elven prince working very hard at restraining his hysterical laughter, the way someone she knew used to do....
Collette's eyes went wide at him.
"How come you didnt tell us?" she asked.
"What that they thought you were your own uncle?"
"YOUR A PRINCE! AN HEIR!"
Thengise raised her eyebrows "Do you two know each-"
But her own eyes widened as she finally recognized his grin.
"JECHT!"
"Your not Peregrin" the lady said, throughly confused.
"Im his neice" she said, throwing back her hood and revealing her tangled locks of curls.

Jecht-Surely, My Lady, you knew that that wasn't Master Pippin, I mean, look at her nose.[Jecht said as he leaned into one side of his chair]

Collette looked like she would spit posion at Jecht. He laughed again.
Jecht-I am only kidding, Collette has rivaled her relation in bravery. She is one of my honorable and dear compainions.
Galadriel-[in Jecht mind]But there is one dearer to you still[out loud] Forgive me young hobbit, I didn't mean to confuse you, won't you please sit down.

Collette looked relived and went to sit next to Thengise. And there they told in full of their journies and adventures. Galadriel was impressed with them all but especially the little hobbit.
Galadriel-Tonight, when the sun sets we will have a great feast in your honor. Please excuse me for now I have some matters to which I must attend.

Galadriel departed leaving them alone.
Collette-Jecht! Why in the world didn't you tell us?
Jecht-I wasn't sure if I was ready to handle such a life as this...

Thengise looked at Jecht starry eyed. She was still shocked, yet the surprise would actually be in favor for their love for each other. "I understand, it can be quite hard to have such duties, yet in the end you will realize it will all be well worth it. Especially when you see how your people have benefited,"Thengise said softly as she thought of Mirkwood. "And if it helps, I know you can handle it,"Thengise continued with a soft smile.

She looked around at the forest. She had visited Lothlorien as a child a couple of times with her father, yet it had been quite some time ago. Still, it remained as she had last seen it. Beautiful and glowing was this forest. She turned her gaze back at Jecht, whom seemed to belong to his new wardrobe and title. He was truly the perfect prince for Lothlorien.... and Mirkwood she thought to herself.

Two elves came forward into the chamber. "Come we shall escort you two to your rooms, where we have provided you with fresh clothes for the feast tonight,"one of the elves said, meaning Collette and Thengise. The two girls bowed before the heir of Lothlorien and followed the two elves. Collette was lead into a room by one of the elves and Thengise was taken to another room, which was a bit further down the hall.

The room was quite large, like her own room in Mirkwood. There were beautiful carvings of trees and leaves around her in the room. She looked to the bed where a white flowing gown lay.

Jecht stayed seated after they had left. Lost in thought, he played with the slight beard that was growing on his chin. An elf entered
Elf-Sir, Can I get you anything?
Jecht seemed to come back to life and stirred.
Jecht-No, no thanks I'm fine.
He got up and walked into the hallway, the elf following behind.
Jecht-And who are you, that you should want to follow me around like a shadow?[he said, but there was a kind tone in his voice]
Elf-Sir, I have heard of you, and your adventures in Mordor. I have respect for you and wish to become a squire to you.
Jecht smiled
Jecht-Thanks good and well, but I need to be alone for right now.

The young elf bowed and left Jecht alone. He walked out into the vast forest of Lorien. The air always seemed to be filled with a song. Jecht set his hand against a tree and stared off into the distance. He chuckled lightly to himself. A little admirer of his exploits. He would have to find out the name of the elven lad. He pushed the runaway hairs out of his face. His bristley hair had grown out longer and the silver haris were slowly disappearing. Jecht turned around and made his way back to the elven city of Lorien. Many were busy preparing for the feast later in the evening.

Thengise changed into the elegant, flowing, white gown. She braided two small parts of her hair, which she put up, leaving leaving the rest of her hair to flow down her back and over her shoulders. She washed her face with fresh water. Her rosy cheeks glowed in the light. On her head she wore a circlet of silver, which resembled entwining branches. She looked out the window to see the sun beginning to set, which meant the feast would soon begin. She took a quick look at herself before opening the door and walking out into the hall.

She walked down the hall and entered the great dining hall, which was already beginning to fill up with the elves of Lothlorien. At one end of the grand table sat the Lady Galadriel, at the other was Lord Celeborn. Thengise took her seat to the left of Galdriel. Collette sat next to Thengise. The hobbit was already telling the elves of their adventure. Thengise smiled, but her eyes strayed to the figure which had just entered the door. It was Jecht, he took his seat to the right of Galadriel and across Thengise. The guests had grown silent as Jecht took his seat. Thengise silently raised her green eyes to Jecht's. A soft smile spread across her face as he lifted his own eyes to hers.

The sounds of merriment began again and Collette resumed telling of her adventures to the elves. They smiled knowingly and laughed at all of Collette's jokes. Jecht remained silent. He had much on his mind. He had caught the smile from Thengise and returned it. Galadriel rose from her seat and as she crossed towards Celeborn, she placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. It seemed to calm him. Jecht's heart seemed to become lighter. He got up and excused himself from the table. He gave a look to Thengise that seemed to ask her to follow him. He walked away from the feast and into the silent forest.

Thengise took her leave from the feast as she excused herself from the table. She followed Jecht a couple of feet away as he walked through the halls and out into the silent forest. Jecht stopped at a small clearing by a little stream. The trickling of the water seemed to provide the forest with a soothing lullaby. Thengise stopped in front of Jecht. She looked up to the sky and gazed at the gifts of Varda as they shined through the blanket of the dark blue sky. After a moment of silence, she fixed her gaze back on Jecht who seemed to be watching her. "What is on your mind?"Thengise asked softly as she searched his eyes.

Being the spy that Collette is, she had caught every gesture and movement of Jecht and Thengise at the table that night. She was aware of what would happen and smiled in the prospect of it.
The elves, who were expecting yet another pun from the curious looking hobbit, crazy she was, but an amusement as well. That was all she was to them. A lower being that would provide amusement. At that thought, Collette excused herself from the table and trasped off to her room.

"Whereever mercinary work calls" Collette answered.
"Arent you going to stay for-"
"The wedding?" Collette finished for her.
"Yes" Thengise said, raising her eyebrows and wondering how she knew.
"No. Im not, but i will visit in a few years. I should like to see your children." Collette smiled. She hugged Thengise tight (well, her waist anyways) and gave Jecht a hearty handshake and walked away into the night. Thengise and Jecht had reached the Lady Galadriel. They both noticed a tall elegant women standing next to her in a midnight blue cloak. Her face was not shown, for it was shadowed off. The elven girl had her cloak tightly around her so really nothing of such could be seen. Galadriel looked at Jecht and Thengise. She smiled gracefully. 'Thengise,' she began, 'You have a visitor!' The woman walked up to Thengise. She slowly lowered her cloak and her long blond hair fell to her sides. Her green eyes glittered in the light. 'Hello Thengise!' the woman spoke softly and smiled. 'Elle! Oh my what are you doing here?' Thengise was very surprised to see her elven friend Elrie (Elle for short). 'What, not happy to see me?' Elle said sarcasticly. They both laughed and hugged on another. 'So this is the lucky man aye?' Elle said looking at Jecht. Thengise grasped his hand, 'Yes this is my fiance Jecht.' Jecht smiled at Elle and said 'Hello.' Elle smiled and shook his hand. 'He's pretty handsome!' Elle whipered to Thengise.

Thengise quickly turned for Calentauriel was the name given to her by the elves, which meant Lady of the Greenwood. It was the name she was most referred to as, though her first name was indeed Thengise. She turned to find an elf maiden standing in the corner. Thengise smiled as she recognized the elf. <<moahah! lulu, t'will not be long before we cause destruction and mayhem. Ah! how i savor these words..>>

Collette was nearing her half-way mark to the ending of her final trek back to her acclaimed homeland.
It had been a week since she left Jecht and Thengise, and she missed them sorely.
She made camp sullenly an three hours after sunset, she had forced herself to stop.
There, afront the flickering firelight, she pretended they were there laughing at the ghost of jokes that Jecht had once made, she relived.
Her soft laughs were choked off by two large and ambling hands that sqeezed her throat shut tightly. She sturggled against them, aimlessly grouping for her dagger.
The cloaked figure laughed and took pleasure from watching her struggle helplessly and threw her to the ground to give her a precious few mercy-breaths.
Collette rolled across the forest floor and gasped for air, and from surpise and sudden fear. The cloaked entity stood, it was undiscernable.
"Thengise! help me!" she screamed over and over again, hoping to the gods someone might hear, and they did.
By chance, a rider was upon the path that night and heard the distressed shrieks of a murder being commited. In all haste, the elf-rider rode as quickly as possible back to where he had seen Thengise last, Lorien (being princess, people, as well as your own kind usually know what your up to, a constant peeve of Thengise's).
The man bound her wrists, and gagged her mouth tight.
He lauhged at her tears as his short, keen blade totured her forearms open, he twisted the blade about in a circle with the flesh of her inner arm, making her scream and writhe in agony against the bondage upon her mouth.
He laughed loudly again and pulled from his cloak a large granite stone from whch he commenced to slam and grind it into her skull with deep sickening crunches.
But the valar showed no mercy for this poor hobbit, she was still alive.
Her entire body throbbed with pain, her blood drenched- now unrecognizable head lolled from side to side, and he took pity for the creature.
"Evil prevails. It always has and will.Your petty body will hang from the gates in a warning to this" he growled.
Collette lifted herself, with all the strength she could muster and uttered her last proud words that no one ever heard : "All you need is love" and he slit her throat, mercy, sweet mercy, and she died.
The trek that took Collette a week took the rider a mere two hours before he staggered up into the palace and hammered on the princesses door before letting himself in. "The halfling is in mortal danger" was all he had to say before Jecht and Thengise were clambering on mail over their pajamas, but they were too late.

She looked at Jecht's face which was also streamed with crystal tears. Yet as Thengise sat there, her sadness turned into anger, and soon into hatred. She wanted more than anything now to take vengeance of the one who killed the friend whom she loved dearly.

"You're right,"Thengise said as tears continued to run down her face. She looked towards Collette. "We must take her back with us. She deserves a proper funeral. Though I fear nothing I do can ever be enough for her,"Thengise continued. "She did so much for me and yet she's the one who pays with her life. I wish it could've been me instead of her,"Thengise said as sadness began to tear at her heart.

"No," Jecht sadi pulling Thengise close to him "Don't say that, your friend has not died in vain and we will not let her murderer live long, we will find him or whoever this is, come on lets take her back"

Jecht gave Thengise a light hug and turned back to pick up Collette. Before picking her up, Jecht placed his cloak over her. He looked over at Thengise and mounted his horse. Together they slowly rode back towards Lorien. At the boarders they were met by a entourage. They looked down at the small bundle and knew what had happened. As they rode through the forest, the elves began to sing a low bitter-sweet song for Collette...

Mele ran up to Thengise and Jecht. She saw that Collette was in Jecht's bloody arm's. Mele touched Collette's lifeless body. "My heart shall weep until it sees thee again, rest well," she said softly. Mele sobbed infront of Jecht and Thengise, she felt embarrassed to be crying infront of them. She turned to Thengise, who held her head high. Mele wanted to give her a hug but she refused any pity from anyone, even her friends. She turned away, she was not offended, she understood. As Jecht and Thengise walked away, Mele's eyes teared up once again bombarding her face with straining tears.

They buried Collette that morning in all the grandery of a Elvish princess. Galadriel came for she had grown fond of the little hobbit. The sun crept over the mountains and shown through filling the forest with a golden light. Many wept, Thengise cried silently into Jecht's shoulder. She was dressed in black attire. He wore rough clothes and a black cloak. He had pulled his hiar back except for a few small strands that were to stubborn to stay. Jecht did not weep openly. He face was like stone, but his insides were swept with inner turmoil. The elves sang their song for Collette one last time. It echoed through the forest and then they departed, though Thengise stayed. Jecht couldn't. He told one of his friends that he was going out for a ride and might not be back till night fall. He saddled up and rode out into the wild wood. The sun was high in the sky and the forest was full on life. The sun filtered through trees and it warmed Jecht and lightened his heart. He heard a snap behind him. Jecht twisted around in his saddle and looked down the path he had just come down. His eyes darted from side to side but saw no one. He turned back around and continued a few more paces when the attack came from above...

Elle followed Thengise and Mele silently, watching tears of sorrow stream down their fair faces. Elle finally spoke 'Do not cry. Your hobbit friend is in a better place now. I know how you feel, I have lost many of my dearest friends in battle but I do not cry, I just know that I will be seeing them very soon.' Elle smiled at them and walked down to the hobbits grave. On her way she picked some flowers out of a near by garden a tied them up to make a bouqie. Elle placed the fair flowers on the dug up soil. 'Maybe we will meet soon, I would be gratefully honored.' Elle smiled and walked back to Mele and Thengise.

Ok, thanks.
Zohariel watched the small funeral with great interest. It seemed to be a small Hobbit person they were burying. The usual kind of funeral; lots of tears and flowers.
Pathetic. Just pathetic. If I were to creep up and kill one of them now, they would not fight well. Hmm...
She crept further, until she was standing almost in full view of the party. She had been drawn to the funeral by the unmistakable scent of the dead.
Hey...what's the use of being a Necromancer if you don't ever use your life bringing powers? Why don't I bring the corpse back to life...just for the hell of it. Give them all a fright, and serve them right too. Rich snobs.
She needed to know the name of the corpse though. As luck would have it, the one dressed in fine clothes...the girl elf...said it.
Honestly. Dumb speech. 'We will never forget you Collette'. How sad. Collette. Right.
She was just about to do her spell when one elf, a tall male, ran straight at her. She grabbed the nearest tree and threw herself into the top branches.
***
Later, when Zohariel was sitting in the treetops idly whistling and playing with her knife, scraping her initials into the bark and carving heads out of wood, she heard a loud clatter from below. She leant over, and through a gap in the dense canopy in the leaves, she noticed the same male from earlier riding below. She grinned wickedly, noticing also a large pouch hanging from his belt. She unsheathed her rusty sword, took up her cudgel and swung down into his face.
He and the horse were taken utterly by surprise. The horse bucked him off, and he lay on the ground, dazed. Before he could move, Zohariel dropped down with her legs either side of his torso. She pinned his arms to the ground with her knees and sat on his stomach. He wriggled and struggled, but Zohariel waved her cudgel menacingly.
"I'm not afraid to use it. In fact, I must warn you that I'm lusting for fresh blood. Now, stay still like a good boy, and I may let you go without killing you."
The ef seemed to realise she wasn't joking. She grabbed the pouch from his belt and opened it.

As she opened the pouch, her face became shrouded with dissapointment. The pouch contained not but herbs and tobacco.
"What is this about, Elf? Where are your riched you and your race seem to be so proud of?"
Jecht sneered up at her and struggled,
"No elf am I, If you would drop upon people from above like a vulture then you deserve no reward!"
Her eyes lit with fury, no one was to talk to her that way. She struck him hard across the face. But as she did so, she lost her secure balance and Jecht was able to kick her off him and get to his feet, he drew his sword and faced her.
"What is your business here, who are you?"
"Who are you to know my own dealings?"She said.
"The future keeper of this Land demands it!"
Jecht had a fire in his eyes and the stranger sensed it...

<<Welcome Zohariel! Glad to have you with us>>

Meanwhile.....

Thengise felt embarrassed at Elle's words. She wiped away her tears so that none would notice. She looked at the grave in silence. She remembered all the great times she had had with her friend and yet there were also the sad times. She cherished both times, for either sad or joyful they reminded her of the hobbit, whom she loved as a sister. As these thoughts rushed through her head, an alarming hand was placed on her shoulder.

Thengise quickly turned and was now facing...her father,Legolas. News of Collette's death had traveled far and by chance had reached Legolas's ears. Thengise said nothing, but wrapped her arms around her father, whom she had terribly missed. Her sadness once again overwhelmed her and she began to quietly cry into his shoulder. Legolas understood his daughter's pain and quietly stroked her hair. "She will rest in peace now. Be glad that she will not have to live on the streets anymore. She lived a glorious life. Of her there will be many songs for which to tell,"he whispered softly. Thengise knew he was right and slowly nodded as she stepped back, wiping her tears away once more.

Zohariel pulled out her rusty sword with a sharp scraping noise. She took it in one hand, with her cudgel in the other, ready to run or fight.
"Zohariel Canute. Known among the rogue traders of middle earth as Vulture. You?"
"Jecht."
Zohariel smirked slightly. She flicked her eyes to the sky. Then again. Was the age-old trick going to work? She flicked her eyes to the treetops once more. Yep. Got them everytime. Jecht followed her gaze, and before he could move, Zohariel ran forward and rammed her shoulder into his stomach. He fell back down and she ran off, laughing loudly.
I'll find the other one. The girl. She looked rich enough.
She sheathed her sword and looked behind to see if the elf was coming after her. Crap. He was.

"Idiot"
Jecht thought to himself
"Tricks every time, when will I learn?'
He ran after her, she ran like the wind and Jecht was having a time keeping up with her. As he was running he noticed a few stones that were of a good size he picked them up and stuck them into his pouch then he shut it. Swinging the pouch above him he swung the pouch foward with considerable strength. The pouch flew low to the ground and through a bit of luck, wrapped around the intruder's ankles and she fell. Jecht ran and fell to the ground pressing his knee against her chest pinning her the forest floor. Jecht brought out a knife and held it a few inches away from her throat.
"Not so much fun down there is it?" he said very out of breath. The girl seemed to be too, and also seemed to have had the wind knocked out of her. She still had her previous arrogance in her eyes, and jecht didn't feel like dealing with it. He had come into the woods to clear his head not to fight some half starved girl. He stood back up and rested his back on a nearby tree. The girl laid where she was apparently trying to regain her breath as well. Then she spoke...
"What are you waiting for, Elf? Why don't you finish me off?"
Jecht threw the small knife into the ground
"I'm not a murderer, and I'm also not an elf"
Zohariel rolled her eyes and sat up. She untangled the pouch from her ankles and stood up. Jecht was rubbing his shoulder were Zohariel had rammed him.
"I hope it hurt!" she said
"Oh believe me it does" he replied still rubbing the shoulder
"You alright?"
"None of your business, what do you care anyway?" Zohariel coldly returned.
"None of my business sure, fine,[Jecht whistles for his horse] Just looked like you could use a good rest, but, fine never mind[as his horse comes to him Jecht mounts it and unties a small coin bag from his saddle]here if thats what you wanted, not much in it, but seeing as that was all you were after[Jecht tosses the small leather bag down to Zohariel and begins to ride off]

As Jecht and Zohariel bickered and wrestled, Belleandiel Galenfan from Lorien stood back in the trees, witnessing the incident. When Jecht started to ride away from the waithed girl, Belle (as she liked to be called) Stepped out in front of him. "Not another one." Jecht audibly mumbled to himself. Belle smiled, noticing his lack of realization of who she was, and said," I live in Lothlorien, and by the looks of it, you are heading that way. Any chance you could take me there? Jecht rolled his eyes and sighed. Another new face. He turned to look back at the girl. But she seemed harmless enough now, and Jecht was eager to get back, seeing as his ride did next to nothing to calm his senses. Then he looked back to the newcomer.
"Yes, I will take you to Lorien" he said as he slid off his horse and helped the woman up.
"I don't want your money either" he said as he took the reins of his horse into his hand. Jecht took another look down the path at the girl but she had already gone. He began to lead the horse back down the path when the stranger spoke...

"You dont remember me do you?" Belle said to Jecht. "I am afraid not, am I supposed to?" Jecht asked not caring much, but thinking about Collette. Belle smiled but didn't answer and the rest of their journey was silent.
They rode along the dusty path until they reached a gate leading into the cemetary where Collette had been buried. Belle wondered why they were there and why Jecht hadn't taken her home. Jecht dismounted from the horse leaving Belle wondering. She slid down and ran after Jecht. They came into a clearing into a small graveyard obviously for royalty and nobles to be layed to rest. Belle stood next to Jecht and realized others were there. A tall blonde woman who looked somewhat familiar stood behind the others hiding her tears. Belle stepped closer and realized it was her close friend Elle. She ran to greet her smiling, but realizing her mistake, this was not a good time for this happy meeting. As she walked closer she noticed the King and Princess of Mirkwood embracing. She wondered what their business was here in this cemetery. Elle smiled and greeted her friend with much sorrow from the death of Collette. Belle glanced over to the grave at which they all stood around and read the writing:

Here lies Collette Took of Hobbiton.

Belle fell to her knees and wept. Collette was her dear friend of whom she met in the Shire a long while ago. A hand touched her shoulder. She glanced up and saw....

Thengise looked over at Jecht as he rode in. He jumped off the horse and stood quietly in solitude. Thengise's gaze strayed to the elf maiden who was also climbing off of his horse. Who might this be, she wondered. Yet the question left her mind as she watched the girl fall to her knees upon which tears of sadness began to fall. She felt pity for the girl, though she was unknown to her. Thengise slowly walked over to the girl and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "You do not weep alone. Collette was a great hobbit, though I wonder how it is you came to know her,"Thengise said as the question came back into her head.

Jecht had watched silently and noticed that Legolas was there. A bit apprehensive, Jecht walked over to him
"I did not know you were to come"
"I here rumor of a dear friends departure, of course, I was going to come, young heir." replied Legolas "You have considered your choices fully then?"
"I have"
"Does she know?"
"I haven't the heart to tell her yet"
"Well then gain the heart quickly, young Jecht, She needs to know."
"Tonight, then. I...I will tell her...tonight" Jecht finished. Legolas patted jecht lightly on the shoulder and then Jecht started toward Thengise, but then withdrew unnoticed and went back to his own chambers.

**Jecht's Room**
He sat on his bed with his head in his hands. He had to tell Thengise. He was not an elf. Not immortal, very mortal. No passage to the Grey Havens for him. He was bound to death as other men. He had to tell Thengise. He sighed and fell back onto his bed...

Zohariel looked around, making sure that dumb male was nowhere, then with a loud crow, she leapt forward and pinned Thengise's arms behind her back, twisting them painfully. The other girl gasped and tried to do something, but Zohariel struck out with her foot and caught the girl in the head, sending her rolling over. She hit her head on a stone and was still.
"Don't try and wrestle your way out of this one, miss prim. It ain't gonna work. Now, you be a good little creep and do what I say and I'll let you go." Zohariel sneered into Thengise's right ear.

Mele was watching the whole thing between this Zohariel and Thengise, behind a bush. She crept closer to get a better attack position. Once she did she leapt on to the back of Zohariel. Mele tried to get hold of the thiefs hand where she was holding a curved dagger.
Thengise rolled onto the floor and grabbed her bow and arrow, and pierced the arrow into Zohariel's shoulder. As Thengise was beginning to think that she was about to win this 'battle'. Suprisingly Zohariel didn't even flinch. She kept on thrashing at Mele who was on her back still trying to get hold of the dagger. Thengise took another arrow out of her quiver. She hope and prayed that this would slow down her thrashing around and avoid Mele getting thrown off. She aimed right at Zohariel's leg.

Belle* slowly opened her eyes and the world around her was moving and swerving. She grabbed her head, holding it in place, and stood up. When she was stabalized, she saw Thengise being held down by the same dark clothed woman she saw earlier fighting with Jecht. Belle snuck up behind the girl and counted to three. She pounced on her and they went rolling down a small hill into a shallow stream. The icy water ran down Belles back and she shivered. Belle looked around and couldn't find the girl. THUMP! The woman jumped down on top of Belle and pinned her to the ground with 2 sharp daggers. Belle writhed around tearing her clothes on the knives and stood up and drew her sword. The woman froze, looked around quickly and jumped into the trees. Thengise ran up to Belle, Mele following.

Wring their hearts....thats the way to do things.
As she stood, Thengise, Belle and Mele gathered around her.
"Who are you, and why did you attack me?" demanded Thengise.
Honestly, they think they own the whole world.
Zohariel looked at the ground and sniffed. Sounding as tearful and choked up as she could, she spoke.
"I'm cold, and tired and hungry, and I just wanted some food or money. Please, oh please dont be angry, you don't know what a tough time I've had," she whinged, in a voice that (she hoped) twanged the heartstrings of every weak willed person. She slumped her shoulders and stood, snuffling quietly. Mele stepped forward.
"You still should have asked for food. We would have given it to you gladly. As it is, you've spoilt your chances."
Zohariel deliberatly cried out loud. She frowned quickly then started crying. She made no attempt to stop, just stood there dripping silently.
"No-one likes me." she said. "Not even my own mother. If she was still"- here came a fresh spout of tears- "alive!"

Jecht ran his hands through his hair as he sat up. He walked around his room for a minute and stopped in front of a mirror. He was still attired in the old clothes he had wore earlier. Not very royal like, more like he had looked when he had first laid eyes on Thengise in the pub, the night before their adventures began. He opened the oaken door and walked about the city when he ran into Thengise with her friends and the wild child, he had been fighting earlier. The young woman appeared to have been crying. She passed him by with the others, but Thengise stopped by his side.
"What's with the girl?"
"Just a traveler, in need of a rest and food"
"Hmm" Jecht replied, he looked over at the girl's retreating back and then his eyes passed over Legolas, who gave him a knowing glare. Jecht nodded and then looked down at Thengise
"I have to tell you something..."
"Can't it wait?" Thengise asked, but Jecht was already pulling her into a more secluded area of the city.
"What's wrong Jecht? Forget my name?" She said jokingly with a smile. But Jecht's solemn face and hollow eyes silenced her musical laugh.
"You remember back at the pub, when we first met, when I promised to protect and to serve only you, then you told me that we were to be friends and that thickness of blood did not matter," Jecht said staring deep into her eyes, she nodded and she began to feel troubled. Jecht took a shaky breath and continued, "Oh but Thengise, it does matter, it does. You knew I was not a full elf, but only half of one. I am not allowed to board a ship at the Grey Havens. I am not granted eternal peace. You have greater privilage than I, and I do not want to be the one to keep you from that. I do not wish it and neither does your father. Blood does matter Thengise, it does..."

Thengise looked hard into Jecht's eyes. She broke their eye contact as she looked out at the stars, which were beginning to shine through the blanket of night sky. "I do not wish to board a ship at the Gray Havens nor to have eternal life, for it will not be in peace. I took this upon myself since the day we first kissed beneath the stars, when I told you I would stay with you until the end. I know it's not what you would like to hear of me, but either way I am doomed to die. For at your death my heart will be terribly pained. I met my doom since the day you came out from behind the shadows back at the pub.....but I am glad of it,"she said softly, yet there was a hint of sadness in her voice.

Zohariel noticed a face in the darkness. Wiping away her tears, she crept over to stand behind it. It seemed to be an elf, a male, incredibly tall with long blond hair.
"Who- who are you?" she whispered, but he must have heard, for he swung round to face her.

<<sure, I'll try>>

Legolas spun around upon hearing a girl say,"Who- who are you?" He turned so that he now faced the girl. A bit caught of guard he stepped back a bit. He looked at the girl who wasn't wearing proper clothes of any sort, for they were mostly torn and dirty. Her face was a bit red from the fake tears she had just shed. He had never seen this girl before and yet she knew not who he was. It appeared to him that she wasn't from around there. "Who are you?"he asked in return instead of answering himself. He began to finger his bow as he waited for her answer, for he was not sure whether this girl was good.

Zohariel watched the Elf fiddle with his bow. She got on the defensive and took up a battle position, with a hand closed firmly round the rusted hilt of her sword.
"I asked you first," she growled. "Now be nice." The Elf seemed undaunted by her attitude, and simply bowed his head to her.
"I am King Legolas of Mirkwood," he said. Zohariel made a face like there was a bad smell under her nose and tossed her head backwards.
"Zohariel," she said, and spat just in front of the King's feet. "Like you care."
Legolas was amazed by this girl's lack of manners, and the way she seemed to decide someone's opinion on her before they even spoke.
Zohariel meanwhile, was trying not to stare at the Elf; he was so beautiful, and though Zohariel, when washed and dressed neatly, might look somewhat striking, she wasn't beautiful. But she knew a beautiful person or thing when she saw one.

He looked up at the night sky. The stars shining like beautiful diamonds. Legolas looked back down at the girl who still remained unmoved. "Well then Zohariel what is your business in the Golden Wood, besides assuming what you do not yet know,"he asked questioningly.

Mele looked at Thengise's face,an expression she has not seen before on Thengise, grief. "What's wrong?" Mele asked worriedly. "Nothing, nothing at all,I'm fine don't worry," Thengise said while straightening herself.

Thengise looked at her confused friend and forced a smile. "I'm fine Mele, don't worry,"Thengise said once more. She looked over at Jecht and saw the bitter sadness in his eyes, yet she could also detect a hint of happiness.

"Well, you two should come with me. The Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn are about to dine and they wish us to be there, especially you two. Your father should also be joining us soon,"Mele said, looking at Thengise. Thengise nodded, as did Jecht, and silently they followed Mele through the woods of Lorien. Jecht and Thengise walked together behind Mele, their hands clasped.

Soon enough they had reached the center of the woods. They entered the dining chamber, which was lit with the radiance of the elves of the light. The Lord and Lady sat at one end of the table together. Elle and Belle also sat there among some other elves. Jecht took a seat besides Galadriel, and Thengise took one next to him. Mele sat next to Thengise, yet there was still someone missing.

"Legolas, shall be meeting us later. Come now let us eat,"Celeborn stated as he silenced the chatting elves. Soon there was a great amount of merriment at the table. The chatting elves sounded like an unending song. Thengise ate quietly, as did Jecht. She lifted her eyes to Galadriel who seemed to be watching the solemn couple. The Lady turned her gaze to Jecht.

"A new sadness I see has taken you. And indeed it is most unfortunate to lose both of you to old age, but do not take it upon yourself to be grieved. You two were after all meant to be. She is also grieved to forsake her immortality, but she would not have it any other way. Her stubborness is thicker than any precious stone. Rejoice and be happy for you have yourself a grand treasure, as does she,"said Galadriel to Jecht, yet it was in his thoughts that she spoke to him.

His eyes were shut and his head gently swayed while she spoke to him. Once she had finished speaking to him, Jecht seemed to recompose himself and regain his senses,as he took a long look in the Lady's direction. He looked down at his food, but he felt no hunger. He quietly excused himself and left the table. Thengise watched him but before she could make move to follow, Legolas left the table. Jecht ran deep into the forest. He ran until he came to a stream flowing silently out of Lorien, where he collapsed onto his knees and wept. He was out of breath and had trouble regaining it when he felt a hand alight onto his shoulder. He drew in a deep breath and looked up ward. It was Legolas, his eyes seemed different from when he had seen him in Gondor. It seemed ages ago. He bent low to look Jecht in the eye....

Zohariel tried to search out the Elf's feelings, but found some strange blockage.
"You guard your feelings, Elf. My business is my own. Where are you headed?"
Without waiting for an answer, she turned and walked off, hoping for him to follow. He did, and Zohariel realised she was heading for Lady Galadriel's palace.

Thengise watched Jecht leave the table. She was about to get up when she noticed that her father had followed him. She turned back to her plate, which was still the same as it had been when first served. She looked around the table and listened silently as the other elves spoke of their lives and families. They all seemed content and joy seemed to fill the room, yet still she sat and waited.

Legolas had followed the girl to Galadriel's Palace, for he remembered he needed to attend the Great Dinner. As he neared the dining hall, he looked around to realize that the strange girl had disappeared, but he had no time to waste. He entered the dining hall and was seated at the other end of the table.

He took a quick glance up at Thengise and Jecht. Judging by their state of grief and confusion, he realized that Jecht had finally told his daughter the truth. Silently he watched the two as they remained unmoved. Suddenly Jecht excused himself and walked out. Legolas knew he had to talk to him and so he followed. Quickly he ran through the forest as he tried not to lose the sound of Jecht's footsteps.

Finally he found Jecht on his knees weeping by a little stream. Legolas placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. Jecht looked up at him and Legolas slowly bent low so that he was looking jecht in the eye. Legolas could see the saddness and guilt in Jecht's eyes. "Why are you so pained young heir? What did she say when you told her?"he said softly.

"She claims to not want to board a ship at the Havens, but there is a longing for it in her eyes. I don't want to bind her to Middle Earth, a place of much turmoil, she doesn't derserve that. Legolas, talk to her, tell her, I can't." Jecht gets up and begins to walk off
"Jecht! Where are you going?"
"I can't stay here anymore, I need to leave the forest!"
"Where will you go? Under the earth?"
Jecht thought for a minute
"Yes, I am. Collette was murdered by some goblin from the Moria Mines, I'm going there to avenge her, and maybe I'll die down there and Thengise can have the immortality she deserves! Legolas, tell her to not follow me, and...and...that I love her" With that Jecht whislted for his horse and rode far away into the night....
