Thought this would be good for fellow Sideshow WETA collectors (I know there are quite a few of us on this board) to discuss the collectibles.

So, if any of ya are out there let's talk! List what you've got, what you've got on order etc, what you think looks cool and discuss the upcoming lineup!

Also post some pics of your piece if you have em! It's always good to see pics from the collectors, sometimes the ones on the Sideshow site aren't so hot.

Now I don't personally own any of these sculptures, but I have seen the entire collection and they are quite beautiful. They are all movie based (the Weta part is for Weta, the special effects company for the film), and they are just very cool. My personal favorites have to be the Bilbo/Gandalf BagEnd Bookends, and the Sam and Bill the Pony sculpture.

They are in very limited editions so if you find one you like, you must pick it up quickly :cool:

I own the Sam and Bill the Pony sculpture--it is my favorite peice. Later I got a Frodo to go with them,(can't have Sam without Frodo) but the Sam and Bill are still my favorite.

LOL--I also have a peice of yellow tape with the WETA logo on it (complete with bug), which was given to me by a lady showing a pair of prosthetic hobbit feet at a childcare convention, of all places. ;)

Samwise that statue (as I have said above) has to be one of the best. I personally think that it looks most like the characters, and it shows Sam's personality just perfectly. And additionally it is just so cute! :D

It is a burl table, Gorwingel. My pastor moved to a smaller home, and asked if I wanted it. When I saw Sam and Bill at Sideshow Toys, I knew just where I would put it It reminded me of Sam and Bill being in a forest. Since that pic was taken, Sideshow's Frodo now stands beside Sam.

I agree totally about how they look, too. Their detail is amazing.:eek: And, that's not a mirror behind them--that's the box they came in--which is practically a peice of art in itself. I couldn't just throw it out.
