smilies/eek.gif Tolkien's first book or good book came out in 1937 (the Hobbit) and if you switch the last 2 digits it makes 1973 the year he died kinda wierd

Coincidence you say? Nahhh Come on, like what are the odds? Old JRR definitely had it coming..

BTW Does Spooky need a shave? smilies/evil.gif Just checkin'...

And what Picture are you talking about? O_o I don't see anything..
"annoying as hades"? Aw C'mon Elrian, show a little respect! hades isn't annoying, he's just an infernal hottie! smilies/tongue.gif

Nope, Spooky don't need a shave, if his previous owner heard that one, hmm I don't think he'd be happy. I don't think JRR had it coming it was just his time.

The real coincidence is between the year of his death and the poem of the Riongs of Power
3... for the Elf
7... for the Dwarfs
9... for the Man
1... for The Dark Lord

May it be the shadows come... smilies/smile.gif

Here's a quick formula for fun.

Cat + tape + four paws + hard-wood floor = hours of entertainment. smilies/evil.gif

What happens in 3791? Does the present Age of the Domination of Men give way to the Age of the Domination of ???????. I mean, if the Elves who seemingly had it together more than we do passed on, why not us to? Who's next? Although Tolkien says we have to be around to sing the Second Song of Iluvatar at the end of time, so may be we're ok for a while. sharon

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
If you guys are interested in spooky numbers (and not Spooky Mulder, though he is a worthy hobby indeed) check out the number 17 in connection to Nicholas II, the last Czar of Russia. Now that's what I call
scary as hell.

On the topic of spooky...no, I just have nothing to say on that topic, just wanted to contribute to the freaky little thread because...well...I'm pretty freaky.

All those year things are freaky! Haha...oh...do any of you have Enya CD's? Well, do you know the song Cursum Perficio? Well, it is based on the engraving over Marilyn Monroe's last home...It is "My journey ends here". Really close to right after she bought it, her "journey" ended there: she died smilies/frown.gif smilies/eek.gif smilies/confused.gif . I really loved Marilyn (not like I knew her...she was way before my time. My time, btw started in 1987, the year I was born).
