I don't know if this has been asked before, but does anyone know what that symbol Tolkien has is?
Did he just draw a few lines and whoops, there it was!
Or does it has some aincent, spiritual kind of meaning in anyway?

I don't know that it has any spiritual or ancient significance, and knowing Tolkien for the devout Catholic that he was, I doubt it. smilies/wink.gif It's made up of the initials of his name. You knew that, right? And it has a runic appearance, which is no surprise coming from JRRT. smilies/smile.gif

These are only his initials, if you look well, the central letter is j(which stands for J), on each sides of the J you have two R on the central J, and the upper horizontal bar is for the T. JRRT.
I don't think it has any spiritual significance, I used to have this sign on my school bag and some kids were asking what was the chinese letter. smilies/smile.gif

It's only JRRT melted together and two flowers... for beautification (is that spelled correct?) matters only...
