Looks like you're having trouble finding people... I'd volunteer, but I'm still involved with the current game of regular Werewolf.

Though if this one gets started after my current game is over, then you could count me in. (I also don't believe I'll last the whole game, as that has only happened to me once, and it was a cruel twist of fate)...\
Normally I wouldn't post something like this because I'd feel selfish and I'd want to give everyone a fair chance, but since it's so small, and needs more people I don't feel too bad about offering my self up as a victim (er...player).

On a somewhat related note, I have been feeling an urge to try modding, so I'd love to mod a WWJ game at some point in the future.

Glirdan 01-12-2006 04:21 PM

Wait, wait, wait. Hold up! Sleepy, in eastern time, rigth? If you are, than make it a sane time like 10:00pm. We have exams after all. Be mindful of that.

I'm not on your side of the ocean, friend.

Glirdan 01-12-2006 04:28 PM

Right.... Which means it's a completely different time than me which means I have some math to do.

Sleepy Ranger 01-12-2006 04:29 PM

Yea! Ka is 11 hours behind me and after some random calculations it'll be uh, about 7pm your time.

Glirdan 01-12-2006 04:34 PM

Well, that saved me some hard thinking!! Thanks!! 7pm is actually a very good time for me. But still, don't keep yourself up to late there Sleepy. You need study time for exams, unless you start the game afterwards. But, enough about that. Go over to the other Tol-in-Gaurhoth thread and post something saying that we need players.

Kath 01-12-2006 05:20 PM

I'll sign up if you want me. Aside from dead person who may possibly be asked thoughts on the roles of others I'll be playing no further part in Form's game and so am (relatively) free.

Gandalf_the _white 01-13-2006 06:54 AM

i'm game but i can't garentee (spl?) that i'll be able to come online every day though :(

Gandalf_the _white 01-13-2006 06:55 AM

and i'd like to be the villiage wizard :D :smokin:

Thinlómien 01-13-2006 07:03 AM

Gandalf
If you're just a normal villager, then you don't have to be there every day. But, if you have a special role, then you have to be. (But of course it's not that strict, but it is important that you'd try to be. Otherwise it might ruin the game, especially in the few last days.

Gandalf_the _white 01-13-2006 07:06 AM

ok i'll try my best but if i do join in this will be my first game of werewolf (be gentle :p ) but i pretty much understand the rules from what i've read

Thinlómien 01-13-2006 07:17 AM

The Werewolf Junior was first intended to those who hadn't played in a lots of games, but that isn't the case anymore. But don't worry, I, for example have playd only in one game before, so I'm nearly as unexperienced as you are. The point is just having fun :D.

Gandalf_the _white 01-13-2006 08:05 AM

thanks does anyone know when the game is going to start?

Thinlómien 01-13-2006 08:09 AM

When we're having enough people :)

Gandalf_the _white 01-13-2006 08:18 AM

lol :D ok thanks

Garin 01-13-2006 10:57 AM

I'm in as well and in the same position as Kath. Already sent PM to Sleepy.

Roa_Aoife 01-13-2006 11:12 AM

I'm an East Coaster. If the deadline is going to be 6 PM here, I'm fine, so long as I cn post anytime with in the 24 hr periods. I won't be available for the last 6 or so hours before the dealine, but I never keep normal hours so anytime before that would work just fine.

I'd like to be the Village Apothecary, if that's alright.

Also, all these potential rule changes have me a bit confused. Could someone lay out what exactly is happening now? Just a summary please.

Anguirel 01-14-2006 06:58 AM

My occupation will be an idealistic, chivalrous, lovelorn young squire.

I will reveal the object of my affections at some appropriate point in the game. Or possibly at my death. Until then I'll write tormented, melancholy poems...

Actually Thin, that is still true. This game is for all those beginners (sp?) who feel that playing with the higher up members would be to challenging. However, we also want some of the more experienced players playing because it kind of evens out the game.n But, there are more experienced players than there are newbies and it's probably always going to be like that.

Thinlómien 01-15-2006 10:32 AM

I'm just checking, but isn't it so that when someone who has a special role knows she/he will be away for a night period, she/he posts what she/he will do before she/ goes? (And if she/he is a wolf and there are other wolves left then they can do the desicion...)

Valier 01-15-2006 02:25 PM

Well I've met my demise in the real werewolf game, before I got really into it. So I would like to sign up for this game,if there's room.

Depending on ....the start time if someone would let me know what time that would be in Central Standard time,I might be able to join.

Anguirel 01-15-2006 03:13 PM

Welcome aboard Valier. This is a noble cause. I need my Werewolf fix.

Sleepy Ranger 01-16-2006 06:51 PM

Thats about ten we have now. I'll wait till Thursday and then start.

Valier 01-16-2006 08:59 PM

I shall be the local dog trainer, training dogs for such jobs as herding, fox hunting, guarding property etc...

Anguirel 01-17-2006 01:12 AM

Ten is very few, Sleepy. Eager though I am to begin, you should aim for twelve at least-and with all the special roles, probably fifteen...

Eomer of the Rohirrim 01-17-2006 08:54 AM

If we can only get 11 or 12 then maybe we should scrap all gifteds bar the Seer. Hmm?

Anguirel 01-17-2006 09:18 AM

I have to say...I like a few Gifteds. I'm for Baroque, elaborate detail, not back-to-basics...

Eomer of the Rohirrim 01-17-2006 09:36 AM

Says one of the few Downers lucky enough to play in the only no-frills game of Werewolf on the Downs. :p

Anguirel 01-17-2006 09:37 AM

And who was hung on the first day...! (And rightly so...)

Shelob 01-17-2006 04:23 PM

Count me in Sleepy. My computer has returned from the land of dead electronics (it was only mostly dead), so aside from having to work around school hours I'm set.

Feanor of the Peredhil 01-17-2006 04:55 PM

*raises hand*

What say you to me joining in?

I am by no means a beginner and I also happened to be one of those players in that one and only no-frills game. And unlike Anguirel (who rightly died the first day... filthy turncoat, trying to frame me), I'd love to see one played again.

I will fully understand if everybody looks at me incredulously and says something like "Go back to where you came from. You play in the big leagues. You're currently playing a narrated RPG version as both yourself and your character! What are you thinking, trying to play in WWJ?!?! You aren't wanted here."

But yeah... I'd love to get into a game now that finals are over, I'm back from break, and my teachers haven't completely loaded me with work yet. And I'd like the game to be less... stabby? Is stabby a good word? than the big ones. In those, if you disappear for an afternoon because something comes up, people lynch you. :D

I want it a bit more... fun instead of competitive.

Valesse 01-17-2006 05:13 PM

I sure hope you're counting me in... though I do not know how to play. :(

Seriously though, this will be my first WW game, so... any pointers? Other than "Have fun", because thats given with how fanatical people seem to be with.. it.

... weird that I've never played a game before, ain't it? :P

Feanor of the Peredhil 01-17-2006 05:29 PM

Val: don't trust anybody. Except me. ;)

Valier 01-17-2006 06:08 PM

I'm glad there are more players for this game. What is an "No Frills" game? I like the idea of being lenient with the posting. But I have lots of time on my hands right now. So I will try to post alot,(not too much ;) )
I do go to school but it's only one class a day.Saturdays I also have a class but I should be home an hour before votes are due. :p

Trust Fea?!? I'd die before I made that mistake! She wanted my lynched in the first WW game I played! And despite awesome playing by Fea and TORE it was I who won the game for us! >_>

I did after all have the final wolf lynched when everything hung on the balance.

Feanor of the Peredhil 01-17-2006 06:49 PM

Hey, it's not my fault that TORE was suddenly like "Hey Fea, maybe you shouldn't actually trust me. Maybe you should second guess our entire complicated bluff where you accused me, the Seer, of being the Ranger, which you were, while you decided to play the Seer to save me and most especially Jack, who you had only slightly mis-placed faith in. You should lose your trust and decide that, instead of protecting me AGAIN, you should protect the WOLF!"

Yeah, that's my fault. :p

WaynetheGoblin 01-17-2006 07:27 PM

well i would like to join this game if you put me in then i want to be an actor.

AbercrombieOfRohan 01-17-2006 08:08 PM

May I play?

Garin 01-17-2006 08:19 PM

Job title: I'll be a mere carpenter.

Glirdan 01-17-2006 09:23 PM

OOOOO! This game is going to be GOOD!!!! Grrr!!! Now I want to be in it!! Oh well, I've made a commitment!!!
