well this is soooo slow.

Glirdan 12-31-2005 06:41 PM

Once again, an explanation plus a cast out.

Explanation: I tend to disappear off the face of the earth during Christmas holidays.

And now, a quick, yet to the point cast out!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 20, which was an exceptionally long day (Christmas came up and the host kind of took an extended leave of abscence (sp?). However, he came back and finally talied the votes.

Galion - 4
Dain - 8
Beorn - 2
Necromancer - 2
Elrond - 1

Most of the votes for Dain were purely to save the drunken butler. However, there were a few complaints saying that he killed Thorin in order to usurp him of the throne and being a kinslayer. However, there was no need to ship Dain out to see. While witing for the host to come back, he sat in the same spot and died of boredom and starvation.

Contestants voted out:
Bofur
Ori
Durin (The first King Under the Mountain)
Nori
Fundin
Gandalf
Nain (father of Dain)
Bungo Bagins
Chief of Guards
Thorin
Bilbo
Golfimbul
Carc
Gollum
The Master
Dwalin
Bifur
Great Goblin
Bard
Azog
Oin
Dain

The remaining contestants:

Dwarves
Balin
Bombur
Dori
Fili
Gloin
Kili
Thrain (father of Thorin)
Thror (grandsire of Thorin)

Men/Elves
Beorn
Elrond
Galion (Elvenking's Butler)
Elvenking
Girion

Bad Guys
Bert
Bolg
Chief Warg
Smaug
William
Tom

Others
Eagle Lord
Roac
Necromancer
Belladonna Took
Bullroarer (Bilbo's great ancestor)
Old Took

You can finally start Day 21!!!

Meneltarmacil 12-31-2005 08:06 PM

++Roac

We need these old useless birds out of here, now. All he's good for is remembering stuff from the past and translating from other birds, of which there are none.

Plus, he looks tasty.

The Saucepan Man 12-31-2005 08:43 PM

++ Galion (yawn)

Unless I am galvanised into voting for someone else ...

Kuruharan 01-01-2006 09:11 AM

*grabs The Saucepan Man and begins to galvanize him*

++ The Necromancer, The Necromancer, The Necromancer

There, galvanized yet?

Glirdan 01-01-2006 10:00 PM

Ok, I'm going to extend today until tomorrow 3 votes is not nearly enough, even if I'm about to vote as well. So, everyone has until tomorrow.

My vote will be, of course, for

++Galion

If there's still not a satisfying amount of votes tomorrow, I will extend again. So, get voting!!!!!

Well, you haven't exactly roused me... but I'll vote.

But remember that it's still holiday time... people are offline more, hanging out more (stomachs are doing that too) and this thread has been in the subconscious rather than the conscious part of the mind for a week or so now...

That said, I vote for the negligent Galion, who seems to be exactly the sort of scapegoat that a lethargic, almost drunklike state such as this needs. You know what they say: "the butler did it".

++ Galion "the Butler"

arcticstorm 01-01-2006 10:15 PM

and yet again, I am going to vote to remove the butler and hope that finally he is removed
++Galion

Anguirel 01-02-2006 08:31 AM

With Dain gone (what idiot persuaded the island to evict that noble Dwarf Lord??) no-one will be able to spearhead a counterattack if the Necromancer goes for a bit of idle world domination. We need to get him off, for the sake of the others!

Besides, rumour has it that the Necromancer isn't really interested in winning this game any more. He's signed a deal with Black Land PLC to participate in "I'm a Gondorian, Get Me Out Of Here"-as the host!

++galion
Just get rid of him before i go crazy.

Celuien 01-03-2006 03:54 AM

++ THE NECROMANCER

Besides his lack of motivation, The Necromancer is killing ratings with his constant gloomy behavior and menacing appearance. And all of his powers are insufficient to bring the viewership back from the dead.

At the risk of sending WaynetheGoblin over the edge, and to punish Glirdan for keeping the voting open for so long ( :p ;) ) ...

-- GALION
++ THE NECROMANCER

He was a runner up in the Silmarillion Survivor. That should be enough for him, so I'm content to give someone else a chance (perhaps even the drunken butler :D ).

Tuor of Gondolin 01-03-2006 12:56 PM

Let's hope it's not Galion. if so, imagine
his speech to his elf guard drinking buddies:

"Hey, I love youze guys. And we're never
gonna see each other again until we all
get to the Halls of Waiting. :(

Kuruharan 01-03-2006 02:52 PM

If we succeed in dispatching the Evil One today, I'll join the quest to dispose of the Pickled One tomorrow.

Glirdan 01-03-2006 08:59 PM

Ahhh!!! Who am I kidding!?!? I'll never get him off. Oh well. Anyway, you all know who's out, so.... HERE COMES THE CAST OUT!!!!!!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 21 was a rather long day. Nobody was to eager to vote for anyone. They all wanted to stay on the island as long as possible. Finally, the host decided that enough was enough and he gathered up all the votes before anymore could come in. The voting that night was a little, I must say, random. Yet, randomness is always good for a laugh:

Roac - 1
Galion - 4
The Necromancer - 8

"He had his chance at winning the prize!! Why should he get the chance again?" and with that, The Necromancer, or Sauron as he likes to be known as, went on a rampage and conjured a volcano in the middle of the island and it began to shake. "THE VOLCANO'S GOING TO ERUPT!!!!" With that, Manwe swept in and cast Sauron into the Void to join his master and he also stopped the eruption of the volcano, but the volcano itself didn't disappear. "Hey!! Volcano's aren't my specialty!! That's Aule's job and he's on vacation with Yavanna right now. So live with it!!" with that, he left and went back to his home in Valinor.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will now be merging some of the teams, so, be ready to change/add some/to your reasonings for cast outs.

++OLD TOOK, THE

Gerontius should be content with his coverage in Fordim's upcoming RP. His deafness is seriously grating and unfunny and his sanctimonious kindness is patently hypocritical.

Tuor of Gondolin 01-04-2006 06:58 AM

Well, Galion seems to have more lives then
the cats of Queen Beruthiel (okay, so Strider
may have gotten the quote wrong).

As for voting out:

No kidding. We should probably all just resign ourselves to his inevitable triumph. (Don't tell arcticstorm.)

What is all this ageism that seems to suddenly be running rampant throughout the island? The poor Old Took can't help it he's lived this long...

Not to mention the persecution of the intellectually challenged (Bert) and the attempted elimination of a seriously endangered species (Smaug). :eek: ;)

Whereas the drunk brings it all upon himself ...

This we must find out... What WILL Wayne do if Galion stays?

Now, to convince the SPM that someone else is worthy of his wrath....

It appears that Bert is leading, so I present you therefore with data suggesting that this uncouth troll is, in fact, not worth as much as Galion.

Bert, as everyone ought to know, is a troll. This being the Barrow-Downs, everybody ought to want to get him off just for that reason. In fact, he ought to have been deleted out of the game by an all-powerful Admin for that very reason. Do we not have "don't feed the troll" notices up on this board? Don't we all eagerly neg-rep a troll down to the very depths of chasm below the Bridge of Khazad-dum?

Furthermore, Bert is an anachronism. Who can explain the presence of that accent and a name like "Bert" within the Legendarium that is Middle-Earth. His presence, and that of his comrades is one of the most glaring disruptions of the thematic whole, and has incurred the wrath of Davem, if of no others.

What's more, this Bert is a known cannibal! A cannibal with an appetite for just about every type of creature remaining on the board: hobbits, dwarves, elves, men, mutton. You name it, he'll eat it. Would we want our one and only Burrahobbit eaten and killed just because we didn't evict this dimwitted troll from this game?

Finally, I have to ask you why you even bother permitting a stone statue to take place in this game. We have evicted several old and dead Dwarves on the simple basis of them being dead and rotting, so should we not remove this Troll to a more suitable place, such as pedestal in some courtyard?

I call upon you all to do the wise thing, and vote:

++Bert

And remember, don't feed the troll.

Elu Ancalime 01-04-2006 04:12 PM

--Galion, ++Bert

Perhaps Galion will find more loopholes in democracy, like many other people do. For the present, Galion is just an annoyance, and as Formendacil stated Bert is bringing about cannabalism on the island. Bert is leading a secret group consisting of *NAME AND RACE WITHELD*. They might be planning on eating the remaining hobbits, and to stop this madness, we must put our ill feelings against Galion aside (yet again) and remove Bert from the island and the the hobbits from fear! Vote against Bert Today! Do it for the Hobbits!
