Beren >> Curudan

in six, using three inanimate objects
or
in five, using two inanimate objects

Not as hard as the previous but its not too bad.

Pallando B.C 03-09-2003 08:32 PM

Can I have some information on Curudan please.

the real findorfin 03-10-2003 03:36 AM

Sorry, of course.

Curudan is the brother of Nerdanel.

Pallando B.C 03-11-2003 04:18 PM

Thanks. With that info, this may be the answer!

Beren ->Huan ->Celegorm ->Curudan

Annunfuiniel 03-11-2003 04:24 PM

Or could it be:

Beren > Angrist > Silmaril > Fëanor > Curudan?
Don't know any better...

the real findorfin 03-14-2003 05:44 PM

Sorry for the delay.

Annunfuiniel has it, well done! I thought that was difficult, oh well.

Your turn!

Annunfuiniel 03-15-2003 03:15 AM

Thanks! It was challenging!
Ok, Saruman >> Éowyn, in six using one inanimate object.

Pallando B.C 03-15-2003 05:32 AM

Saruman ->Treebeard ->Merry ->Pippin ->Palantrí ->Aragorn ->Éowyn

Annunfuiniel 03-15-2003 05:37 AM

Sorry, no, though it does work. Oh, and you got the item right!

Narya 03-15-2003 06:27 AM

Maybe it´s this one:

Saruman -> Gandalf -> Pippin -> Palantir ->Denethor -> Faramir -> Eowyn

or anything else with Palantir->Denethor->Faramir

Annunfuiniel 03-15-2003 06:36 AM

Good job, Narya! You got them all (+one more) although the exact line I was thinking of goes: Saruman > Palantír > Pippin > Denethor > Faramir > Éowyn
Please proceed!

Narya 03-20-2003 07:50 AM

Thanks and sorry for the delay...

Tuor-->Thingol
in six degrees

[ March 20, 2003: Message edited by: Narya ]

the real findorfin 03-20-2003 01:31 PM

Tuor > Turin > Thingol

but in six, Tuor > Turgon > Aredhel > Maeglin > Eol > Thingol >

Annunfuiniel 03-20-2003 01:56 PM

Tuor > Idril > Turgon > Fingolfin > Finwë > Elwë(aka Thingol)?

Narya 03-20-2003 03:13 PM

That´s not what I thought of...
most of the persons are related through their families in my solution...
and there are allways direkt relationships, such as brother/sister father (mother) / son (daughter) and so on...

So keep on guessing...

Pallando B.C 03-20-2003 07:18 PM

Sometimes there are many alternatives, so you may have to give it to them sometimes. Also, don't tell them how many seperations you want. The point of the game is to get the answer in the least seperations possible.

Tuor ->Eärendil ->Elrond ->Bilbo ->Frodo ->Galadriel ->Thingol

Narya 03-21-2003 12:27 PM

Okay, Pallando.
In this case it´s very easy to find an answer with only three degrees and there are many other possibilities...
but I thought of something with six degrees
and your answer is very close to my one

I thought of Tuor->Earendil->Elrond->Celebrian->Galadriel->Thingol

I wanted to have an answer with someone Elrond was connected with after the First Age and then a connection from that person to Galadriel, who is connected with Thingol.
I know it is confusing, sorry...

Pallando B.C 03-21-2003 06:10 PM

No need to apologise Narya! Is it my go?

Narya 03-22-2003 09:00 AM

Yep, yours was the 'best' one!

Pallando B.C 03-22-2003 08:04 PM

Great!

elven maiden Earwen 03-28-2003 06:11 PM

correct

Pallando B.C 03-30-2003 01:26 AM

Great!

Námo ->Théodwyn

Joy 04-08-2003 01:03 AM

This one is interesting!

Since Men (humans) do pass to the Halls of Mandos for a short time before passing beyond the Circles of the World, I would say that Theodwyn met Námo!

Unless you want to use - Námo -> Manwë -> Olorin (Gandalf) -> Theoden -> Theodwyn

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 04-08-2003 02:28 AM

One could link Namo and Olorin through Irmo, also
