Sorry it has taken me so long to put in a post, especially to you Kryssal, I know you made that post a while ago!

Just to put it here:

We have the groups that are attacking, three from memory. They go through the trees and ambush the camp.

And Jesslyns archers will be nearer to the city in case all goes ill.

Now, I have to place a post where Annanoldowen arrives with the men of Gondor, ill have that in as well.

They will be a fourth group in the attack.

Aylwen: I hope my post is an OK use of Adela and Stefan?

It was actually Elena who was supposed to say: "She's probably hiding somewhere," she said brightly. "probably in the woods! I mean, we are well but your family and my Papa were probably worried about us. There must be people all over the place!"
But I think it works just as well the other way, so don't change it unless you want to.

Lyra: Yep! It's all good. And, Oops to the Fiona/Elena thing...I knew that (my response everytime I mess up...)! [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] Sorry bout that! I'll post again for Adela and Stefan soon, and then I'll probably edit to include any conversation with my other chara's.

So Tara, will anything "happen" to the people in the caves? I mean attacks or anything?

At the most those people will encounter a handful of fleeing Wild Men, and possibly be able to help some injured Rohirrim or Gondorian soldiers. But no major battle.

I just wanted to bring all of you, even if your chara's wont actually be fighting, into the development of this battle scene. My thinking is that the more opinions the better!

Okay, I should first set the scene:

The encampment of the Wild Men is in what the people call the 'Southern Confines'. It is cornered on three sides by forest. The side not backed faces towards the mountains, away from the Village. This means that most of the attacks have been troops of Wild Men fading in and out through the trees.

So, what needs to be figured is who attacks where?

Im assuming the Rohirrim would be horsed, as would some of the Gondorians.

What do you all think?

Lanaey would probably want to go around to the furthest side with few horses, including hers. How are we coordinating the attacks exactly? Sun position or call signal or something? I'd go against call signal 'cause it alerts the entire camp, but if it's all we got *shrug* And exactly how many men will be in each group?

Im not entirely sure....there are no specified numbers for wither army

We have three groups yes?

The only number that I can remember is that the Rohirrim are close to 500 possibly. So make it 400 to account for losses?

If so, half would have horses, and will be with the Gondorians that have them also. That will be the group Lanaey leads.

As far as signalling, flaming arrow?

It should be coordinated that those in the trees go first, then as the Wild Men are driven back, the horses close them in

One of Jess' archers can shoot that flaming arrow, if it is agreed upon to be the signal! [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

In any case I think Jesslyn will have thirty or so archers, but if this number is wrong just let me know! [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Gondorians on horseback (Lanaey): Annanoldowen, Lanaey, and Gellick.

For all the people in the battle scene, here is a rough idea for posting, if you can call it that:

-Laurel takes on Wild King and wins *cheers* ;P

- Arrow is fired, all companies run into the battle

-Laurel is nabbed by Cuor, Gita following

-Cartil and any others rescue her (volunteers?)

- The horsemen and soldiers overwhealm the Wild Men, and drive them out/ kill most of them. Leena and Lanaey posting that victory here would be excellent [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

-Laurel returns to see the battle won!

After that, we should have a few happy ending posties *grins*

Anyone wants to tweak with it, nows your chance!

Leena is going to die. You know, fyi. Also, Tara, you might want to put in the arrow before you start fighting. It gives a go for the rest of us.

Does this sound plausible: Adela starts crying and saying that everyone is going to die or something, Fiona gets upset and shakes her shoulders or something, and Stefan steps in. Then we have a fight going? (Or something!)

Our benevolent leader, Tara, is having new forum problems and cannot currently log on. So, we'll do without a bit. I'll make her add in the flying arrow when she gets back on. Everyone post for the fights :)

I really have to apologize to you both..and to the Roan gamers...

I do not believe I have done a very good job of keeping this game on trac. We well exceeded our finish target, and we are lapsing. I am very sorry I let this happen and I too, want to finish this story as soon as possible
