Folwren 07-14-2005 09:40 AM

It was SO easy, too!!!! *sigh* Oh well.

the guy who be short 07-14-2005 10:16 AM

It is Merry, but not about Old Man Willow.

Folwren 07-14-2005 10:32 AM

Why, it was when he came tearing back to the inn at Bree after his encounter with the Nazgul.

the guy who be short 07-14-2005 10:33 AM

Correct, Folwren, over to you.

Folwren 07-14-2005 11:13 AM

But...Morm got the quote.

the guy who be short 07-14-2005 11:37 AM

I'm not sure because I'm pretty new to QQ, but I think the person needs to get the quote, the speaker and who they're speaking to / the circumstances. So I think you get it, Folwren.

Folwren 07-14-2005 11:44 AM

Well, you'd know better than I. I'll take it, but if some one who's older to the game says that it should go to Morm, we'll cut mine short and she can have it.

the guy who be short 07-14-2005 11:47 AM

"E"s please. And morm's a man by the way. :)

mormegil 07-14-2005 11:51 AM

Firefoot and Guinevere could answer but I don't think you actually need to get who's saying it but I don't mind passing it on to Folwren, it's easier to guess at times ;)

"A"

Just a question Folwren why did you think me to be a woman? So many people have...do I ooze estrogen over the net?

Firefoot 07-14-2005 12:00 PM

For as long as I've been playing, you only need to get the quote. You don't need to get the speaker, as in most quotes games. Most people give it, though, because they fill in the quote by figuring out what part of it is then finding in the texts. However, there have been some that no one has figured out where it was and ended up getting it just by filling in all the letters...

Long story short: technically this was Morm's turn. But if he doesn't mind letting Folwren go ahead, we can just continue.

O's, please.

the guy who be short 07-14-2005 12:02 PM

Hmmm. Sorry morm, though you don't seem to care. If it helps, I've always thought of you as male... :p

Folwren 07-14-2005 12:34 PM

I am so sorry, Mormegil, I had no idea. I have to say it was the name that probably led me off first. If it's one of Tolkien's works, I haven't read of him, and if it's not, then you can't blame me too much because some names sound both like a man's or a woman's. And intelligent women can sound like men when they're just typing, so it's really hard to tell sometimes on the internet. My most humble apologies, though, I had no idea and I didn't mean to offend. (I'm glad that it appears that I haven't, but still...)

I'm sorry to take a right that isn't mine...but you all've told me to go on with it. So, there it is, with your letters filled in.

mormegil 07-14-2005 12:45 PM

"S" Please

Folwren I take no offense from that whatsover...now TGWBS body odor that's another topic :p (ahhh petty rivalries) But seriously I hope you don't feel bad. I get peoples gender wrong all the time. In fact I have no idea of yours.

Edit: Mormegil is another name that Turin gave to himself.

Firefoot 07-14-2005 12:47 PM

R's?

the guy who be short 07-15-2005 01:10 PM

Does anybody understand me?

'For the lands were freed then from evil,' she said, 'by the Black Sword of the south, who now has fallen, they say.'

Aerin to Turin about the depature of Morwen.

Geez I finally got it...thanks. Guinevere you are always too kind! I know that you were able to guess it back then...so it should really be your turn.

the guy who be short 07-15-2005 03:44 PM

Ah well... I pass it to the Black Sword unless he decides to gift it to Guinevere. :P
