...and here's my random guess...
L'il Mr. Wood?

Davin 02-24-2003 09:28 PM

Oh man..this one is on the tip of my tongue...aa... I want to say Sean Astin...but I'm not totally sure anymore!

Rochelle 02-24-2003 10:17 PM

For all it's worth, your randomness won out

It was Elijah Wood! (With some credit going to Dom who also said the last part).

Watch the commentary in the SE and you'll hear it!

Eressië Ailin 02-24-2003 10:34 PM

Why I am I the only without the special edition?!?!? Oh well, I'll get it tomorrow, cuz I have a ~SNOW DAY~!!!!! YAAAYYY!!!!

Samwise 02-24-2003 10:42 PM

'Kay, an easy one....
Quote:

"Little did I know as I powered through The Lord of the Rings that there would be this whole world for me to become immersed in: both imaginatively, in reading the book, and then physically, while trying to bring that book to life in the films. "

Eressië Ailin 02-24-2003 11:00 PM

Just because I don't read this interviews, I don't know.

PJ??

Rochelle 02-24-2003 11:08 PM

Hmmm I'll go with Sean Astin.

Samwise 02-24-2003 11:36 PM

And Rochelle would not only be right, she's given me the chance to shout again ...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR. ASTIN !!!!!!!!(Who's still younger than me, but......)

Rochelle 02-25-2003 12:10 AM

*gasps* Yay! Somehow when you said it would be 'easy' I figured you meant because you're favorite 'lil hobbit said it

As for the next quote...

Quote:

It's like I was a nice soft pillow for him to land on...I gave him a few beatings for that.

Eressië Ailin 02-25-2003 03:52 PM

Right now now I feel really stupid....

How about Orli?

Rochelle 02-25-2003 04:44 PM

Well you would be correct! He was talking about the scene in Moria when Boromir almost falls into the abyss (because the stairs were no more)...and Legolas rushes up to save him, pulling him backwards. Orlando also quoted that Sean Bean gave no mercy in falling back onto him! *lol*

You're up!

Eressië Ailin 02-25-2003 04:53 PM

Yay for randomness!!! Ok, here's mine:

Quote:

I know that I killed each stuntperson at least fifty times.

Eruwen 02-25-2003 07:26 PM

Would that be John Rhys-Davies? Not too many quotes by him get on this topic, but I believe this one is. I do remember Dom talking about John taking out all the stunt guys when he hit them.

Rochelle 02-25-2003 07:30 PM

It sounds like they're referring to the fact that PJ does so many takes...I'm going to go with Viggo since dear Eruwen has guess John Rhys-Davies

Eruwen 02-25-2003 07:53 PM

Right, you know, Rochelle, you make a very good point. I guess I didn't think of how the person said it. I'm going to stick with my answer though...just in case. {Though I have a feeling you're right.}

Eressië Ailin 02-25-2003 10:25 PM

It's Viggo! Isn't he SOOOOO HOT?!?!
He said it in a making of Helm's Deep video. He said something like:

Quote:

I was trying to figure out, sometime, about two thirds of the way through the whole shoot of The Lord of the Rings, how many times I had killed cartain stuntplayers.... And I know that I killed each stuntperson at least fifty times.
Your turn, Rochelle.

Alrighty here goes!

Quote:

Usually at New Years, you think, well, what am I going to do this year. I've got so much on my plate and so many things can happen and the only thing that was in my head was, well, I'm doing The Lord Of The Rings, that's all year and that's amazing.

Eressië Ailin 02-25-2003 11:22 PM

Oh I know this one!!! I just can't remember who said it!!

Is it Elijah?

Rochelle 02-25-2003 11:26 PM

That it is You're turn!

Eressië Ailin 02-25-2003 11:30 PM

Hooray!! I'm right!!!

Quote:

But that's been the big change in my life. I'm suddenly a bit famous. I just went out for lunch today and met a guy in his late twenties who'd seen the film 10 times.

Beruthiel 02-26-2003 12:39 AM

Wasn't that Ian Mckellen?
I think I read it on one of the editorials on the official movie site.

[ February 26, 2003: Message edited by: Beruthiel ]

Eressië Ailin 02-26-2003 09:06 AM

That was too easy... Yep, it's him. Your turn!

Beruthiel 02-28-2003 12:52 AM

Okay here's the quote
Quote:

You've got this power. Films can influence so many people. If you've got a view, a message that needs to be said, you can make a film

Eruwen 02-28-2003 09:56 AM

Is it PJ? It sounds very much like a director speaking.

Eressië Ailin 02-28-2003 11:07 PM

I've got a good feeling that you're right, Eruwen. But since this is supposed to be actor's quotes, I'm going to take another random guess. Elijah?

Samwise 02-28-2003 11:16 PM

Sean Astin (my guess) is a director, too. However, PJ did have a bit part as a Breelander in FOTR, so he can be counted as an actor.

Eressië Ailin 03-01-2003 07:06 PM

Oh yeah... forgot about that... But I think they ended up cutting out the part tht showed PJ, didn't they? I thought I heard some one say that when I watched the movie with cast commentary and I don't remember seeing PJ in the film.

Samwise 03-01-2003 07:11 PM

I don't know...I think I didn't even know he had that bit part 'til after I saw the movie.
I know if I saw him I didn't know it--he would have been made-up, anyway.

Beruthiel, you there? Anyone right?

Beruthiel 03-02-2003 01:44 AM

Sorry it took me a while to get back to all of ya! Anyways Eressië got it right, it was Elijah. You're turn then

Eressië Ailin 03-02-2003 01:33 PM

Really? I got it right? *does a little happy dance*

Ok, here's the next one:

Quote:

I hadn't read The Lord of the Rings, but I read the script and realized what an amazing role it was.

Hirilaelin 03-02-2003 02:15 PM

Elijah? really have no clue...

Eressië Ailin 03-02-2003 02:16 PM

Nope, guess again.

Rochelle 03-02-2003 09:45 PM

I'm thinking Billy Boyd?

Samwise 03-02-2003 11:46 PM

Sean Astin?

Elfhelm 03-03-2003 12:22 AM

I recall hearing that Sir Ian McKellen has never read the Lord of the Rings, only the Hobbit.

vanwalossien 03-03-2003 08:09 AM

Or Viggo? I know he hadn't read Lotr, but his son had, he talked him into taking the part.. PJ wasn't edited away from Fotr. You can see him outside in Bree.

Eressië Ailin 03-03-2003 08:29 AM

No one has it yet...

Rochelle 03-03-2003 08:57 AM

Not yet huh...I'll go with Dominic Monaghan? I could swear I remember reading/hearing one of the hobbits sayin that *lol*

Hirilaelin 03-03-2003 04:03 PM

Now for something completely random....

Brad Dourif?

Eressië Ailin 03-03-2003 06:50 PM

Keep guessing!! I didn't think it was that hard...
