Yes, a person.

Nerwen 12-16-2008 08:25 AM

Yes, this person was alive in the third age.

Nerwen 12-16-2008 09:28 AM

Meneltarmacil 12-16-2008 10:36 AM

Is this person from the lands east of the Misty Mountains?

Beregond 12-16-2008 10:42 AM

Again, yes.

Folwren 12-18-2008 11:56 AM

Was this person around the area of the Lonely Mountain?

Beregond 12-18-2008 12:01 PM

No, this third age mortal person was from East of the Misty Mountains, but not from around Erebor.

Meneltarmacil 12-18-2008 12:12 PM

Was this person from Gondor?

Beregond 12-18-2008 12:18 PM

Yes, this person was from the realm of Gondor.

Meneltarmacil 12-18-2008 12:23 PM

Male?

Beregond 12-18-2008 12:30 PM

Yes!

(Only one "no" so far..)

Meneltarmacil 12-18-2008 01:22 PM

Did he appear in LOTR?

Am I the only one asking questions now?

Beregond 12-18-2008 01:31 PM

Yes, you're the only person asking about this third age male mortal from Gondor, in the Lord of the Rings.

Meneltarmacil 12-18-2008 02:22 PM

Is this guy from the lineage of the Stewards?

Beregond 12-18-2008 11:14 PM

Nay, you are astray.

Nerwen 12-20-2008 05:15 AM

Did this person live in Minas Tirith?

Beregond 12-20-2008 10:40 AM

No, this third age male mortal character from LotR lived in the land of Gondor, but not in the White City.

Meneltarmacil 12-20-2008 03:08 PM

Was it Imrahil?

Beregond 12-20-2008 03:24 PM

Nay, not Imrahil by half. :)

Meneltarmacil 12-20-2008 04:56 PM

One of those other nobles that showed up with their armies?

Beregond 12-20-2008 09:38 PM

No, not one of them.

Meneltarmacil 12-20-2008 10:08 PM

A ranger of Ithilien, perhaps?

Beregond 12-20-2008 11:40 PM

To that I also say no. :)

Ilya 12-21-2008 12:42 AM

Did this person fight during the Siege?

Beregond 12-21-2008 09:23 AM

No, he didn't.

Meneltarmacil 12-21-2008 05:47 PM

Would this happen to be the King of the Dead, then?

Beregond 12-21-2008 06:18 PM

Nay, this person is living.

Ilya 12-21-2008 07:34 PM

Was this person of military age during the War?

Beregond 12-21-2008 07:55 PM

I...don't know. Kind of doesn't matter (hint hint). Not too young, certainly!

Beregond 12-30-2008 12:29 AM

I refuse to go down in history as the thread-killer! Here's a hint - this person is...secretive.

And...this third age male mortal character from LotR who lived in the land of Gondor, but not in the White City, is NOT Imrahil or any Lord or Ranger. Nor is he dead. He did not quite fight in the Siege of Minas Tirith and was old, but not necessarily past fighting age. If there is one clue you should pay less attention to, it would be "Gondor".

Samwise 01-04-2009 02:44 PM

Aragorn?

Beregond 01-04-2009 02:53 PM

Goodness, I'd forgot this thread was still mine. No, not Aragorn - and to give you a hint - not even close. :)

Pitchwife 02-02-2009 05:12 PM

Wild guess: Ghân-buri-Ghân?

Beregond 02-02-2009 05:16 PM

YES! Yes, yes, indeed yes, it is him! "Wild" guess payed off. :D

Pitchwife 02-02-2009 05:52 PM

Wow!:D

OK, I've got something. Ask away!

Beregond 02-02-2009 06:04 PM

I'm just glad you got it right before I forgot it! :D

The typical lead-off question: are you thinking of a person?
